Food menu was super tiny on a computer screen, they didn’t have paper menus and had a hard time finding their menu online (that was legible when zooming in to read the small print. Missing the mark on something fundamental.“

“Lazy Bear is the single greatest thing to happen to ice cream. I’ve made a hobby out of enjoying different local ice cream places in my travels and I can say that Lazy Bear is the best ice cream you’ll have. I personally suggest the entire menu!
Additionally, Nana Peach is a national treasure for creating hot fudge that good. Protect her at all costs.“

“I recently checked out Van Leeuwen and it was such a delightful experience! Their homemade ice creams are incredibly creamy, with fun flavors. I got honeycomb and brown sugar cookie dough and it was very yummy. The staff are super friendly and the interior is great for taking pictures, with bright colors and decor. Highly recommended.“

“Since they opened in the early 1980s (could any ice cream be better than Steve's I wondered back then?), they have been hands downs serving the creamiest and tastiest ice cream in the Boston area. My go-to flavors are any of the ones with hazelnut (nocciola & gianduja -- which either they are now calling nutella or they have added yet another hazelnut flavor -- and all of their chocolates, especially Belgian chocolate, the occasional orange-chocolate, and Mexican chocolate). There's nothing like that to be had like these in most of the rest of the local ice cream shops. If only I could get there more often I would branch out more 'cause there are still plenty of enticing flavors I haven't tried yet. It's a pricey treat, especially since I can recall 1980s ice cream prices! But if I want to treat myself, this is the spot. I gave them one star off for service because the folks behind the counter just aren't as cheerful and friendly as a generation ago. A sign or our times perhaps.“

“Always drive by but never stopped. This weekend we finally stopped and it’s was really good! Prices were reasonable and the girls at the window were very friendly! “This is hands down the best pistachio and strawberry ice cream I’ve ever tasted! The flavors are so rich and authentic, with a perfect balance of sweetness that truly brings out the taste of fresh pistachios and ripe strawberries. The cone was incredible – crisp, buttery, and freshly made, making it the ideal complement to the creamy ice cream. Every bite was a delight, and I honestly can’t praise it enough. Without a doubt, this is my favorite ice cream spot in Boston, and I can’t wait to come back!“

“i got richie,s slush for the first time this year, I was so excited!, but then i noticed i think richie's slush changed their recipe for their slush. it just dont taste the same. I dont know if it was do to covid? But I do know it dont taste the same. It tastes more like a sherbet or sorbet. but its definitely not slush. so dispointed! #richie'slush“

“Thank you! I tried your dairy free Black Raspberry Oreo, and it’s a game changer! Finally a dairy free ice cream that has the right consistency and tastes like actual ice cream. I was so excited that I could taste the black raspberry without any hint of almonds/sunbutter/coconut as is always the case at other places. Cal’s Creamery is the best! Megan’s quick thinking helped me execute a perfect ice cream choice, and Lexie provided help for our large ice cream order. Meletharb is an absolute 10/10 and my favorite ice cream in the Commonwealth.“

“I would definitely recommend a visit here. I tried creamy yummy sugar free ice cream that was not icy or taste like chemicals. I also had a great normal sugar but super sweet blackberry ice cream. I wish I has a little more blackberry flavor. I also had a scoop of ginger ice cream which was unfortunately a little icy and the ginger flavor was a touch muted, but still tasty. Staff let me sample each flavor and I got a cute little bowl so I could walk and eat it on the nice hot July4th day. The atmosphere- it is a place you grab and go and it is small, a narrow shop you might miss if driving a bit too fast. They have pints for take out and are willing to make you one in house if they don't have the flavor in the freezer. For about $8 a nice place to stop in. Definitely worth it.“

“This place is great!! The staff is awesome and always soooo kind. Never had a bad experience here and never will. This place is reasonably priced, moves the line quick, and most importantly has THE best Richardson’s ice cream. My favorite is the peanut butter oreo! Not just dog friendly but dog lovers! The girl who took my order loved my dog and even told me that they can have soft serve vanilla! Now me and my dog can get a tasty treat from this amazing shop!“

“They have issues at times keeping their supply thick enough, it's expensive like everything else, and their reliance on teens comes with some of the expected issues (they all seem largely to be great, though.)
Still, we keep coming back regardless because they are just that damn good!
PS: If you grew up so far south that Mexico just feels like another state and Boston actually feels like another country, try their new mango drink.“

“I frequently visit Wally's because of my deep love of ice cream. I typically enjoy the Purple Cow flavor in a sundae. But when Fall hits, my kryptonite is PUMPKIN OREO. Whoever came up with that flavor is a mad scientist/genius. I keep going back for it every few days. I even call Wally's beforehand to make sure they still have it in stock. Haha. Dedication.“
