Corporate says that because this is a licensed store, they can choose not to....buyer beware for here and ANY location that is licensed on a college campus, airport or mall. They apologized and have only a handful of locations in the USA that will take a gift card. 😢“

The two-story space with outdoor seating gives it more breathing room than most spots in the area, and the upstairs seating is a good option when the weather is not cooperating and you want somewhere to sit and eat without rushing.

The bagels are the foundation and they hold up well as a vehicle for everything built on top of them, with the everything bagel being the standout in the lineup. This place is more than a coffee shop. It is a daily ritual for students and locals and artists and anyone who wants to feel taken care of from the moment they walk in the door. There is something about this specific Pavement location that feels warm and alive the second you enter. You hear the grinders humming and the staff laughing with customers and you instantly know you are in the right place.

The coffee is consistently incredible. Not sometimes good and sometimes okay. Always incredible. The espresso tastes like someone who actually cares pulled it. The drip coffee is rich and full and never bitter. The lattes are silky and made with the kind of intention that you normally only find in small independent shops. You can tell they take their beans seriously and you can taste that care in every sip. This one is hands on always present and sets the tone for how good the store feels. Berklee kids write whole essays about how good the service is here and that does not happen without someone incredible running the show.

Even when it is packed which happens often because everyone wants to be here it still feels smooth. The line moves fast. Drinks are accurate. The staff stays friendly. Unlimited milk hack (CURRENTLY UNPATCHED). Simply go to the coffee station and grab the free water cup. Then pour milk in the cup without the staff seeing. Free milk and it’s 2% too, what a steal. I wish it was apple juice low key though.“
