“I love this place so much. I live in PA, have a husband and children, and still contemplate leaving them for the day to drive to Bakey and pick up a boatload of baked good. It’s that good. Please please please consider coming to the Lehigh valley!!“

“The cookies here are phenomenal! My mom and I came in here on a Saturday afternoon, and were greeted by a friendly staff member who explained the menu to us in great detail. He also had a tree nut allergy, so it was comforting to know that he was looking out for me!!! Definitely will be back“

“Absolutely delicious caffe latte, which was a pleasant surprise, as I did not come in intending to order coffee. No hints of bitterness whatsoever and very smooth.
The lamb shakshuka with the poached egg and challah was delicious, and the flavors were balanced. The service was quick and friendly, even during a very busy brunch hour on a holiday weekend.“

“Levain Bakery was a great stop! The latte was very aromatic, smooth, and delicious. The location was nice, walkable, and had a social feel, which made it a great place to stop by and enjoy a treat.
They had a lot of tasty bakery options, and everything looked fresh and delicious. The staff were also friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better.
Overall, Levain Bakery is a great spot for a good latte, delicious baked treats, and a nice atmosphere. I would definitely recommend it.“

“This place has strong sentimental value for me. We got our wedding cake here and they don’t ( or didn’t at the time ) make wedding cakes. We were young and poor and they made us three cakes which we put on platters to make into a wedding cake. We had so much left over we were eating it until Thanksgiving (got married at the end of August). We had no money and were eating pancakes, kraft Mac and cheese, chicken loaf sandwiches, chicken pucks and ramen to survive. But our freezer was filled with the leftover cake and I just loved it.
Circle back 30 some odd years later and my wife and I are walking through Chinatown and we come across this place again (we had moved away from the area after we got married). We go inside, the cake is not on the menu, but we tell them what we want (peach cake) and they make it for us right there. We bring it home and eat it the whole cake in one sitting.
Now whenever we are in Chinatown, we stop here before we go home and they make the cake for us ( though we don’t eat the whole thing in one sitting anymore).❤️“

“These bagels were amazing. I had the lox bagel, my son had the cheddar bagel with cream cheese, my husband had the cream cheese with heirloom tomato, and my daughter had the salted rosemary with cream cheese. Every single one was delicious.
The flavor reminded me of Apollo Bagels in New York truly some of the best bagels I’ve had in Boston. The coffee deserves a mention too; it was excellent. The team was incredibly sweet, there’s cute seating out front, and the neighborhood is lovely.
A must try. I’ll definitely be back.“

“Mike's Pastry is one of Boston's most iconic bakeries and a place that almost every visitor has on their list. Walking in, it's easy to see why it has remained so popular for decades. The display cases are packed with cannoli, cakes, cookies, lobster tails, and countless Italian pastries, making it difficult to decide what to order. The atmosphere is busy and energetic, with a constant flow of customers, but the staff keeps the line moving surprisingly efficiently.
The cannoli are the signature item and the main reason to visit. The shells are crisp and filled to order with a rich, sweet ricotta filling that has a smooth texture without feeling overly heavy. There are plenty of flavors to choose from, including classics like chocolate chip and pistachio, along with seasonal and specialty options. The pistachio cannoli stands out for its generous coating of crushed pistachios, while the chocolate chip version offers a more traditional take. Beyond the cannoli, the lobster tail pastry is another highlight with its flaky layers and creamy filling, and the bakery offers enough variety that it's worth trying more than one dessert.
One thing I liked is that the portions are very generous. Most of the pastries are large enough to share, especially if you're planning to sample a few different items. Everything is displayed behind the counter, making it easy to browse before ordering, although having so many choices can make it take longer to decide.
The biggest thing to plan for is the crowd. There is often a line extending outside, especially on weekends and during the summer, but it usually moves faster than it looks because the staff is well organized. Seating is extremely limited, so most people take their pastries to go. It is also worth remembering that the original North End location is cash only, so bringing cash can save you from any surprises.
Overall, Mike's Pastry is a classic Boston destination that lives up to its reputation if you enjoy rich Italian pastries. The cannoli are the obvious reason to visit, but the wide selection, generous portions, and historic atmosphere make it worth experiencing at least once. Even with the crowds, it remains one of the city's most memorable dessert stops.“

“I stopped by Sorelle Bakery & Cafe near Boston’s Financial District, and it felt like a perfect little spot for a quick breakfast or coffee break. The café has a relaxed neighborhood vibe, with people grabbing coffee on their way to work or sitting down for a casual lunch.
I ordered a coffee and a breakfast sandwich, and both were fresh and satisfying. The bakery also has a good selection of pastries, muffins, scones, soups, salads, and sandwiches, making it a convenient place for either breakfast or a light lunch.
The service was quick and friendly, which makes sense since many customers are office workers from nearby buildings. The atmosphere is simple and comfortable—nothing fancy, but a nice place to relax for a few minutes in the middle of a busy downtown area.
Overall, Sorelle Bakery & Cafe is a solid choice if you want good coffee, fresh pastries, and a quick, casual meal while exploring or working in downtown Boston“

“Customer service can be improved. Read more for personal experience. Yes, the patties are good, better than most others when you consider the authentic culture and taste from Haiti. The ingredients in taste have slightly changed from time to time. Customer service can be an improvement. Please provide more assistance to front personal on days that are most busy so they do not take out frustrations on customers. Personal experience, as I was asked to speed up my decision when I had my daughter and visually impaired father with me picking out what they wanted. Yes, there was a line, of which we also patiently waited for others to make their choices. Very 😠 grumpy personel. To help this process please do best to educate on best customer practice, and taking a break to ease personal tension. Otherwise, perhaps I'll return, and just maybe a better reception will compliment the pastries.“

“I’ve been coming her for at least 30 years. First with my grandmother as a child, whenever she was in a rage against American food, she would make my grandpa drive an hour in Boston traffic just to grab some buns. Now I take the train in regularly with my 6 kids in for buns for the last 14 years. It’s their favorite place in Boston.
It’s wildly consistent. Cash only, cheap, delicious, and the ladies working their are as fast and no-nonsense as they were 30 years ago.“

“Colette is the best bakery I have come across in Boston. Their freshly baked goods fly off the racks because the flavors and textures are just like the patisseries in Europe AND they are affordable.
In a city full of $7 dollar stale croissants made with margarine, this is a slice of heaven and safe space for culinary joy.
So far every single thing I’ve tried has been excellent: vanilla bean Eclair, Lemon tart (delicate light crunchy shell you would sell your soul for), pate sandwich, apple tart, canelle, croissant (did I mention the plain croissant is a little over $3 dollars?)“

“Located in a super cozy corner, I think we walked by this place quite a few times before stopping in. Easily had the best chocolate croissant I’ve ever eaten here, and if you’re able to, a fresh out of the oven slice of their pizza is amazing. Person behind the counter was very knowledgeable and patient. Great place.“

“They revised the menu and changed the way they baked the cookies. Pretty solid cookies. More than the cookies though, I appreciate the way the place is being managed. The store manager, Isaiah, was great. He listened to some the issues I experienced in the past at another store, and told me all about how they changed to make things better. Give them a try. I tried the s’more’s and the Oreo. I recommend the s’more’s.“
