“We got the ice cream cake from tipping cow for my 5 year olds birthday party. He was beyond excited - even more than the presents themselves - to get to have a "safe ice cream cake." He has an allergy to tree nuts and peanuts. The cake itself was huge, delicious, and you know how at birthday parties parents tend to not eat the cake when it's offered.... that did not happen at our party, parent's were asking for another piece because it was so good.We are so grateful to have this amazing tasting, allergy friendly ice cream store in the community. “A true gem! It used to be located in Somerville near Tufts and was a favorite of college kids and neighborhood families, and has quickly become a Winchester staple. If you're a chocolate fan, the flourless chocolate cookies and cocoa joel ice cream are both to die for. The nutella or oreo stuffed chocolate chip cookies are delicious if you're feeling extravagant. I'm also a fan of the salted caramel and cow trax ice creams. Overall, you can't go wrong! Some pretty solid vegan and gluten free options. It's a cute place with a few tables, and there are various benches nearby in downtown Winchester if the store is full.A tip: you can get just ice cream, a half hoagie (a small ice cream with one cookie), or a whole hoagie (a full sandwich with two cookies). The whole hoagie is fun as a concept but is somewhat impractical to eat and is a lot of food -- I would recommend just getting a half hoagie and using your spoon to scoop ice cream onto the cookie as you eat. That way you get both cookie + ice cream at once without the cookies crumbling and ice cream everywhere.“
“This is maybe the best ice cream I've ever had. I recently moved from another city that didn't have much in the way of ice-cream parlors, and I am thrilled to have JP Licks available. Again, the ice cream itself is amazing: the flavors and texture of it are going to be really hard to top. I highly recommend getting a Sundae; having getting to choose a few different kinds of ice cream, plus toppings, lets you put together something really special. Plus whipped cream and a cherry on top.“
“One of my favorite local ice cream shop with fun and creative flavors.For years, Gracie’s, along with its sister shop Christina’s, has been my go-to spots for ice cream in Somerville. Known for its imaginative and frequently rotating flavors, Gracie's offers a unique experience that stands out from other local ice cream shops.My personal favorites include unique flavors like Honey Corn Bread and Carrot Cake. The Honey Corn Bread, in particular, is perhaps my all-time favorite. It really captures the essence of the actual corn bread in a creamy, frozen form.While I do agree with some of my friends saying that the texture of Gracie’s Ice cream isn’t the best, it still has a solid firmness with just the right level of creaminess. They also offer ice cream pies with Oreo crusts, a decadent option if you’re looking for something different. However, these are stored in low-temp freezers, which slightly affects their texture compared to the regular ice creams.Nevertheless, if you’re looking for an ice cream shop with whimsical flavors after a meal near Union Square, I recommend giving them a try.“

“Believe young guy name was Benjamin he deserves a 5 stars ?. His service superb. The four stars ? was pumpkin ? iced muffin. Muffin was great but the icing was a bit to much and a lot of icing. I wouldn't have put that much on and I have a sweet tooth. A 1 star because the selection of food alike wasn't there the lemon loaf or spice cake slice would been nice and speciality sandwiches and croissants weren't there either. So I chose the pumpkin ? muffin to try a season product. The location is great, yes a but more of a variety would of been nice.“
