“This place does not miss. I have been here many times for friends birthdays, anniversaries or family dinners and they are always extraordinary. The wait staff is professional, the drinks taste amazing (but are still strong), and the steak is some of the best I have ever had. The bread is always fresh that they bring to the table and the side are all very tasty. I highly recommend the tomahawk steak and a dirty martini from this place. A match made in heaven.“

“La Voile offers a cozy and trendy atmosphere with excellent service and classic French cuisine. The portions come with the fine dining territory, but the quality is outstanding.Extended: Nestled in a charming setting, La Voile exudes an air of elegance and sophistication, making it a delightful destination for those seeking classic French cuisine. From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism, setting the tone for a memorable dining experience. The restaurant's ambiance is cozy yet trendy, with stylish decor and a welcoming atmosphere. The attention to detail is evident in every aspect, from the carefully curated wine list to the impeccably presented dishes. While the portions at La Voile may be smaller than some diners are accustomed to, the quality more than makes up for it. Each dish is beautifully plated (though I was unable to capture the excellence on camera) and bursting with flavor.I would like to note that the liver pâté was served generously but with a slight oversight in the amount of accompanying bread. However, this minor hiccup did not detract from the overall excellence of our meal. The menu at La Voile offers a range of classic French dishes, each prepared with care and attention to detail. From the rich and decadent sauces to the perfectly cooked proteins, every bite was a delight.La Voile is a charming restaurant that excels in both service and cuisine. While the portions may be small, the quality is exceptional, making it a perfect choice for those who appreciate quality over quantity.“

“We came from Chicago to explore Boston. After we visited Bunker Hill, we were looking for a place to hide from the rain. The only place that was close was the "Brewer's Forks". Honestly we were pretty skeptical at first, but we were extremy delighted by the very tasy, delicious food and warm and nice atmosphere. We loved it so much that we decided to stop by the next day again before we went to the airport! We met Jeorge and Kyle who are very professional, polite and nice guys. They helped us choose from their very interesting and outstanding pizza flavors. We have never tried such delicious pizza before. Also the big variety draft beers was very impressive. I would recommend everyone to visit this place. Delicious and authentic food all made fresh at the restaurant, professional stuff and warm atmosphere, everything that you need to feel good!!!“

“When visiting a French restaurant expectations are high. The food tends to be exquisite and some dishes are here. The Foie Gras is amazing and so are all the deserts we tried. However the escargot which is something I always try at French restaurants was only ok.The service varies on who your server is as we had friends who came to the restaurant after we sat and we ordered before they even got their menus and yet they had their appetizers first. When looking for someone to call for a refill and even when we wanted the menus for desert, it is very difficult to catch anyone looking at your table as if each waiter will only look at their own table only. On the bright side they brought us water as soon as we sat and refilled it often. That is how I would get someone's attention...finish my water so someone could come by and I could ask for something. The place is very small and you will have to be a party of two and be lucky to get a table without a reservation, which is what happened with our friends..who came in a little after we sat and were hoping they could sit with us, but with such little space it seemed unlikely they would even be able to get a table but as they were asking a table for two was leaving. Its rather on the expensive side which can be understood with the quality of some of the dishes, however I would except everything to be great for these prices. Its a good place with potential to be great.“

Great texture and not too sweet. The burger (royale) was also just an excellent burger with good sauce. The only thing that I’m not sure I would order again was the brunch bowl. The eggs came over medium so the yolk wasn’t oozing over the rest of the bowl. Also, the portions of each item felt a little off. It definitely could have used more Brussels sprouts and bacon, but there were a lot of the breakfast potatoes. “If you’re looking for a cozy and quaint oyster bar in the South End, you have to give B&G Oysters a try! It is the perfect spot for a date-night or special occasion. It is very cozy and intimate. I wouldn’t recommend it for large groups, given the limited space. We decided to stop in to celebrate my mother’s birthday with some raw oysters. I would strongly recommend a reservation, especially given the limited seating and space. I am glad we made a reservation, as the place quickly filled up on a rainy/slushy Thursday evening.B&G is located in Boston’s South End. The entrance is around the side of the business, right off their outdoor patio. I look forward to returning when we have better weather to truly enjoy the patio! It looked like the perfect place to enjoy oysters on a gorgeous day!B&G is mainly known for their oysters and raw bar offerings. The raw bar is expansive and offers raw oysters, raw little-neck, and raw cherrystone clams. They offer multiple raw oyster options to suit every taste and preference. We prefer a larger, creamier oyster. Our server was well-educated on the day’s offerings and explained the flavor profile of each variety offered, as well as the location where the oyster is procured. The menu also offers fresh shrimp cocktail, crab cocktail, Jonah crab claws, and ceviche. If you are a fan of caviar, they offer three different types. For the larger appetite, they offer a “caviar flight”, as well as seafood towers with a solid variety. If you’re not a raw-bar fan, no worries! They have a solid selection of appetizers. You’ll find fried calamari, fried oysters, tuna tataki, and more. They also have a small selection of fresh salads and of course, clam chowder. The entree menu may be on the smaller side. However, everything here is incredible. They offer classics like Fish and Chips, Lobster Rolls, and Fried Clams. You’ll also see unique offerings, like Branzino. We decided to start off with some raw bar offerings. We are huge fans of raw oysters, so we took the recommendations of our server. We went with a dozen oysters, half Wellfleet and half Martha’s Vineyard. The oysters were exactly as described by our server. The oysters were medium to large size and they were some of the best I have had in the city. They were clean, no sand or bits to break a tooth on. Everything is shucked and prepared in an open kitchen.Next, we decided to order a few of the shrimp cocktail and the crab cocktail. The shrimp were medium in size, cleaned properly, and incredibly fresh. No odd aftertaste. The crab cocktail was a generous portion, highly recommend it with a side of their toasted bread. It is plenty to share and is very rich. For the main course, we decided to order the Whole Branzino. It is served with an incredible caramello sauce, charred lemon, and a crisp tomato/cucumber salad. The fish was cooked perfectly and our server was kind enough to assist in “de-boning” the Branzino. The Branzino was super light and flavorful. The caramello sauce is truly incredible and is wonderful on the fish. The tomato/cucumber salad was juicy and crisp and complemented the fish perfectly. My only complaint is that we didn’t EACH order a fish. It is THAT good. The best I have had.We will certainly be back. The Lobster Roll and Spicy Clam Linguine is on our list for the next visit! The service is top-notch and the servers are actually educated on the raw offerings of the day. That is a rare thing these days! Pours are also very generous. We cannot wait to come back for more oysters and to enjoy a meal on their outdoor patio. It looks like the perfect spot to kick back with some fresh oysters on a beautiful day!My only suggestion would be is to offer a larger dessert menu. That was the only thing that left a bit to be desired. Aside from that, one of our new favorites in Boston!Parking: Parking is very difficult, if not impossible. You can wait and get lucky and snag a street spot a block or two down and walk it. Otherwise, I’d suggest garage parking or take an Uber.Any other parking in the area is mainly resident-only, permit“

“We went for brunch with our 9 year old. We got 2 spicy bloody Mary's, highly recommended, and the steak tartare. I do wish it came with 6 chips not 4. Our server steered me to the croque madame over the beouf benidict, it was one of the best I've ever had in my life. We had crème brûlée a Negroni and an espresso martini. Can't wait to go back at night for the escargot.“

“The waiters have always been a constant for me here. I’ve been coming here for years, a go to spot in the north end for me. Last time I was in, they were hustling with reservations and when we were seated they were as hospitable as they always are and brought us over complimentary chocolate cake to top off dinner. Thank you wait staff!!!“

“The food and wine was excellent, our waiter made some great suggestions for wine pairings too. I really enjoyed my time here. It can get a little bit loud, but that's to be expected for a smaller venue. I was still able to chat with my friends no issue though.“

“Ordered takeout of several items off the menu for dinner with my partner.Jollof Rice w/ Bean and plantain: The Jollof was not my favorite. However, the beans and plantain were both excellent. Perfectly cooked and flavorful.Goat Pepper Soup: I really liked this item. It had just the right amount of spice and kick that I was looking for. The goat meat was soft and tender as well.Moi Moi: I loved this. I'm a big fan of Moi Moi and this did not disappoint.Efo Riro: This was by far the highlight for me. The dish was very flavorful. Will definitely check this place out next time I'm in the mood for some Nigerian food.“
