First off: the flavors are amazing. They are both well thought of combinations and absolutely high quality products. This is artisan level ice cream. It is very dense and rich. It kind of reminds me of Italian gelato in a way. I loved the cones as well. You can order a 1, 2, or 3 scoop in a cone or cup. Or cone kind of looking thing in a cup.

The staff here was super nice and friendly. Thank you for your professionalism! I love the atmosphere of the store and it was very modern, clean, and intriguing. I wanted a cone as soon as I walked in.

Price wise, be prepared for expensive ice cream. In my opinion it was worth the purchase for how exceptionally better it was than the vast majority of places I’ve tried around town.

“After watching a movie at the nearby AMC, I came here with the cool autumn breeze. The storefront was under renovation, but it was still open. The decor suggested a rather old-fashioned ice cream shop.

Taro: A bit of a surprise. For an American/Italian ice cream shop, the most highly rated flavor online was taro, but after one bite, I felt it truly deserved its reputation. The ice cream was smooth and delicate, with a naturally rich taro flavor, and not too sweet.

Matcha: A very standard matcha flavor from an American ice cream shop. Not too sweet, the matcha flavor was pure, but nothing particularly special. A safe choice for Chinese palates.

Coconut Thai Tea: First time trying this, and quite an interesting flavor. The sweetness of coconut milk is the top note, followed by the bitter aroma of Thai milk tea.

Bourbon Maple Pecan: The initial taste was the sweetness of maple syrup, followed by the nutty and slightly salty aroma of pecans. It's quite good, but a little on the sweet side.“

“What I love about Van Leeuwen is that it's the only Ice Cream store that's open late. After dinner in the Seaport with 3 friends we decided to go get Ice Cream. It was 10pm and Van was the only late night Ice Cream store in the Seaport. That was very helpful and we all order a triple scoop. It's also the best tasting ice cream in the neighborhood.“

They are very warm, friendly, patient, and have great insight on all the flavors and products. Because of them I found my favorite Fomu flavor. It was Rose Lavender but I was introduced to Lemon Meringue, tart lemon ice cream (coconut base), with graham cracker crust and yummy vegan marshmallow! It was so tasty I went back a second (and third) time to buy a point. Don't miss this flavor and the wonderful staff (surprisingly calm and chill even under pandemic pressure). And JP Licks was the only place that made me smile when I was happy, sad , mad or even upset. Because it was a new place and they had so many offerings I asked Nico what he would recommend. Nico asked me about allergies and if there was anything I wouldn’t eat. I responded no and he then recommended the California a (chicken, bacon, tomato, lettuce and mayo). My sandwich was great and I will return to try something new Great service, clean and great prices! “Finally, got to try This place. They had soft Opening which was not to best. The ordering process was pretty smooth . The wait was not to long. We got the infamous Sho-Gun Matcha/Vanilla Soft Serve Mix With Edible 24K gold , Maiko Special (Parfait) Hojicha/Strawberry Mix Soft Serve and Matcha Latte Float. Everything was so rich in favor. The matcha favor is probably the best that I had so far. You can taste the quality of the soft serve. It's a bit pricy but worth every penny. Definitely, need to try them out“

“When you enter it’s a very nice vibe with good music, clean environment, window seating and a warm greeting. Healthy food menu options. I Placed an order for two chicken patties, as well as a milk shake. The restaurant also offer other patties like fish, and so on. Note often times if you want a certain quantity of patties you may want to call ahead to place an order as these patties are made there so they may not have what you’re looking for if you do not place an order in advance, or they may have a small quantity less than you would have wanted. The patties happen to be my fav, they are so tasty and pleasing to the eye, however there is a wider variety of food options. The milkshake I ordered was cookie dough and it was beautiful, and tasty, perfect consistency not too thick, not too sweet, just perfect. I think the prices are great for today’s economy or market. I will definitely return. Thank you for your service.“

“We got ice cream and pizza after visiting the Boston Children’s Museum today (only a few steps away) and it was the perfect treat before heading to the nearby playgrounds!

The Children’s museum even had some free water play event going on! This was the best long layover ever!“

“Really enjoyed Mizu! Love that they let you choose the matcha intensity, we went with Level 3, which was rich and creamy with plenty of matcha flavor without getting too grassy. The mochi was a great addition.

The Matcha Coco Float was perfect for a hot, humid day, cold, creamy, and refreshing. Hojicha was also surprisingly tasty. Definitely a spot I’d come back to for another matcha fix!“

“After visiting museum of illusions with my dad and 2 year old son, was thinking of buying a treat or dinner. Passed by this place and we grabbed an ice cream each. My son knocked the ice cream on the floor and the girl who worked there grabbed us a new one. Great customer service with a 2 or three tables to sit at. The store you can find many authentic peruvian snacks, cooking ingredients, etc. Such as seasoning, pastries, baked goods, tea, meat, ice cream. Also, they bring and do what you ask for any occasion you need. For example they bring paneton for Christmas in dozen, also they make dessert for parties such as empanadas, pastries, flan, alfajor, etc. You can go with your family or friends and sit outside to enjoy sweet. It's a great place to enjoy dessert together and try something new. For these reasons, Frio Rico is an excellent place to enjoy authentic Peruvian food and dessert. If you want to experience the flavor of Peru, I recommend visiting this store.“
