“I view this place as performance art as much as a good coffee shop. The pretentiousness about the coffee is a feature not a bug, and it’s so entertaining. I think a business owner deserves to be a little opinionated as long as the product they sell is great. It’s clear to me this coffee shop is not trying to maximize profit, but it’s simply selling coffee in the way they think it deserves to be shared, and I don’t think there’s necessarily anything wrong with that. If that’s not the vibe you’re looking for from a coffee shop then just don’t come here.“

“If you have been to Japan, you will love - CLEAN! FAST, very consistent, tasty. SO FRESH, you don't get canned jar sauces here. They make accommodations with no problem - for instance, the curries I take extra cabbage no rice- and my friend takes edamame no salt. Kind! Delicious matcha tea drinks. The Barley tea is like a beauty drink, IMHO.“
