“Pretty good - albeit limited range of desserts and some drinks. Worth one try for sure if you like coconut
We have a few different desserts and all were a decent std - although the mango itself (pictured) did not taste that great - the coconut base was good.“

“I love this place. My family can't get enough. Do yourself a favor and if you want to try something different (desert wise), swing by Mango Mango! The entire menu is delicious. If their shaved ice cream is available (seasonal item) order it! Thank me later. Enjoy!“

“The owner was one of the nicest people I have ever met. The customer service was so good and the food was so delicious. They also had a free Pac-Man machine that was very fun and made the wait time seem like there was no wait time. Highly Recommend!!“

“Kyo Matcha is a newly opened Matcha and other flavor dessert spot located near the HMart of Brookline.
I came here during the grand opening and other subsequent times, and the lines were out the door. There is outdoor seating, but it felt a little congested with how the line moved. Inside there is a few photo op areas but it's mainly indoor seating.
The service was fast and efficient, and the food came out quickly. The staff were understanding to any allergies and were accommodating with replacements on the menu.
The food was of decent quality, but could've been better. I tried the Matcha Crepe Layer Cake, the Brown Sugar Boba Milk Cap Cake, and Parfait with Matcha Ice Cream.
The Matcha Crepe Layer Cake was really good, very light and fluffy with a soft texture. The Brown Sugar Milk Cap cake was a little on the heavier side, with the sweetness of the boba being a bit overwhelming for me, but still enjoyable.
I really enjoyed the Matcha Parfait, however I saw in photos that there should be two layers of ice cream, one on the bottom and one on top. When I received mine, there was barely any on the bottom, instead it was packed with the toppings. This didn't really bother me but it did make it only toppings once I finished the layer of Matcha ice cream on top.
The prices here are a bit on the expensive side for desserts, but comparable to other matcha dessert places.“

“They revised the menu and changed the way they baked the cookies. Pretty solid cookies. More than the cookies though, I appreciate the way the place is being managed. The store manager, Isaiah, was great. He listened to some the issues I experienced in the past at another store, and told me all about how they changed to make things better. Give them a try. I tried the s’more’s and the Oreo. I recommend the s’more’s.“

“cookie was really good! i went in with my friend because we saw no customers so we went ahead and tried the red velvet cookie!!! was really good and pricing was 5.89 for a big cookie, much better than crumble because their portions are smaller. would definitely come back here with my friend again!! 10/10 service btw they know the good cookie recommendations:)“

“I made a custom order for my anniversary with my wife. Lavender honey is flavorful and yet not too sweet. Tamy is friendly and makes the ordering process so easy!“
“Crumbl is definitely worth trying atleast once! The cookies are soft, and super indulgent with fun rotating flavors every week. I love how creative their menu is and how fresh everything tastes! A little too sweet - but worth the hype❤“

“love visiting the Jamaica Plain store! Since the weather has been getting warmer, I've gone a few times this month and have to say the staff is amazing. They are very warm, friendly, patient, and have great insight on all the flavors and products. Because of them I found my favorite Fomu flavor. It was Rose Lavender but I was introduced to Lemon Meringue, tart lemon ice cream (coconut base), with graham cracker crust and yummy vegan marshmallow! It was so tasty I went back a second (and third) time to buy a point. Don't miss this flavor and the wonderful staff (surprisingly calm and chill even under pandemic pressure). Can't wait to see what next month's flavors are!“

“I don't usually write reviews but I've been living in Dorchester for the last five years and Cocoleaf is a standout establishment to me. There are few mid-range food businesses in Boston where you feel like you're actually getting your money's worth it and not just subsidizing the very-high-cost-of-living in this city. Cocoleaf/Akoko Cafe is one of those places. I've had dessert, drink and food items from across their menu and every time I've been blown away by how unexpectedly fresh, unique and delicious the flavors are. The portions are generous and fair for the price. I don't think I've ever had something subpar from here, and if they do mix up my order, the staff are quick to correct and replace it. This place is a hidden gem for anyone who doesn't live in the neighborhood. I will never stop patronizing this establishment for as long as they keep doing what they are doing.“

“My boyfriend got the milk tea mochi ice cream and I got the black sesame mochi! I loveee black sesame anything but tbh it tasted like mashed potatoes, thought I was crazy but my boyfriend agreed lmaooo.his was super good tho. Quality of the ice cream and mochi were good, but the price is a little steep for how small they are, definitely worth a try tho!“

“Excellent service! I highly recommend Le Macaron Boston. Their pastries are not only delicious but are served in a very clean and welcoming environment. A must go to!“
“Jelissa is AMAZING!! I cannot recommend enough. She came to teach a cake decorating class for a bridal shower and everyone had so much fun. She was so responsive, kind and made sure everyone was having a great time. 100% will be using again“
“We had a great time here on Sunday! The service was nice and quick, and the menus were thorough. My only complaint about the food is that the shaved ice was super icy, as in the ice was still in huge pieces, barely shaved. Other than that, the boba and mango tasted fresh, the prices were very reasonable, and I enjoyed it overall.“
“A hidden gem for creative latte & matcha drinks. I initially stumbled upon it to get a few macarons, and I ended up coming back here frequently for lattes. The fancier lattes (eg dubai chocolate latte, lavender cream) usually takes a while to come out (because they are made fresh & usually have multiple layers / ingredients) and it could feel intimidating to wait, but every time the latte comes out very nicely both in terms of presentation and taste. Also very customizable (you can just tell the staff to adjust syrup amounts or replace one flavor with something else, etc).“

“Wanted to go where the line was not that long, this was the location to be. I understand the experience of going to the North End location with it being the original one but why wait in line ,when we had a Mike's Pastry close to our hotel in Assembly Row, so after watching a movie and some shopping we headed to this place ready for our sugar rush. This location had chairs and tables where you can actually sit and have a conversation, we ordered the recommended cannolis by the staff who was very patient with our questions, we did not feel rushed at all. Everything that we ordered was so good. The place was clean, and the restroom was notably clean as well. We got cannolis in the famous Mike's Pastry box to take back on our flight home. If you want to have a relaxed experience and close to where you are staying then this is the location to be.“

“It was really cute shop and I liked the ice cream. I walked down to the Kennedy Greenway and took in the skyline views with it. Great night!
I took off one star cause the ice cream is close to being perfect, but not quite. The cookie dough ice cream just simply didn’t have enough cookie dough bites in it. We all know those are the best part so what are we skimping for!
The cake batter ice cream had too many sprinkles for my taste. It’s already a very sweet flavor so it would be nice to have the option to add sprinkles instead.
On the other hand, the fruit and sorbet style flavors were perfection!
Last point, the employees all seemed like they hated their lives here. I respect that ofc cause I’ve worked many jobs that I hate, but it gave me the sense something could be done behind the scenes to make it a better work environment.
I don’t mean to sound too harsh cause clearly this place is great! But that’s my two cents, keep going!“

“I’m a huge bubble tea drinker and I love to try all different kinds of places. Let me tell you, Sweet Sip did not disappoint. While there I tried three drinks: the Assam black tea with honey boba, the rose milk tea (no topping), and the Vietnamese iced coffee. All three were delicious. The Assam was a great milk tea for anyone who likes it simple and nostalgic. Nice and sweet, but not too sweet. The rose milk tea was fragrant and delicious as well. In terms of the boba, they use honey boba, which is a nice choice; this gives them a good taste, which adds nicely to the teas. The Vietnamese iced coffee was also a nice surprise. If you’ve ever had the real deal form a Vietnamese restaurant, then you would know that the coffee flavor can be strong and extra bitter. For someone who loves coffee, but is a wimp with the bitterness, this iced coffee was just the right balance. It gets even better as your ice melts. Lastly. I tried some of their Hong Kong cakes, specifically the pandan flavored cake, and the mochi filling. It was heavenly… Crisp, sweet, and flavorful. I look forward to trying the other flavors. I don’t go to Boston too often, but I would definitely come back to try more drinks at Sweet Sip the next time I’m visiting.“

“My go to spot in Allston for tofu pudding, grass jelly, bingsu, and drinks! This place is always busy, and the desserts and drinks are consistently yummy. My favorite order is their signature grass jelly, super refreshing, especially on a hot day. The staff are always nice, too.
It does get extremely crowded toward the evening, and when packed, the place can have an unpleasant smell. I’d recommend ordering to go if possible, just not the bingsu since it’s best enjoyed fresh in store.“

“Insomnia Cookies is my go-to spot whenever I’m craving something sweet late at night. The cookies are usually warm, soft in the middle, and super satisfying — especially the classics like Chocolate Chunk and Snickerdoodle. When they’re fresh out of the oven, they really hit the spot.
That said, the experience can be a little inconsistent. During busy hours, wait times get long, and delivery can sometimes show up colder than expected. Prices are on the higher side as well, especially if you’re ordering multiple items or adding ice cream.
Overall, though, it’s a fun late-night treat with a great variety of flavors, and the convenience is hard to beat. When they’re warm and fresh, they’re absolutely worth it.“

“There was a miscommunication about the bakery's hours, and I genuinely thought we were going to be without our Easter order. But Emily, the manager, and her father John, the owner, did something I truly didn't expect — they made it work anyway. They went out of their way to make sure we still got everything we needed, and on Easter Sunday of all days. That kind of customer care is rare. It would have been so easy for them to simply say "sorry, we're closed" — but instead they showed up for us in a way we won't forget. And the food? Absolutely delicious. Our pies were fresh and perfectly made, and the carrot birthday cake — a special request from the birthday boy himself — was absolutely stunning. Everything tasted like it was baked with real love and care, and it made our Easter celebration (and birthday!) that much more special. If you're looking for a bakery that not only delivers incredible baked goods but also treats their customers like family, look no further. Emily and John, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We are customers for life!“
