“It’s not always easy to get to Quincy from Boston. Southbound traffic can be a nightmare but if you’re able to make the journey, or you have the fortune of already Quincy, Le Madeline is a special restaurant worth your visit.
One of the first things that you notice about Le Madeline is the location, nestled proudly in a corner of downtown Quincy.
The food is truly exceptional. Not only do they have more traditional Vietnamese favorites (pho, vermicelli noodles and rice) to please the purists, but Chef Peter’s original creation elevates this restaurant to an unbelievable level.
Dishes like the Viet Cajun Noodles, Giant Prawns, and the freshly shucked oysters (Hàu Nướng Mỡ Hành) take you for a ride along not just the origins of where Vietnamese food has come from, but possibly where it’s going in the future.
Seafood is definitely a major priority on the menu here. The Sa Tế Onion Dip with a big fat dollop of caviar and shrimp chips was the perfect crunchy shareable finger food appetizer. And the Vietnamese inspired take on the New England lobster roll with tamarind (Tôm Hùm Rang Me) was out of this world.
A big shout out to every single staff member. The service was genuinely kind and warm offering to explain all of the dishes and made us feel so welcomed.
An inspired, well executed restaurant like this doesn’t come around very often and should not be taken for granted. Go now before they get even busier!
Parking: There a paid parking lot across the street”
“Pleasant atmosphere, great food, upstairs deck for outside dining, social distancing and great services.”

For parents: they have a solid kids menu!
Kid-friendliness: Kids menu :)”

“My nonprofit group enjoyed a private party at Tokenfire. The hot appetizers were a great start to the party, with meatballs, pork dumplings, the best brussel sprouts and savory flatbreads. We enjoyed the authentic Shepherds Pie, perfectly grilled salmon, and a vegetarian pasta dish. Dessert, including a fig bread pudding with salted caramel gelato and tiramisu was fabulous. The service was excellent and the ambiance was delightful. I hope to return when they have live music.”
“Dine at OTH most Fridays since it reopened after renovating from 'Louis' and have yet to have an unsatisfactory experience. Service and Meals are more than great. Try it - you'll love it.”

“Some of the best food my husband and I have ever had! We had an amazing time last night celebrating our friend’s recent engagement. From the ambience to the drinks & food, we had the best night! The server was so sweet and helpful, he helped with entree recommendations! We would absolutely return. 10/10!”
“My fiancé and I have been ordering here for over a year. It is the best pizza in quincy and the surrounding area. (and we’ve tried quite a few pizza spots) Fresh and authentic tasting and the staff are good people. Plus they’re open until 11! I’d recommend 10/10”
“Very small and tucked away; but an absolute gem!! I ate here for the second time today with my mother (a pescatarian) and there were plenty of options for both of us. We personally recommend the fried rice options, but anything is good! Staff were very welcoming and friendly, service was pretty quick. Got a milk tea to go afterwards and it’s a 10/10 as well. Pricing is very fair and portions are large; If ordering a main dish, expect to either share or bring home more than enough for leftovers!!
Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian, vegan, and pescatarian options present on all sections of the menu.”
“This place is sooo yummy!!! I love how the meal has protein, veggies and starch!!! Everything was delicious, the chicken and lamb! My favorite is the lamb and this place makes it very flavorful as well tender.
Must try this place as well as the service is very fast/efficient!
No pictures of food- it all in my happy tummy
Thank you!!!”
“This used to be the best pizza place in town until they started using tasteless fake cheese. Real cheese is supposed to melt and not feel like rubber. I put it in the oven and it boiled and burned. So disappointing and disgusting. Please bring the REAL cheese back.”
“These are the best soup dumplings I’ve ever had and the pan fried dumplings and turnip cakes were also top notch.
This place is a small casual spot with a few tables inside the Kam Man grocery store (when you enter the building, go straight and it will be on your right). Service is lovely. We also bought dumplings to make at home.
Highly recommend!”

“We loved the delicious and beautiful cupcakes and cake for a 50th wedding anniversary celebration. Everyone raved about them especially the surprised couple. Thank you Kristen!”
“Awesome drinks, appetizers, entrees, and service”
“Great variety in fantastic tasting bubble teas and mochinuts!”
“The store was the absolute amazing with the best customer service”
“I would recommend it because the food is good but when I ordered they said a half hour I had to sit outside and wait though. when I got there I had to wait outside almost a half hour because they only let one person in the building at a time. I got there about 45 minutes after ordering they told me five or 10 more minutes it took an additional almost 20 minutes. I sat outside in the freezing cold. I did not receive an apology or anything. This is the first time I have not tipped since Covid began.”

“Finally tried this Thai restaurant, and it exceeded our expectations! It’s been a while since we enjoyed a meal where every dish impressed us.
We dined in, and while we were the only ones there, it's clear that takeout is popular. The space is small but cozy, with enough room to feel comfortable. The service was prompt and attentive. We ordered the scallion pancakes, pad see ew, and khao moo tod. The scallion pancakes were incredibly crispy and came with a delicious sweet sauce. Both the noodles and the pork with rice were packed with flavor. The pork dish, our favorite, featured crispy fried pork over rice, with some sausage, hard-boiled eggs, and a refreshing cucumber side. The sweet sauce enhanced the dish perfectly.
We enjoyed every bite and highly recommend this place. Can’t wait to return!”

“The food at Fuji is outstanding. Far and away the best fusion Japanese food in Newton and around.”
“Pizza crust is amazing! Had mushroom, pepperoni and basil toppings.....couldn't get enough of it! Their chocolate chip cookie is a definite must!”
“I’m a picky one when it comes to eating fish. This little shop right under the Fore River Bridge is the absolute best spot if you want fish so fresh it is obvious that it is the day’s catch! The batter is perfectly light, doesn’t separate from the fish and the result is simply the best fried fish I’ve EVER TASTED! Do yourself a favor and check them out!”
“We all thoroughly enjoyed our Hot Pot Buffet. Great value for high quality ingredients that were very fresh. We tried several choices not typically found at other restaurants. Our fantastic wait staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and highly efficient. We recommend Fairy Cafe and will definitely be back.”
“Had brunch here for the first time with 2 friends today. We sat at the bar, the bartender was super nice, the service was great and the food was delish! I’ll be back for sure.”
“If you want reasonably priced Cantonese-styled rice roll and clay pot rice, this is the place to visit. The restaurant is very small, so be prepared to wait, particularly weekends. Parking may be difficult at times.”
“A must stop if local or touring Boston! Excellent service, atmosphere, and food! Thank You.”

“Soups here are very good and flavorful. The service is quick (implied by the name 10 second delivery) because the prep is done in advance. If you get takeout, expect noodles and most toppings to be packaged separately as trays to one container. Parking can be found on the side road. It's located behind Wollaston station.”
“Can’t talk this place up enough amazing old school authentic Italian and a very warm environment whether your looking for a nice cup of coffee or a chicken parm sangy the workers over here always do it right. Killer Sicilian pizza as well!”
“A must stop if local or touring Boston! Excellent service, atmosphere, and food! Thank You.”
“Extremely friendly service and great-tasting ice cream. I went for the first time yesterday. I think I'm going back today”
“This is me and my boyfriend's to go place for breakfast or brunch. They even alcoholic drinks, and they're not that bad.

“Love the place and food. Became our new casual lunch spot. Just a few tables but we always manage to get one. Love the simplicity in the noodles soup. Nothing fancy like pho or bun bo hue, maybe as a special. Got delish beef stew, pork chop rice, fried egg taro. And of course banh mi.”
“Great time, good price, and the food came out fresh. Highly recommended”
“Got some mini charcuterie boxes, mini chicken pot pies and some deserts to go.Meat and cheese in charcuterie were high quality and the price was so good .Easier and less expensive to try and make your own.Definitely a hidden gem in Quincy.Fab spot to grab items for a dinner party on the go .Owner was super friendly and can customize any size board. Parking is available on street.”
“This place is how I remember home. Some might know me as a breakfast sangwich expert… One sangwich, you all know the rules… this was easily one of, if not the best breakfast sangwich of all time. Served just as ordered, bacon, egg, cheese on grilled English, cooked over easy. Scores 9.5 , must stop “breakfasts” joints on the south shore. Oh and the sweet ladie behind the counter was great, Been a very enjoyable week.”
“Very friendly atmosphere and accommodating to our youngest who is wheelchair bound. Nice little spot with a mom and pop feel to it. Food was very tasteful and service was wonderful! Great tasting coffee and prices are affordable, great little find. :) Will definitely be back if ever in the area again.”
“I've been wanting to try the donuts here for ages. I'm so glad I finally made it in. They're melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Their honey glazed is like a giant crispy Kreme. The donuts are Super fluffy. This also appears to be a great hang spot for coffee and lottery (as seen by the locals).
I still love my Kanes, but this is a nice SS alternative.
Cash only!!”
“My daughter is very picky when it comes to pizza. Every time we go to Walgreens she comments on how good it smells. So we finally tried it tonight! She just commented it's the best pizza ever. We will definitely be back.”
“Come here for the inexpensive home cooked fu zhou cuisine experience! Definitely recommend the mix noodles and all their wontons, fried taro was crispy on the outside and fluffy within. Been coming here before they even had a Google page, cures my homesickness all the time!”
“I recently dined at this restaurant and found the portion sizes to be more than generous, easily enough to satisfy a hungry appetite. I particularly enjoyed the chicken lo mein. The general gau chicken, however, was a bit too oily for my liking, and the egg rolls were rather bland in taste. I'm not entirely familiar with Chinese cuisine, so I'm unsure if that's how they are typically prepared, but it didn't quite suit my palate. On the positive side, the price point is quite affordable, and the restaurant offers decent seating for those looking to dine in. Overall, it's a good option if you're looking for a hearty meal at a reasonable price.
Vegetarian options: Few vegetarian options”
“Everything Bagels and the Spinach and Artichoke Cream cheese is absolutely ridiculous ???Garlic and Herb cream cheese is also very good..Service is always great. Even at the crack of dawn. I also appreciate the questions on the white board recently.”
“Great food, Great people, Huge portions, Great atmosphere, and TAKE OUT! *atm inside”
“Finally a halal Moroccan Pastry, food & sandwich shop on the South shore. Sparkling clean, amazing food, gracious welcoming staff. I couldn’t be happier. I wish you much success in this area. Welcome”
“Had a wonderful lunch with family. Fantastic food, good service and the view is spectacular. Would highly recommend.”
“My fav Korean restaurant in MA! Since it's really hard to find a good Korean restaurant near Boston. I only go to SGD quincy. The servers are very friendly and fast. Attentive to guests. I love every food on the menu, but Korean LA galbi and seafood pancake is another level. Parking space is huge and free. 10/10 restaurant!!! Highly recommended”
“It's my 2nd time coming to this restaurant and i'll be coming back again and again. Highly recommended place with great food, excellent service and wonderful (instagrammable) atmosphere. The 1st time we came, Kai explained how everything works, even explained the level of spiciness of the broths, showed us how he mixes the sauce in their sauce bar. Also, the price is cheaper compared to neighboring hotpot in the area.
Overall we had a very good experience!”

“Been coming here since 16C opened. Love the salads- hubby always gets the steak tips (for those who know-family recipe- passed down from the famous Quiet Man steak tips!) This pizza on $22. Extra chz and well done. *Sausage with cherry peppers and caramelized onions. Staff always excellent. Enza thank you for your wonderful service- we will be back soon!”
“Got the chance to come to Alba in Quincy for the first time tonight for an anniversary dinner. My wife was blown away by the service we received from our server Courtney. We both work in the industry and could not compliment enough how great of a night we had. Bolognese are phenomenal!”
“Best Indian food in the grester Boston area! It's like eating in Punjab, India.”
“Paddy Barry's Quincy is truly a remarkable pub, earning a solid 9 out of 10 rating. Stepping inside feels like being transported back to the lively atmosphere of a pub in Cork City, right by the quay. The energy is infectious, with the sounds of laughter and conversation filling the air. You'll also have the pleasure of encountering craters with incredible stories to share, making every visit an adventure. And let's not forget the talented musician who always graces the pub with their guitar skills, taking the ambiance to new heights. We are incredibly fortunate to have a pub of this caliber in Boston and the surrounding area. And when it comes to the perfect pint, Paddy Barry's Quincy undoubtedly delivers the best in the South Shore”
“The Easter brunch was fantastic! The service was great. They were well organized. There was plenty of delicious food. There were many different food choices. Everything was excellent. Thank you Common Market for a very enjoyable Easter brunch!”

“We found Catering by Terrie while searching for local caterers for our unexpectedly rushed wedding. Most catering companies declined the request as the wedding was planned for less than two months away. Terrie not only agreed to work within the limited schedule, but also adapted some of the dishes from her catering menu to accommodate some of our guests with restrictions. Terrie’s team was punctual, polite, and professional. The food was fantastic, and by the end of the evening all the guests were well-fed. Many compliments were received on the charcuterie board, curry noodle bowls, coconut shrimp, chicken parmesan sliders, and many others. Set-up and take-down also went without a hitch. With all of the headache and stress that went into a wedding planned on such short notice, Terrie and her team graciously handled one of the biggest aspects, and helped to make the day as perfect as we could have hoped.”
“Went with the classic burger with Mac salad. Phenomenal! Can’t wait to have it again sometime”
“Food was delicious. Portions were small. Prices were somewhat high for the small amount of food you get. Service was fine. Overall, not a bad place for a light lunch. But if you are looking for a belly-filling meal, be prepared to go home hungry or spend a lot and order several extra dishes.”

The tres leches cake is so milky and smooth. Flan has the perfect texture and caramel flavor. Staff super friendly and helpful with recommendations. Will definitely be back.”
