Masao's Kitchen Reviews
Energetic atmosphere, delicious food very well priced, yummy cocktails. Brian was an awesome server! Great spot for a casual night out or something more celebratory with a group.
The food was very good with lots of gluten free options for one member of the party that is celiac. Appetizers, main meals and desserts were all excellent!
Great food and staff. Tried the crispy rice salmon and tuna bites with the pickle martini. So good!
Masao's Kitchen is a highly regarded vegetarian restaurant, considered one of the best in Boston and even on the planet. The establishment is known for its healthy and delicious food, with dishes cooked to perfection to preserve their natural health benefits. The tofu and seitan are particularly praised. The restaurant has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, with many gluten-free options available. Standout dishes include the BBQ tofu, butternut squash millet, black bean stew, and vanilla custard. The food is fresh, simple, and packed with flavor, even if lightly seasoned to suit older customers. The hot bar is constantly replenished, ensuring a variety of tasty choices. Customers appreciate seeing Masao preparing the meals himself, and his genuine happiness and kindness create a warm dining experience. The restaurant operates as a small buffet, where diners serve themselves, and food is made fresh daily. Desserts like almond cookies are also available. Many customers feel nourished and welcomed, wishing it were closer to enjoy more often. Overall, Masao's Kitchen offers unbelievable home-cooked vegan meals in a friendly, local setting, with prices that are fair and comparable to other hot and salad bars.
