About Meet Fresh

Meet Fresh is a popular spot in Allston and the only Meet Fresh in Massachusetts, serving hot and cold Taiwanese desserts. The place is always busy, especially toward the evening when it can get extremely crowded and have an unpleasant smell, so ordering to go is recommended, though the bingsu is best enjoyed fresh in store. The desserts and drinks are consistently yummy and not too sweet. Signature items include the grass jelly, which is super refreshing, and the Q Machi Milk Shaved Ice, which is great to share. The grass jelly soup with taro is perfect on a cold day—sweet, herbal, and authentic—while the boba tofu is excellent, chewy and not too sweet. The pudding is delicious, so soft it melts in your mouth, and the mochi dessert is mouthwatering. Prices are reasonable if split; one portion costs $19.26 and can be shared by 5 people. The location has ample seating, is clean and comfortable, and the staff are friendly and nice, though service can be slow as they seem understaffed. Highly recommend for a comforting treat.

Meet Fresh is a Taiwanese dessert shop located right in the heart of Packard's Corner, serving a wide range of cold or hot desserts.

The staff interaction was very minimal as they were focused on making the dishes, doesn't really bother me as this was my first time coming and I needed time to look through the menu. The odor of the place was also a bit odd, smelled like bad body odor when we walked in, though it could've been from a person so I won't judge.

I really enjoyed my dessert here. I think it makes more sense to go with a group and share, because the items are large and $$.. Everything I saw was a fair price for the size. I had a taro ice bowl. I didn't love the shave ice first try, but i froze it and ate it later and it held up. I thought it could have been a bit sweeter, but im also american and I know I probably like things sweeter than most. Service wasn't super fast, but not crazy slow.

My go to spot in Allston for tofu pudding, grass jelly, bingsu, and drinks! This place is always busy, and the desserts and drinks are consistently yummy. My favorite order is their signature grass jelly, super refreshing, especially on a hot day. The staff are always nice, too.
It does get extremely crowded toward the evening, and when packed, the place can have an unpleasant smell. I’d recommend ordering to go if possible, just not the bingsu since it’s best enjoyed fresh...read full review
