“Came early on a Monday, shortly after opening. Greeted promptly, sat immediately, food came out within minutes. Coffee was good, shumai were great, and really enjoyed the broth in the soup. Looking forward to trying some other things in the future!“

“Little tao is my hidden gem in Boston for spicy food. It has various kinds of Szechuan cuisines. I love the stir fried pork belly with chili. This place also has dumplings. The Taiwanese tradition dumplings is very delicious with meat and beans inside.“

“DELISH! WOW everything was so flavorful 🫰😊 good portions!! Braised pork feet were melty n tender…Nam Tok had plenty of toppings, tender beef and perf chewy wide rice noodles 😛🫰🫰 yummi mustard greens that came w everything — wings were juicy! “Love Tu y Yo in Somerville but quite a drive for us. This has the same owners and much of the same menu and is much closer. This restaurant was wonderful! My favorites are the cactus salad, the tamales, plantains, and birria tacos. Mole wasn't my favorite, and pozole was good but a bit salty. Staff were really friendly and welcoming! Definitely looking forward to coming back!“

“I ate here twice this week while on a business trip. The food is excellent, but a light bulb was flickering on Sunday and was still strobe-lighting my dinner on Tuesday. It was annoying to dine under—I don’t know how the staff hasn’t gone crazy.“

“This Korean restaurant has always been one of my go-to spots for an easy, delicious meal with generous portions. The jokbal and bossam were definitely the highlights! The jokbal was flavorful and satisfyingly tender, while the bossam was rich, juicy, and delicious when paired with the side dishes. Both felt unique and comforting, especially if you’re craving a hearty pork dish.
A couple of the side dishes seemed old, although they were still good, and the service can be inconsistent; sometimes great, other times a bit disappointing. Overall, it’s still a solid four-star experience, and I’ll definitely be back for the jokbal and bossam!“

“Cafe Mami is a neighborhood gem. We've been coming here for years to enjoy their variety of Japanese comfort food. They have probably the best curry in Boston. Love the depth of great fruity curry flavor with their pork and chicken katsu and hamburger. Their gyudon has crispy sliced beef and beansprouts. Couple of our favorites are the Nininku chicken and beef tofu sets. Sauces are great and free refills on rice. They offer great value and quality. Staff is friendly and efficient. So happy they are still in the neighborhood after all these years.“

“I don't go to bars much these days but came here for a live music event, the Nirvana tribute band and this place is awesome. The place LOOKS amazing, they had sports playing on a bunch of tvs the food was PHENOMENAL, you order and they text you when it's ready that was pretty wild to me, and the best part of all the amazing staff that was so friendly to me and my family members. Would highly recommend, the concert was AWESOME and would definitely come here again. Really memorable night. THANK YOU“

“Pho Viet is one of my favorite spots in Newton Center! The food is always delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. You can really tell that they care about the quality of what they serve.
The owner is incredibly kind and welcoming, and the treatment I’ve received every time I’ve visited has always been exceptional. It’s not just a place where you go for good pho—you genuinely feel welcomed and taken care of.
Great food, great service, and an even better atmosphere. I highly recommend giving Pho Viet a try if you’re in Newton Center!“

“I was visiting frequently before my dad was transferred to a hospice center. I wish I could remember the cashier’s name who helped me. She was always SO KIND and put a huge smile on my face, having no idea what I was going through. The rest of the staff is great too. The food always came out quickly and it was delicious.“

“This is still a fairly new location, it's very nice, clean & attractive, large & spacious with wifi and outlets for phone charging. The squash soup with toasted pumpkins was the BEST!!! And the the cafe latte and bacon BLT on tomato bread was perfect, plenty of bacon. Service was fast. It wasn't very crowded until around 12:30 pm when I left. My only issue is the prices are too high for what you get in size and quantity of food, otherwise a great place for a meal or fancy coffee & a relatively quiet place to sit and relax, highly recommended!“

“I dined in and enjoyed the Pho Ga soup; plenty of noodles, chicken and a more limited quantity of veggies.
The waitress was attentive and welcoming. Excellent service.
The interior of the restaurant is drab and could use brightening up. I appreciated the lack of TV and loud background music.
I was the only customer dining in for lunch at 2 PM. It sounds like there are few customers on longer weekends like this one during Labor Day.
Overall, a pleasant and filling lunch. I hope that more people will stop by and dine or order out.“

“I didn't care for my meal (General Tsao's chicken) it was overcooked and kinda meh. But my partner loved her meal (veggie lo-mein and chicken fingers) The service was excellent, the atmosphere was great for enjoying a quick dinner after wrapping up errands. I'd go again and give it another shot.“

“Friends and I stopped by to grab a bite and witnessed a really beautiful moment! A child and their parent were in the store, and their Minnie balloon floated to the ceiling with no string attached. An employee named Victor tried to grab the balloon and when they couldn’t, Victor went to the back, grabbed a step stool and got the balloon down. Victor deserves some recognition!Maria gave us our food, 3 soups and sandwiches, and all were good.“

“Food was executed mostly well, only some of roasted chicken a bit dried out & old and there was very little chicken on one sandwich. (Maybe 1oz max)
Tables and floor were clean.
Most of booths had one person camped in a four person booth, there all day with outside food and beverages. (And a messy/dirty)
Drink area is well maintained.“

“Really great! We live in Waltham and haven’t had great Chinese in years. Hubby was going through Newton coming home, so I just picked this place on a whim. Highly recommend. Prices aren’t crazy. House rice is amazing!“

“The price to quality ratio is very good, the only thing better would be the Costco $5 chicken. Lunch specials run $11 or $13 and comes with a bowl of rice.
While other restaurants in general load the meal up with fillers, such as breads, beans or rice, the ratio here is the other way around. There is 2X or 3x of the dish, relative to starch.
Comes with tea, picked vegetables and dry peanuts“
