Big scoops and wallet friendly, this Quincy institution brings together nostalgia and classic ice cream flavors. The ice cream is pretty standard - no crazy flavors and none of the extra creaminess you get from freshly made ice cream. However, it still hits the spot in a hot day when you want to hit up an old school ice cream stand. They have a few parking spaces in the front but it can be tough to navigate on a busy day.
Truly an institution in Quincy. I’ve been here since I was a kid and they still serve the best soft serve in the South Shore. The unfortunate thing is that they only have teenagers manning it with no adults in sight, so the line moves at a snails pace. They have a horrific manual system of writing down each order instead of a POS system so what should take less than five minutes usually becomes 20 minutes.
