“Went for my first time the other night. My friend and I Had the spiked mango lassi with boba, hibiscus House soda, red oil dumplings, pork belly buns, and not pictured were two bowls of pho. Overall loved the experience. Server was new but did a great job. Service was quick and timely. They kept our water cups topped off the whole time which was appreciated. I want to try the ramen next so I'll add the fifth star when I come back again!“
“One of my new go-to spots for Asian-inspired healthy bowls.I first found out about Lotus Test Kitchen last year while looking for a lunch spot in Downtown. Since then, I’ve been getting bowls from here at least once a month. They seamlessly meld Asian flavors into healthy bowls without a lot of compromises. My favorite bowl is their signature Braised Pork Belly Bowl, which features three substantial chunks of tender pork belly. It also comes with cabbage slaw, and pickled daikons and carrots that helps tone down the greasiness with their tangy, refreshing crunch. And then there's the Spicy Gochujang sauce, an optional but highly recommended addition that weaves sweetness and a subtle kick to the bowl. While certain dishes, like the Thai Curry Chicken and the Spicy BBQ Korean Pork Belly bowl, occasionally come with meat that errs on the drier side, their sauce and pickled vegetable toppings help elevate the central ingredients.Overall, a great lunch spot that offers a quick, filling, and delicious bowls. If you’re looking for something healthy outside of your usual salad bowls, I highly recommend giving them a try.“
“this is the most amazing banh mi i've ever had !! I'm on a little holiday in boston from london and I've recently fallen in love with banh mi. this has taken the top spot though - the baguette had that perfect crunch and it was overflowing with the filling. such a reasonable price and the service was so fast and lovely :) highly recommend the lemongrass pork !“
“Finally, got to try This place. They had soft Opening which was not to best. The ordering process was pretty smooth . The wait was not to long. We got the infamous Sho-Gun Matcha/Vanilla Soft Serve Mix With Edible 24K gold , Maiko Special (Parfait) Hojicha/Strawberry Mix Soft Serve and Matcha Latte Float. Everything was so rich in favor. The matcha favor is probably the best that I had so far. You can taste the quality of the soft serve. It's a bit pricy but worth every penny. Definitely, need to try them out“
“We stopped in on a Saturday late afternoon and there was plenty of seating available. The space was bigger than expected with booth seats and table seating. We were seated at a booth and it was quite comfortable. We ordered the Beef hot soup and the Sichuan Flavor Hot Soup. No substitutions allowed but we chose to omit a couple ingredients. The medium spicy is quite spicy so I would recommend going milder and using the chili dipping sauce on the side. Both broths were flavorful enough that you don't necessarily need the soy garlic sauce provided. I immediately turned off the flame under the hot pot because I didn't want the beef to overcook. I do wish there was an option to turn it back on without having to call someone over to light it again. Lunch meals come with a choice of iced green tea or black tea and choice of white rice or vermicelli. Tea was already sweetened, might've been a tad sweet for my liking though. Wait staff was efficient and friendly. There is a call bell on the table that alerts staff that you need something, otherwise they are not really checking up on you. Overall a solid satisfying lunch!“
“Loved this cute little cafe! They serve hot drinks, bubble tea, and desserts. Thai iced tea with brown sugar pearls was delicious! We also had the mango eclair and tiramisu, which were just the right size and sweetness. Decor and atmosphere were beautiful and classy. Window bar seating and some small tables as well. Staff were very friendly and completed our orders pretty quickly.“
“All of the drinks here are fantastic. The halo-halo was a little too sweet, but I think you can ask for less sugar. I had a mushroom sandwich which was so full of flavor. I will definitely return to try more items. The cafe is also nice for reading. I brought my laptop and was able to do some work.“
“Service was very nice… Atmosphere was quite chill afternoon. I got the Beef Hot Pot very good anything I didn’t want in there the server stated I can take it out was a good for me… The soybean chilli sauce I put that on every bite soo delicious! And the Passion fruit green tea wasn’t bad I’d like it a bit sweeter but very good place to try out“
“Fantastic fried chicken at an affordable price. Casual and quick. Perfect for lunch or takeout. I’ve been looking for a fried chicken spot that knows how to make a crispy wing ever since another one of my Chinatown favorites closes down. This place is fantastic. While the “spicy” fried chicken is not particularly spicy, it has a pleasant flavor. They also aren’t cheap on serving sizes. These are true full chicken wings, not cut in half. The serving of 8 wings is definitely enough for one adult. If you order to-go, the take out bags are surprisingly high-quality as well. They will not rip, and certainly warrant a re-use. Service is friendly and I have nothing bad to say about this place.Photos represent food after I had already eaten some, so serving size is slightly larger than what you see.“
“If you're looking for a cute little spot to sit down and relax with a cup of milk tea, look no further! The interior of this little Newbury St. brownstone looks almost like a coffee shop, with some cute decor and a few tables and chairs for hanging out in. The prices here aren't too bad compared to other nearby spots - most milk teas here are around $5 (not including boba). I ordered their taro milk tea with boba here, which was delicious and exactly what I'm looking for in a drink. It had the perfect amount of sweetness (after I asked them for 50% sweetness) and not an overwhelming amount of ice. I really enjoy my experience every time I visit Mr. Tea and will definitely be back!“
“I was searching for a good Boba tea nearby and stumbled upon this store. Wow, it was an amazing place with the best Brown Sugar Bubble Tea It's the most recommended and popular item at this place, and I'm sure all the rest will be good to try. The staff was so helpful and the best. Definitely a recommended place, best value for money!!“
“Great drinks, oreo slushy was a bit watered down but otherwise really good. Sad that there wasn't anymore gingerbread men left but I guess it's not their fault there's a limited stock. Would recommend.Wheelchair accessibility: Stairs to enter store, not suitable for wheelchair users and people with strollers.“
“A decent refreshing stopover for boba drinks and light snacks.Amidst numerous boba options in Chinatown, Pin Ming might not top the charts. Nevertheless, I came here a couple times to try their drinks and food. Their regular boba toppings were mediocre as it lacked chewiness. On the other hand, the strawberry pearls stood out – these little sphere added an unexpected fruity sweetness that elevated some of their drinks.I also got to try some of their food, Popcorn Chicken and Fried Shrimp. Over-seasoned and quite salty, Popcorn chicken was a bit of a letdown. But the shrimp was a surprisingly good deal. Its batter was basic but perfectly crispy, and the shrimp was moist and creamy. In Chinatown’s boba scene, Pin Ming might be at the lower end of the spectrum, but if you’re in a mood for some good snacks and decent drinks, Ping Ming might be a good choice.“
“I have always had good experiences here until tonight. I came in and ordered my bubble tea and sat down to wait. 20 minutes went by and I asked when my drink would be ready and they didn’t know I had ordered, despite that I did in fact order with them. They apologized and refunded me and made my tea. After I left I realized there was no boba in the tea. I was the only one in the shop for the entire 30 minute trip. I will continue to go back here because the bubble tea is so amazing, but tonight was a disappointing and strange experience.“
“Quaint spot in Allston with limited seating. There are self-service kiosks if you don't enjoy interacting with other people like I do.They do take online orders though, so keep that in mind if you're feeling impatient.Took off one star because like another reviewer mentioned, the kiosk defaults to a 5% tip. You have to manually select the custom option and type in 0 if you don't want to tip.I do love their taro and pudding milk tea though so I'll most definitely be back.“
“This shop is always lively. It's busy but the service run smoothly. I always grab the dragonfly. It's milke tea, Redbean, Grass jelly and pearls. It's like $5 a drink. There alot of table games to kill time too. Definitely, worth a try“
“We were welcomed in and they made excellent suggestions me and my son home from college. Also I left my wallet behind ( never happened to me in 56years) They had it for me with a smile and over $400 cash. Left a nice tip and I thanked them , I told the I would leave a review. Genuinely nice people work hereThe coffee drinks were amazing. Go there it's right behind Pho Hoa same bldg very nice space .“
“This was stop 1 on a mini food crawl of the area. So many good choices, but this olace stuck out for good Taiwanese food. The Dan Bing was great. It was fluffy egg and dense pancake served piping hot with a sauce to dip or pour over. The spicy wontons were fantastic as well. They had a light spice and thin texture but fell apart quick.I would love to come back for some Taiwanese sausage and a pork cutlet.Parking: Parking was limited.“
“I have tried a few things here. My favorite so far is the Passion Fruit Green Tea with Boba and Basil Seeds. I get it with light ice and regular sugar. My daughter could LIVE on their strawberry milk tea with boba. They also have a delicious Chocolate Bubble Waffle. The people that work there seem very nice. We were trying to push my sister inside (she was in a wheelchair) and the people will come and hold the door open for you. They have a reward program too. My daughter LOVES that.“
“Quick service, delicious drinks, paired with a cute market. I got the peach oolong TJ and my wife had the Four Seasons milk tea. Both were very good and I enjoyed the crystal boba and tea jelly toppings. Would recommend, even though there are a few stairs to walk up which is not stroller friendly.“
“I love the ambiance and layout of the store. Upon entering, I was impressed by its cleanliness and the inviting music playing in the background. Using the kiosk to place my order was a breeze; it was both effortless and enjoyable to select my drink preferences. The service was exceptionally swift, and the staff members were incredibly friendly. Moreover, the drink I received tasted absolutely delightful. Whenever I find myself in the area, Super Emoji is undoubtedly my top choice for a refreshing beverage.“
“Having had my first Yi Fang experience in Taipei, I had high hopes when it came to Boston. I might be biased, but of all the tea shops in the city, Yi Fang ranks the highest when it comes to fruit tea. Every drink I've ordered from here is refreshing and never too sweet. The space is bright and has a modern, yet comfortable vibe. I've been on a crowded winter day when the store felt too warm and stuffy, but today when I came on a random Friday around noon, it was completely empty. There's a little more seating down the hall, as well as a bathroom.Their drinks are a little expensive, but always enjoyable. Today I tried the Peach Black Tea with green tea jelly and 50% sugar. I also really enjoy their egg waffles as an extra little treat.I usually try to avoid coming to Newbury, but getting tea from Yi Fang makes it all worth it.“
“I usually go to Cocoleaf in Dorchester, but this is closer to where I was that day. The staff were all nice and helpful, the Che were all very sweet for my tastes and the fruits were all canned fruits. I love their drink menu, but I think I still prefer the Dorchester location.“
“Ok, this is technically in a Chinatown basement like location (i wouldn't exactly stay here to drink my order)...but the bubble tea here is amazing and unparalleled, especially the ice cream and tea mixtures (my fave is the regular milk tea mixed with green tea matcha ice cream). I can't go to another bubble tea place and not think of how subpar the drinks are compared to here lol. FAVEEEEEEE.“
“We came across this quaint, stylish restaurant when seeking wonderful Japanese food with a hint of Asian flavor.Their curry beef and beef teriyaki are excellent. But the seafood noodle shocked us the most. It tasted great! Additionally, their boba tea made a fantastic aperitif.I am eager to return.“
“Happy Lemon made me very happy during my jury service. This location is in the Corner Mall food court which for me was a pro as the location was convenient. My go to order was the mango slushy with boba. My slushy was blended with lemon pulp which was tart initially but complemented the sweetness of the drink. The boba was really good majority of the time. There's only one size but it is really tall and filling. I definitely recommend if you are in the area.“
“Love the variety of teas here - there is something for everyone! I brought two friends who had never had boba before and they were nervous they wouldn't like it, but they were able to find something they loved. Very quick service as well, definitely one of my favorite places for boba in the area“
“The food here is consistently amazing, making it my go-to spot for lunch during my break. The service is prompt, and the ambiance adds to the pleasant experience. However, it's worth noting that it's not conducive to sit-down dining as there are no tables inside. It's more of a grab-and-go setup, but there are plenty of nearby spots or office spaces to enjoy your meal if you're in the Chinatown area! I recommend getting their chicken sandwich it's amazing!“
“i'm taiwanese and have always loved getting boba so I have pretty high expectations! still, the mango slush did not disappoint. you can't add brown sugar boba to some of the drinks so I opted for the "blue pearls" (seem to taste the same but maybe more firm? or less sweet) which you can add for an extra dollar. there were good chunks of mango and a good ratio of boba to the drink! (see picture for size difference) will definitely revisit if i'm in the area but kinda pricey (paid 8 for large) as a student so i wish there was a student discount.“
“They were severely understaffed on a saturday night. There was only two people working behind the counter. The line was so long and super unorganized. They need a better shop design, you should not have the cashier right next to the door. I got the #8 special signature rice dessert. It was unfortunately served cold but still good“
“There are a lot of bubble tea places around here. They all are great quality, I don't think I've ever gone to one here and thought it was not good. The thing that appeals to me here is that there is almost no wait and the staff is very fast. Generally if you see a bubble tea place crowded in this area, just walk a bit and go to the next one. They are all great.“
“I got the baby peach smoothie drink with crystal boba. I thought the sugar level was pretty good, if not a little high. I was a little taken aback by the price, the drink with crystal boba cost $9 total. They were also sold out of almost every croissant and every box cake when I went. However, in their defense, the peach taste of the drink was very fresh and not overpowering. But with all the other boba shops in the area, zero& definitely stands out as having very unique flavors. I hope to try their cakes and croissants next time!“
“The place was busy. Staff made sure everything went smooth. I got the original brown sugar boba, pudding, and chocolate malt ones. They were all delicious. It's pricy but worth it. Also got the popcorn and ice cream for free. Definitely will be back“
“the gong cha in chinatown is always my go to. their milk tea is the best, and tastes pretty authentic. there's a couple of series, including the slush series, creative series and coffee series. the lychee oolong tea is also super good. sugar and ice levels can be adjusted. customer service is always good. sometimes the wait times can be quite a while, especially at night. they also charge $0.25 for bags. overall rating: 10/10“
“So the line was less crazy a week later. The staff was helpful and nice. The drinks came out fast. We got the Black sugar boba with Pearls and 3 other drinks with different selection in toppings. They were the Chocolate Malt Milk, Coffee latte, & pudding milk. All came with Cream mousse. These taste exactly how I remember when I got it in nyc. The price is reasonable for the quality that you're getting. The drinks have a good balance of favors . No favors over powering the other. Highly recommend to anyone“
“I come here all the time and boba never disappoints. I’ve tried many others in Boston but this consistently has the best quality and best price. The woman who works here in the evenings is wonderful and takes her time to craft drinks that are perfect. Try the thai iced lime green tea!“
“Food: I got the taro milk tea, and my friends got the grapefruit & peach green tea with jelly. The size and price is on par with other boba places in Boston. I really liked the taro chunks in my drink and would get this again.Service: There is a self-service kiosk machine for ordering. The drinks came out fast, but it also was not busy when I went.Ambiance: The place is spacious, with tables along the walls. The decor is a bit lacking.“
“This oriental vegetarian spot offers a wide range of dishes on their menu, all nicely presented and tasty. Just a heads-up, despite any mention of meat, it's all veggie here. Prices are competitive and the servings here are generous. Lo Mein is a must-try. They take credit cards too.The downside? It can get crowded, and the water glasses might need a bit more cleaning. Keep in mind, it's upstairs if stairs are an issue.“
“This place is an absolute vibe. They have the best Milk Tea/Boba I have ever had, and their mochi waffles are delicious. Strawberry Cheesecake waffle and Coconut Brown Sugar Boba is my favorite! I first visited about a year after COVID when it was counter service only and you couldn't sit down. I immediately fell in love and now I stop in whenever I can. Now that it's open again it's even better. The staff is amazing, so friendly and they will remember you by name! It makes me so happy to see this place continue to thrive and grow.Oh, and they're also car people. So from one fellow gearhead to another, cheers! A must try place in Boston if you love Boba or dessert ❤️“
