“The ice cream is fabulous AND they have vegan options too. Everything is homemade, including the baked goods. There is also a small section for a variety of candy. The owner and staff are super nice. Service is outstanding. I highly recommend- this as a must try if you visit the north end.“
“Finally, got to try This place. They had soft Opening which was not to best. The ordering process was pretty smooth . The wait was not to long. We got the infamous Sho-Gun Matcha/Vanilla Soft Serve Mix With Edible 24K gold , Maiko Special (Parfait) Hojicha/Strawberry Mix Soft Serve and Matcha Latte Float. Everything was so rich in favor. The matcha favor is probably the best that I had so far. You can taste the quality of the soft serve. It's a bit pricy but worth every penny. Definitely, need to try them out“
“Amazing Vegan Ice cream. I have a dairy allergy and I’ve tried a lot of different vegan desserts. These taste exactly like the regular desserts. I had the grasshopper pie with hot fudge and it was amazing. You can even buy toppings for at home use - I bought a jar of hot fudge! Also I love the take a drawing/poem and leave one. I want to do it next time! Would love to see a vegan ice cream flight! Or little ice cream sandwiches.“

It moves fast.However, be ready to order when you get to the counter as they try to keep things moving.There is no seating.They only take cash. There are ATMs nearby if you don't have any. “Stopped by this quaint little coffee shop the morning I was leaving Boston. It had a nice vibe to it. And such a variety! Ice cream. Pastries that looked amazing. Expensive variety of different copies espresso‘s ect. The music was and atmosphere made you feel like you were in Italy. Nice little outside area to sit and enjoy the beautiful street going ons. Will go back to try again to try more of their wares.“

“Living in the same neighborhood as Blackbird calls for monthly visits to try out their seasonal flavors. I personally prefer the texture of their brioche doughnuts over their cake doughnuts, but their excellent and inventive flavors always win me over. My favorites over the years have been the Tiramisu Bismarck, Cold Brew Coconut, and Snow Ball.This location doesn't have seating, except for a bench outside. I usually come on weekday mornings to avoid the weekend lines and to make sure flavors don't sell out.Their service is also excellent. I had an issue with an order on the mobile app, filled out the contact form via their website, and someone reached out to resolve the issue quickly!“
“The first time I tried Taiyaki NYC was in NY, of course, but the quality for the Boston location is the same. Very picturesque desserts that will satisfy a sweet craving. I got the unicorn and matcha sesame, which were both tasty. They taste especially good when the taiyaki cone is fresh and warm, but be sure to eat it quick in the summer if you want to avoid a sticky mess!“

I will mention that it was quite cold outside at the time and there was no seating available, but we were picking it up and taking it with us so it was not personally a thing that we were looking for.Over several days I tried their:Maple Braids - 5/5 right mixture of soft and chewy. Great texture great flavor.Boston Creme - 4/5 Good balance of sweet and tart, also fantastic texture.Old Fashioned Chocolate - 5/5 again all around good texture and flavor. It's a good choice if you want something more simple but still some morning chocolate.Everything Bagel 4/5 - was a bit messy as the everything topping easily fell off, but was very good. Cream Cheese is already added for you, and is the right amount to keep it flavorful and chewy without making it too soft.Breakfast Burrito 4/5 - was much larger than I originally thought it was going to be (which is not a problem at all) good choice of ingredients that gives it a great texture without being too much to clash.And my #1 choice being above and beyond one of the best jam/jelly filled donuts I've had is the Raspberry Bismark 10/5 fantastic in every way.When I'm in the area again I will definitely try to come back and try some more options.“

“Expensive doughnuts that are good, but I dont think are worth the hype. I definitely think its worth going in to try and donut or two. For donuts theres a few directions you can go - you can be simple, you can be tasty, you can be creative, or you can be all three. Blackbird donuts are creative, But they sacrifice taste.“
“This place is one of the best place to go in a hot summer weather. I really like the shaved ice with fresh fruits on top. The syrup was well distributed throughout and there was condensed milk that went well with shaved ice. There was a long line around 30 minutes but it was all worth it. It is a must place to check out if you are in Boston. I got half pina colada and half mango minutas which I highly recommend getting.“

“My daughter's favorite place on earth. Specialty cookies that are more like a cake-grapfruit sized with frosting. You'll walk right into the kitchen and be confronted with Ipads to place your order. There are six weekly types of cookies. Expensive. Six cookies will run you over $20. Incredibly nice service (in Brighton), and I'm sure I will be asked/told to return. Parking isn't great. “A simple but picture perfect cafe on an out of the way corner on Boston's North End, Caffe Lil Italy is a nice spot for morning coffee and Italian vibes in the neighborhood. We enjoyed lattes in the corner window seat. With views of the Old North Church and nonnas making their way with groceries down the crooked streets, it was enough to make you think you were in Europe and not Boston.“
“Very small little shop but it does not disappoint! They have a wide variety of treats and lots of different flavors for the shaved ice and ice cream flavors as well. I had the Minuta regular with mango, passion fruit and pineapple flavor and my husband had the Guanabanazo and both were delicious. We bought some frozen popsicles to bring home in a variety of flavors that are made there, which tasted great and a fair price. Can’t wait to go back and try something else!! Once I got home we realized they have a new and bigger location in Chelsea that I look forward to visiting also.“
