Fresh or canned fruit are delicious options they have. It's an angel food cake with a airy light frosting not too sweet. The fruit itself is the sweetness.

“This was my second time at Tatte, and it was just as good as the first! We ordered the shakshuka and the halloumi sandwich, and both were absolutely delicious. The pistachio latte was amazing, so flavorful and perfectly made. I’ll definitely be back to try their desserts, because they look incredible!

“Because other bakeries required advance reservations, I ended up finding this shop at the last minute and was able to place an order by phone. It turned out to be a 1000% pleasant surprise—honestly, This might be my favorite bakery shop in Boston right now.

I placed the order in the afternoon and picked it up the same night (they did say some cakes are better to pre-order though). We got the strawberry chocolate one, and it was insanely good. Not too sweet at all, the chocolate cake layers were exactly my type, and the chocolate filling was just perfect—not heavy.

Honestly can’t think of another place that beats this right now. Pretty sure this is gonna be my must-go spot from now on. Already told a bunch of friends—next birthdays, we’re all coming back here.“

The atmosphere is a bit cold inside, as well, as they do not have any seating to enjoy your goodies in the cafe - and seem to almost usher you out of the cafe by wrapping your box of pastries up with string and tying immediately. We did not get the same ‘family-owned’, warm vibe that some of the other pastry shops offered. Service was very friendly regardless. Definitely worth a trip if you’d like to try a unique flavor of cannoli!“

Bagels are good--crusty and chewy. Ordered 2 Everything with Classic Lox, 1 sesame with plain schmear, and 1 sesame with egg and cheese, to go. Everything bagels were good, but the seasoning had a bit too much salt. Sesame with schmear was fine. But the sesame with egg and cheese was MISSING FROM MY ORDER. I didn't discover it until I got home. Too far to go back, so I just got ripped off 😡 Otherwise, they were good. Check your order before leaving!“

“Tatte Bakery & Cafe - Back Bay was recommended in so many articles while I was researching places to try in Boston, and now I totally understand why.

I visited the Back Bay location a couple of times during my trip. It does get busy and it can be pricey but the food is absolutely worth it.

The sesame seed coffee kept me coming back (so unique and so good). I also had the Egg in the Hole two fried eggs nestled in a sesame Jerusalem bagel, served with a chopped salad and OMG that bagel was incredible. So fresh, flavorful, and perfectly textured.

The indoor is beautiful elegant and cozy.

I’m honestly sad I won’t be eating it again anytime soon… unless I fly back to Boston“
