“The main thing I didn’t like was that it’s Dunkin and BR in the same store. The weird coffee smell from Dunkin is nauseating and takes away from the BR experience. This combo also meant a lack of space, such that only eight or ten flavors were available at the main counter. On the bright side, more can be found in the freezer in case they aren’t serving the classic flavor you’re looking for. (For me it was Pralines ‘n’ Cream) Shop was understaffed but the guy taking care of us was awesome. He knew every other person walking into the store, making a crappy place (in an otherwise nice area) feel a lot more welcoming, so props to him. I appreciated his attitude. Learned that sugar cones are also referred to as “cake cones” here for some reason. Long story short, considering the concerning lack of BR chains remaining in Massachusetts, it’s still worth the visit.“

I was so excited that I could taste the black raspberry without any hint of almonds/sunbutter/coconut as is always the case at other places. Cal’s Creamery is the best! “Today a group of us visited Gerly’s ice cream and we were most pleasantly impressed by the real freshness of the flavors like everything stood out. Nothing was muddled. The bananas were real. The fig was real. The goat cheese was real. It just was so natural tasting. We also really enjoyed talking with the “man behind the counter.” He said he was a cousin of the owner. He was super knowledgeable and informed us about the ice cream workshops and about how people from near and far came for the nut free ice cream options. I would really like the decor and the interior of the store to match the richness and decadence of the ice cream itself. The look of the store does not quite match the awesomeness of the ice cream. Please try this ice cream… it is so good! Some of the best ice cream I have ever had!“

“I recently bought the Earl Grey Tea and Berry Cornbread at my local Kroger store and was blown away! The richness and the flavor profiles were out of this world, especially the latter flavor of the two. It’s dangerous to know the Kroger store is only five minutes from my house. I’ll definitely be trying other flavors.“

“I ordered a Power Boost bowl through DoorDash and overall the bowl itself was delicious. Upon receiving it, I discovered it contained walnuts (which I have an allergy to) and the ingredient info on DoorDash did not list walnuts. I reached out to the store and they immediately updated the ingredient info and offered to remake the bowl, which I really appreciated.

After looking into this further, my bigger concern is with DoorDash. There is currently no option during the ordering process to list a food allergy or request an ingredient be removed. The only note option available relates to substitutions if an item is unavailable, not allergy information.

If you have a food allergy or dietary restriction, I would highly recommend ordering directly through the store rather than through DoorDash so you can communicate those concerns directly and the restaurant can handle them accordingly because the bowl itself is absolutely worth trying!“

“Really good ice cream and fudge. My top two ice cream in the north east USA right now is Benson’s in Boxford, MA and Kimball Farm. I love their chocolate peanut butter and I love their chocolate chip and Oreo. I will go until they close for the winter next month“

“I stopped in after dinner with my date to finally try this place out and we were blown away.

First off: the flavors are amazing. They are both well thought of combinations and absolutely high quality products. This is artisan level ice cream. It is very dense and rich. It kind of reminds me of Italian gelato in a way. I loved the cones as well. You can order a 1, 2, or 3 scoop in a cone or cup. Or cone kind of looking thing in a cup.

The staff here was super nice and friendly. Thank you for your professionalism! I love the atmosphere of the store and it was very modern, clean, and intriguing. I wanted a cone as soon as I walked in.

Price wise, be prepared for expensive ice cream. In my opinion it was worth the purchase for how exceptionally better it was than the vast majority of places I’ve tried around town.

“Always have recommended for a normal ice cream day but after today, HIGHLY recommend even more for a catering gig! We did a make your own sundae bar for Teacher Appreciation Week and it was a huge hit(60)! Working with Joe to get everything ordered and organized was a piece of cake! He was so helpful with suggestions and always replying back so quickly. Liz delivered to our school and was so helpful, showing me how to use the warmer and even helping to unpack the ice creams into the freezer. Their sizes and prices are unbeatable compared to some local places around and my kids absolutely love all their flavors and my husband is a big fan of the banana bucket. “Toscanini's has been my favorite ice cream spot for over 20 years. Even as I've moved around and lived in other cities, I always make a point to visit whenever I'm back in the Boston area. But a recent experience cemented my loyalty for life.

On Presidents' Day, our family showed up around 5 pm, not realizing the shop was closed for the holiday. When we couldn't open the door, we started knocking, thinking it was just stuck. Gus, the owner, came out and let us know they were closed for the day, but then asked us what we were looking for. We told him we were hoping to grab a pint, and he told us to wait just a moment. A few minutes later, he came back with a big bag full of different pints and let us walk away with two of them, suggesting we could come back and pay another day when they were actually open (or perhaps he didn't care!). We came back and paid two weeks later.

“I got a “small” chocolate and to say it was huge would be an understatement. Be warned of the giant portions (Although personally, I am not complaining)! Other than the fact that it melted all of over my hands, it was absolutely delicious! Would definitely recommend also trying the one in Bedford as well.“

“This is a nice neighborhood ice cream shop. They have a huge menu. The ice cream we had was really good. The shop itself is fairly bare-bones on the interior, but there’s a decent amount of seating inside and outside. There was no line when we went, but I imagine it is much busier during the school year. Excellent ice cream, but it lacks the accouterments of a a fun New England summer ice cream spot. I wish it had more personality.“

We got the infamous Sho-Gun Matcha/Vanilla Soft Serve Mix With Edible 24K gold , Maiko Special (Parfait) Hojicha/Strawberry Mix Soft Serve and Matcha Latte Float. Everything was so rich in favor. The matcha favor is probably the best that I had so far. You can taste the quality of the soft serve. It's a bit pricy but worth every penny. Definitely, need to try them out“
