Metropolis is a cozy and intimate restaurant in the south end, perfect for a date or small group dinner. This compact bistro in Boston's South End delivers well above its intimate size. The menu offers elevated dishes and inventive cuisine. The food quality is consistently high and excellent. The warm welcome, lively bar, and wrappings for well made cocktails and wonderfully chosen wines make it a great choice. It is both a neighborhood joint and for a night out on the town. The food comes out very quickly. The service was pretty subpar.
