“The main thing I didn’t like was that it’s Dunkin and BR in the same store. The weird coffee smell from Dunkin is nauseating and takes away from the BR experience. This combo also meant a lack of space, such that only eight or ten flavors were available at the main counter. On the bright side, more can be found in the freezer in case they aren’t serving the classic flavor you’re looking for. (For me it was Pralines ‘n’ Cream) Shop was understaffed but the guy taking care of us was awesome. He knew every other person walking into the store, making a crappy place (in an otherwise nice area) feel a lot more welcoming, so props to him. I appreciated his attitude. Learned that sugar cones are also referred to as “cake cones” here for some reason. Long story short, considering the concerning lack of BR chains remaining in Massachusetts, it’s still worth the visit.“

They had a bunch of different, unique favors, and the guy working there was super helpful in letting us try out a bunch of different flavors and then telling us his favorites.

I ended up with the honeycomb, some kind of coffee flavor (I forget the name) and the apple cinnamon one. All three flavors were excellent, but I think the honeycomb was the best.

Would definitely recommend it if you are looking for ice cream in the area!“

The combination of mango, strawberry, pineapple, kiwi, and coconut creates a fresh tropical flavor that tastes like summer in every bite. The richness and the flavor profiles were out of this world, especially the latter flavor of the two. It’s dangerous to know the Kroger store is only five minutes from my house. We did a make your own sundae bar for Teacher Appreciation Week and it was a huge hit(60)! Working with Joe to get everything ordered and organized was a piece of cake! He was so helpful with suggestions and always replying back so quickly. Liz delivered to our school and was so helpful, showing me how to use the warmer and even helping to unpack the ice creams into the freezer. Their sizes and prices are unbeatable compared to some local places around and my kids absolutely love all their flavors and my husband is a big fan of the banana bucket. We stopped by just in passing, on our way to visit a university — and what a pleasant surprise it turned out to be!

The ice cream was delicious, with just the right balance of flavor — not overly sweet like many others. It was refreshing and satisfying.

What truly made the experience special was Mónica’s service. She was empathetic, kind, and patient — qualities that are becoming rare these days and that we deeply appreciated.

The place itself was spotlessly clean and beautifully presented, adding to the charm of the visit.

“Toscanini's has been my favorite ice cream spot for over 20 years. Even as I've moved around and lived in other cities, I always make a point to visit whenever I'm back in the Boston area. But a recent experience cemented my loyalty for life.

On Presidents' Day, our family showed up around 5 pm, not realizing the shop was closed for the holiday. When we couldn't open the door, we started knocking, thinking it was just stuck. Gus, the owner, came out and let us know they were closed for the day, but then asked us what we were looking for. We told him we were hoping to grab a pint, and he told us to wait just a moment. A few minutes later, he came back with a big bag full of different pints and let us walk away with two of them, suggesting we could come back and pay another day when they were actually open (or perhaps he didn't care!). We came back and paid two weeks later.

“Really incredible - creamy, perfect consistency, nice flavors including a plain sweet cream (which can be difficult to find), and some fun ones like right now fresh rose, also sweet corn is incredibly delicious. I also enjoyed the burnt sugar flavor. A Cambridge classic. Would highly recommend the homemade whipped cream as well. This is my favorite ice cream in Cambridge by far! Probably in my top 5 in the state too“
