“I have been to Japonaise for nearly 3 decades and all other locations they used to own. This little gem is operated by Takeo and his mom. Pure labor of love. Takeo works as primary baker. Everything here are delicious from breads, pastries, cakes, and some savory - Japanese delicacies. Takeo works very very long hours everyday making all of these. Wonderful folks. Asuki cream is my all time favorite.“
“What an amazing new addition to this neighborhood! The savory cheese and spinach pastry was to die for. The raspberries babka was amazing, just sweet enough. The bread was light and airy. The indoor setting is modern, perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee and work. The staff is kind and attentive. Highly recommend!!“
“This was my first ever Tatte location I went to. It was warm out so I sat outside for a nice view. Got the prosciutto toast with pesto and goat cheese and now it’s my go to Tatte dish. Their honey halva house latte is a must try too - also my go to Tatte drink.“
“The food there was amazing and the person at the cashier who served us was WONDERFUL! He came back to check on us often, he was VERY friendly, and we had a really nice talk. Would definitely come again, huge thank you to him, and indubitably this restaurant should get more than 5 stars.“
“This is the ONLY place in Boston/Greater Boston where you can get the real french experience.I was born there and grew up there, this is exactly what you'll find in France. Meaning, it's light, tasty and delicate. These are fluffy. It's not like the american version (heavy, overly sweet, dense). The next best place (french bakery) is in Falmouth MA.The brioche was delicious, pain au chocolat, croissant, MERCI! I'll be back!“
“Pies were excellent! Tried the blueberry and chicken pot pies. I was able to order both pies 24 hours prior. Staff were super accommodating. Parking right out front. Greeted by the nicest woman who answered all my questions and gave me great advice for future orders. Best experience. Everything was so wonderful that I went back two days later for another pie!“
“Party Favors is a Brookline institution! I've gotten multiple different things to celebrate for my partner over the years (and vice versa). The staff are always very friendly and accommodating to help make every event special! Recently had our wedding cake tasting through Party Favors which was excellent. They also contribute to the community such as giving out free cupcakes on Brookline First Light Festival! I'm happy to support the local business and it's top notch.“
“Very sad they are temporarily closed! The service was always great!Bread was fresh and very tasty!Cupcakes and cookies decorated beautifully. For all the holidays the line was long so you know you would get fresh baked good, but hopefully when the line went down there were some items left! Great parking ! Hopefully they will reopen soon!!“
“This is my go to place for bubble tea, I love their atmosphere, service and the bubble tea is soo good! I'm here at least once a week, usually more often.Unfortunately, a few times here and there the boba are too big for the straw, which makes drinking the bubble tea more a fight than a pleasure. But most of the time everything is perfect.“
“Great store with quality artisan bread as well as seasonal specials that I look forward to every year. The manager here is so nice as well she really cares about her customers and always thrives to make every experience great, she's always working hard in the mornings especially Wednesdays which is half priced sourdough. Shes usually multitasking with a smile and carrying on good conversation. The awesome down-home feel they cultivate makes it such a comfortable buying experience.Parking: Parking is out front along the street but even if it's full you can always go up a block and use the mid street parking lot.Kid-friendliness: Children welcomeWheelchair accessibility: No wheelchair access at this location but if you call ahead the workers will meet you outside with your order or make other accommodations. Call ahead and they will help you“
“These bagels are pretty stuffed. I had the Coolidge Corner on an everything bagel. This has chive cream cheese, smoked salmon, tomato, and onions. It was almost difficult to eat because the stuffing kept sliding out. Taste wise, it hit the spot. Pricing: a little expensive, but reasonable considering how filling these are. Bagels also come with a free bottle of water. Not much seating inside and the place was PACKED when I went. We waited about 10 minutes for our food.“
“My all time favorite cafe.I mean I don't know why I love the ambience, the food, the litte things of Tatte ,I literally don't know. But I am recommending the cafe from the bottom of my heart.I am leaving USA very soon. But definitely I am going to miss the cafe.I have visited so many times the cafe. But the last time my heart is overwhelmed but all the best wishes for the cafe and all my love for the cafe.❤️My favorite dessert of this cafe is pistachio tart.Vegetarian options: There are so many vegetarian options.“
“The cappuccino's were exceptional! We're on a journey in search of the best Baklava in Massachusetts and this was our first stop! There is a very specific taste we seek and hope to find again! ? Thanks for the start Athan's Bakery!“
“My daughter stopped in today on her way out of a drs appt. She brought home 2 perfect pistachio croissant and a box with 12 macaron. Everything was delicious. I don’t understand the limits! Her trip here must have been after noon time (1-2pm). They said one croissant per order, but since it was her and her bf they allowed them to purchase two. I understand not wanting to sell out at 8-9am and perhaps limiting, but all our money is the same! If someone gets there and waits in line and has money, sell to them! Mid afternoon limits seem silly. I’d think they would want the cases empty by closing time. I have waited 2 months to enjoy something from there. I hope to be able to purchase and try more, but we are an hour and a half away. I’d be so disappointed to go all that way and not be able to purchase a healthy size box/order. Please rethink the limit stuff!! Sincerely the best macaron and croissant I’ve had at 51 years of age! Can we order ahead and pay?“
“I kid you not - one of the best breads I've had in a while. There's a reason why people wait in line for this place. (Don't worry the lines aren't too long and go pretty quickly). I bought some croissants and a Demi baguette - it was foolish of me to think I'd wait till I was home to eat the baguette! Worth the visit and can't wait till I'm back! Also can't wait to try the coffee bar next door...“
