“our server was so nice! My breakfast was exceptional as was my daughters. the coffee drinks were spectacular. The only complain I have is I wish they didn’t allow big dogs inside the restaurant. One of the people are allergic to dogs so we had to sit outside in the heat.“

“The most delicious pastries ever. If you love pistachio the way I do you will have trouble choosing and it is ALL great. But I particularly love the savories. The Palestinian bread and the flatbread with the green topping (forget what it's called) is a family favorite. We adore these; the flatbreads are a great quick lunch. But so so delicious, fresh, we are so fortunate to have you here!“

“Went today with my girlfriend, we had the most amazing baklava and Turkish coffee/matcha latte. The owner is the friendliest man you can find in Boston. Delicious coffee and pastries aside, I would visit this place simply for the hospitality; it was an outstanding experience.“

“Michette is a gem tucked into the ever-evolving landscape of East Somerville. From the outside, the charming signage with little cartoons holding croissants pulls you in, but it’s the feeling once you step inside that really hooks you.
Walking in, it almost feels like you’ve crossed into a different era. The rich, dark wood and bustling energy give it this kind of timeless, grounded vibe. You’ve got a crowd inside, all clearly here with purpose, as the team behind the counter works like a well-tuned orchestra, each person genuinely engaged with their craft. Watching them work—rolling dough, restocking trays—makes it feel like you’re witnessing something rare in today’s fast-paced world: people who truly enjoy what they’re creating.
In a city where larger, established bakeries often dominate, it’s inspiring to see a small, grassroots operation like Michette making its mark. There’s something special about seeing the community embrace a place that’s focused so much on quality and craft. Their strive for excellence doesn’t go unnoticed, and it’s clear that they’re pouring everything into this spot.
I tried their canelé and chocolate croissant, which lived up to their reputation. The canelé was perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and custardy within, and the chocolate croissant had these endless layers, each bite flaking away to reveal the deep chocolate tucked inside. You can taste the skill and attention that goes into these pastries; it’s obvious they’re baked with genuine love.
Michette feels like it could quickly become a contender for one of Boston’s go-to bakeries. I’ll be back soon, and if you’re a pastry lover, this place is definitely worth a visit.“

“love this bakery so much, went here almost weekly over the past year i lived here! there isn’t a baked good i’ve gotten that i didn’t like, and the staff are usually so friendly. i’m only writing this because i’m moving and i feel safe now to share this, but there’s this one specific white man cashier who has always been cold to me. every single time i’ve gone he’s never smiled, greeted me, or shown me any act of kindness, despite the fact that i always see him do so to other customers. i am a woman of color, and every time i’ve came and he’s been there i’ve dreaded him helping me because i knew i’d be met with this treatment. even at my last encounter, he said nothing to me other than the words “okay”, “is that all”, and the price of my order, despite greeting other customers with a smile. i’ll miss the bakery dearly but am happy to say i’ll be leaving this disrespectful treatment behind in brookline. he is why i am leaving 4 stars instead of 5. i hope management sees this and implements an effective anti-bias/anti-racism training for all staff workers because this is not okay.“

“This charming little café offers delicious pastries and breakfast sandwiches served on English muffins. The space is small, with just a few tables, but they also have a separate online order window, which is great for pick-up. My friend and I tried two lattes—one fall special and a vanilla oat milk latte—and both were solid, quality coffees. Nothing extraordinary, but definitely satisfying.
It was a bit busy, so we waited around 15-20 minutes, but it was worth it. We both went for breakfast sandwiches, which come in different varieties with optional toppings for an additional charge. Honestly, this was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve had in a long time. Even though it was on a smaller English muffin, it was hearty without being overly filling, and everything was cooked perfectly—especially the melted American cheese. The English muffins were soft and had a great flavor, much better than store-bought.
I got the egg and cheese sandwich with bacon and avocado, and I’ll definitely be back!“

Parking: There are many parking garages in the area, but I always take the train.
Kid-friendliness: Kids seem to enjoy it.
Wheelchair accessibility: It's right on street level.“

“This is one of the best pastry shops in the city. A cute stylish place in mint color with great French desserts. Friendly seller! We tried eclairs and tart, this is Belgian chocolate and everything is prepared in the best traditions of French pastry chefs, bravo to the chef! I recommend it to everyone!!

“My sister-in-law just sent me and my wife a door dash order to cheer us up, with cold brew and two pains au chocolat. I took one bite and… wow. Buttery but light and flaky, cooked just right - understated perfection in a bag! I grew up in France, and this is honestly one of the best French pastries I have had in 28 years living in the US. Even in France it's not every day you find one this good! We’ll be going there for more, can’t wait to try what else they have to offer!“

“I visited the Boston Public Market, which was bustling with activity. I chose a BLT on an everything bagel and added scallion chive cream cheese, which was fantastic—definitely worth trying. The bagel had a perfect combination of chewiness and crispiness, enhancing the overall experience.“

“Traveler from out-of-state here. I ordered chicken quesadilla and steak tacos for delivery, as it was raining too much to walk outside. To get tacos, it looks like you have to call directly as I did not see any tacos on any online ordering systems. The food was carefully packaged with care. The chicken quesadilla was great, and the chicken was pretty good. The steak tacos, however, were 0/5. Very, very salty and overcooked that it was not easily chewable at all. Ended up struggling to eat one, and tossed the rest.“

“Great place for a coffee and a nut-free snack. They sell cakes and cupcakes as lavender bee baking. The best time to go is mornings on the weekends when you can get a fresh cinnamon roll and a breakfast sandwich on a fresh biscuit. Year round, the best snack is the crumb bar. The owner, Kelsey, cultivates a sense of community in the business she's built. This is a family-friendly establishment, wheelchair accessible, it has vegetarian, gluten-free, and vegan options.
Vegetarian options: Most options are vegetarian except for the breakfast sandwiches
Dietary restrictions: This place is all nut-free, there are options for vegan and gluten free folks.
Kid-friendliness: The owner is very welcoming of kids.
Wheelchair accessibility: The front door is wheelchair accessible“

“I stumbled upon this bakery after reading a review of one of their customers on Google. I had to try it out myself. This place did not disappoint. I got a croissant, pain au chocolat, Pecan bun and ham and cheese sandwich in a baguette. Pecan bun was a blast. Everything else was awesome too.
This is hands down the best bakery/patisserie in Boston.
Thank you for the Pecan bun, it was amazing.
Note: this is not a traditional cafe. It is takeout only.“

“I love Top Shelf Cookies so much that I had them cater my wedding! Our 4 flavors – Boston lager chocolate chip, lemon coriander, s'mores, and rainbow sprinkles – were a hit with our guests. It was easy to communicate with Heather about our order of 300 cookies. She was friendly and responsive. We paid online and picked up the order the morning of our wedding. I highly recommend Top Shelf Cookies for weddings or other events!“

“I went in to buy some thing sweet and they have 1 million different new pastries and sandwich thingies, like an enclosed grilled cheese sandwich of some kind and pizza pocket thingy along with several beautiful looking french pastries.
A lady who was waiting outside prior to opening at about 7:30am raved about the “Saturday only” Almond chocolate croissants and I had bought one with chocolate.(they have almond croissabts too)
It is crunchy and chewy-ish with some nice sweet flavors on the inside and out.
I give it a 10! Does not seem like a fluffy thin latered usual croissant with minimal flavor.
It is like a croissant on steroids or growth hormone!
Get it! You will love it-Guarantee!“

“As I was waiting at a red light on Main St. in Woburn, I saw Roma's Bakery on my left. I had never been in before, so naturally I banged a "u-ey" just before passing the restaurant. I'm glad I did! I was greeted immediately, and the staff/owners were so friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is bright and airy, with lots of desserts, calzones, pizza, and sandwiches to choose from. I picked up a jam-packed spinach and cheese calzone and a big square slice of Sicilian pizza. The pizza sauce was so deliciously seasoned, and the thick dough was light and fresh. I don't know why it took the better part of living in the area for 20 years for me to come in, but I'll definitely be back! Do yourself a favor, and visit Roma's today!“

“Pricier than the sweet shop in Norwood where I usually get mochinuts ($3.50 each here, and it’s $2.50 each there), but they have a wider variety here. You place your order through a machine and someone brings it out.It is inside the same building as the Gong cha place, but it is a separate ordering and service system.Street parking is limited. The place is accessible but I don’t think there are bathrooms.Plenty of tables and booths to sit inside and wide lanes to roll if you use wheels.“
