“Let’s talk about Forest Hills Diner. As a Boston Native, How Dare I be from here, have attended High School in Hyde Park, and have never eaten at Forest Hills Diner until today. Literally! I was TODAY years old when I learned that Forest Hills Diner has some amazingggggggggg food.

I flew in this morning to check on my grandmother and decided to grab breakfast with one of my best friends before heading over. She had been raving about Forest Hills Diner, so of course, I had to go.

It was early in the morning, so the foot traffic was slow. The restaurant was very clean, and as soon as we opened the door, the gentleman behind the counter was very welcoming, offering a warm greeting and a big smile.

As I was at the counter exploring the menu, I was excited to see the variety of options offered. There literally was so much to choose from, and I wanted one of everything. LoL! However, I decided to get the Beef Smoked Sausage on an English Muffin with Home Fries, add Onions, Extra Onions, Well Well Well Done…

The Beef Sausage was well done and juicy. The smokiness was super flavorful and let the natural beef flavor shine, yet it held its own lane as well. The sandwich also had a generous portion of meat and was well worth the price.

The Home Fries were absolutely amazing. They were done the exact way I ordered them. They were very well seasoned and the crispiness of the edges paired with the softness of the middle, OhEmGeeeeeeeeeeee… I want more now. LoL!!!

As I was eating, the foot traffic definitely picked up, and it was so heart-warming to see the guy behind the counter welcome people by name as they walked through the door. This is a representation of TRUE service. The kind of survive that you don’t see anymore. Not to mention, the charm of a local spot where the people know your name. Ha

Overall, my experience at Forest Hills Diner was superb. Not only was it an experience worth promoting, but it was also so amazing that I will ensure I come back whenever I am home and in the mood for breakfast. The go-to will be Forest Hills Diner.

“Nice diner in Dedham. The service was great and the place was clean. We ordered the egg breakfast with French toast, steak omelet with avocado and avocado toast on sourdough. We also ordered hot chocolate and strawberry & banana crepes that were delicious. The portions are good sized and the prices are reasonable. Definitely lots of townies and that's a great sign. The food was tasty but the home fries need some seasoning.“

“We went for the first time today and had a really great experience! We came in with our 2 year old and there weren't any tables so we sat at the counter with the toddler. The food came super fast and was perfect for him and then a table opened up and they promptly reseated us and helped us bring all of our stuff. The special benny was delicious and felt really fresh and the corned beef was lovely. We will be back!“

“Jimmy’s is an amazing find. From the moment you walk in you’re warmly welcomed wether your the only customer or walking in with every seat filled. The energy is buzzing with friendly conversation as you can tell there are always returning customers and you feel right at home. Prices are beyond fair especially given the quality; coffees always bold and fresh. Home fries are by far the best in middelsex county. Everything from the hash to the pancakes is always great and has the made from scratch taste. The best part of Jimmys is the family who owns it, Rita is one of a kind and you can’t replicate this place or it’s atmosphere anywhere else. I recommend to give Jimmys a try if you haven’t yet, you will be back for more!“
