“Best bakery we've been to in the Boston area. Everything we've tried has been excellent, but I highly recommend the ancient grain sourdough, the feta twist and the croissants. The prices are reasonable and the staff is always friendly.“
“Had a great experience at this local coffee shop. Both of our drinks were absolutely delicious- got the iced strawberry matcha and a plain cold brew. Might be my new favorite cold brew in the area! Also tried the garlic pao de queijo, which came steaming hot and was amazing. 10/10 experience and great atmosphere to get some studying in.“
“Pro: Best (Kulfi) cardamom ice cream in the state. It’s a mouth journey of flavors in a bite. Balanced flavor of nutty, milky/creamy, sweet, and a dash of the right amount of minty/earthy from the cardamom to top it all off.Con: Parking especially if you’re traveling alone.P.s I’ve tried another place’s cardamom ice cream it didn’t have the same kick/blast of those flavors mentioned above“
“Delicious waffles ! Good coffee! Tiny space be prepared to squeeze in . You can order on the iPad or at the counter. They bring it out to you. The waffles are liege waffle S but the size of a Brussels waffle. We shared one and it was plenty!! Got an Americano and it was decent. They didn't have half and half creamer so I plopped my extra whipped cream into it myself.“
“Mike's Pastry is an iconic bakery originating out of Boston's North End neighborhood. They offer a variety of cookies and other baked goods, but they are especially known for their extensive selection cannoli. Mike's of course has the classic plain ricotta, but they also sell more unique cannoli such as amaretto, limoncello, and hazelnut. Moreover, there are some newer flavors such as pecan caramel, peanut butter, and mint chip. There is something for everyone. This Cambridge location is fairly new, but their baked goods are of the same high quality as the original location, but with slightly less inventory and without the obscenely long lines. My wife and I got some cannoli for breakfast and some cookies for the flight back home. They pipped our cannoli fresh. Not sure if that's a regular occurrence at this location, or if it's because I arrived close to opening. Regardless, it was delicious and our family/friends loved the cookies.“
“One of the best coffee programs in greater Boston; highlighting craft roasters, many of them local. Rotates pretty regularly so there’s always something new.Decent vegan options which are super appreciated. Big fan of the vegan baked goods and breakfast sandwiches. Lots of interesting looking non-veg stuff beyond the standard egg/cheese breakfast sando (which they have too, don’t freak out). The bagels are really good.Definitely a step up from a lot of the other cafes in Cambridge/Somerville.“
“Such a cute little French patisserie. Would absolutely go back here. The tarts are to die for. My husband and I really enjoyed the chocolate and caramel tart it wasn’t too sweet or too heavy it was just right ! The passion fruit and raspberry tart is also notable:)“
“It is very busy at noon on weekdays, but there is no shortage of seats. It feels like everyone is enjoying their leisure time amidst the noise. The food is delicious, there is a gluten friendly menu, there is no vegan food (you can adjust it yourself without adding anything), and you can't just make egg white.“
“YUMMY! I went on a Sunday at around 1:30/2pm and there was such a long wait. I probably waited in line for 20 min, then another 5 to get my order, so I wouldn't recommend if you are in a rush. But parking was easy enough. And when it was my turn to order, wow, I wanted to try everything in the pastry case! I ended up getting the earthquake cookies, a chocolate chip cookie, baklava, and a donut with some kind of chocolate frosting and a creamy filling. Wow, everything was amazing, especially the donut! Would love to come back for lunch sometime and try more of their menu items :) very interesting flavors and offers!“
“I come here about every week for bulky Portuguese rolls and long sub rolls. They definitely distribute to many businesses on this street and at night it smells like sweet bread from the street. I have only used cash here and it's pretty cheap so I suggest you do the same.“
“Our first breakfast in Cambridge was at Mariposa Bakery, an easy walk from our Airbnb. I had the fantastic sunrise sandwich on a cheese bagel with egg, cheese, turkey bacon, fresh greens, tomato, and pesto aioli, and my husband had an egg sandwich with housemade turkey sausage on an everything bagel. Both sandwiches were really fresh and tasty. We also split a delicious raspberry muffin to go with their excellent drip coffee and an iced Americano. The service was very friendly and prompt, and the restaurant looks like a great place to hang out and visit or work.“
“We’ve been eating here a few times a year (other than during Covid) for about 10 years we’ve never had anything other than exceptional food. The sticky bun is the star of the show (aka for extra goo!!!!) but everything that is to your personal taste is fantastic.“
“Pastries are my weakness and Flour bakery has much to do about that! From the first homemade Oreo to the apple spice cake to the fresh soups, sandwiches & salads! I have enjoyed everything since Flour bakery opened their first location in the south end! Grab a cookbook if you can! I lost mine and need to get that Oreo recipe!“
“Tried for the first time and overall enjoyed the experience.Drinks: Mocha was well balanced and tasty.Sandwiches: Got the Darwin’s Mt. Auburn (turkey sandwich) and Strawberry Hill (beets sandwich). Both tasted good but were pretty messy to eat. They seemed a little hastily made (ie: bread toasted but cheese was not melted) and fell apart easily. People complain the sandwiches were too small, but I disagree. The Darwin’s was massive and the Strawberry Hill was a normal portion that would leave you satisfied.Atmosphere: cozy cafe vibes on one side.Prices: Felt a little high for lunch sandwiches but experience was positive enough that I felt like I’d gotten good value.Would return!“
“Their cheesecakes and filled donuts were exceptional, and the brunch options also impressed. The cozy ambiance added to the delightful experience. Highly recommend for anyone seeking tasty sweets and delicious brunch in a lovely setting. Don't miss this gem! ???“
“My go-to for sandwiches ! They are all delicious, and avocado toast is nice. Coffe, however, is not that good. For sweet tooth, the sticky bun is marvelous. I would not recommend the quiche, too fluffy and light (not tge french way)Overall a very nice lunch place.“
“YEAHHHH this was great!! I had debated whether to visit aJ.P. Licks since it seems like a bigger chain compared to other ice cream shops. It was so good, highly worth a stop if you’re in the area. I tried the cookies n’ cream cake batter flavor and a maple-based flavor. So good, soft, and not overly “
“I would like to thank Violette Bakery for my making my birthday special with a beautifully decorated and delicious birthday cake! So good! The whole family loved it too. I must eat both GF and DF so what a treat it was to be able to choose the flavor of the cake and frosting! My sweet sister in law ordered my choice of chocolate cake and the vegan salted caramel frosting. Well, it was dreamy!“
“Fairly yummy. I had a pepperoni pastry; it's like an elegant pizza, but instead of using dough it uses a croissant pastry underneath. Unfortunately the pepperoni in the middle was cold; there should be a way to heat it up and make it taste more nice. The berry cream pastry was better; the cream could have been a bit lighter, but the berries were fresh and the flakiness of the pastry was on point.“
“I can praise Henrietta”s table enough! The choices are amazing all healthy and sounds delicious and fresh! Having gluten and dairy allergies it’s hard to find a restaurant that is kind and respectful and understanding is hard but here they will make sure you have a fabulous safe meal. Been here a few times and last night we had Brit who was absolutely a doll helped me get out of my scrod box and try the salmon. I HIGHLY suggest for all. Thank you Brit much appreciate it“
“I want to give this place 5 stars, but every time I get food from here it’s sloppily prepared and is a major task to eat. Don’t get me wrong, it’s so tasty, but I find it falls apart or is soggy within 10 minutes because there’s either too much sauce or it’s thrown together.“
“My sister-in-law just sent me and my wife a door dash order to cheer us up, with cold brew and two pains au chocolat. I took one bite and… wow. Buttery but light and flaky, cooked just right - understated perfection in a bag! I grew up in France, and this is honestly one of the best French pastries I have had in 28 years living in the US. Even in France it's not every day you find one this good! We’ll be going there for more, can’t wait to try what else they have to offer!“
