Baleia Reviews
My husband and I stopped by here for after dinner drinks and had a wonderful experience sitting at the bar. The bartender Juan was knowledgeable and let us try a variety of port and Maideria wines. It was a great experience and we felt like we were in a wine tasting in Portugal. He was very attentive and made the experience phenomenal. The ambiance was also very nice. Would definitely recommend this spot for anyone in the area and don’t sleep on the Port wine!
Excellent food, amazing service with flavors which were out of the world! Definitely get the eggplant, shrimp and the olive oil cake. Huge portions and a very nice wine list. One of the nicest meals I’ve had in Boston.

Baleia offers an upscale dining experience with a beautiful interior and attentive service. The restaurant serves small plates to share, with most dishes being small portions. Appetizers are tasty and well-presented, including the popular Portuguese sweet rolls with creamy butter. Entrees, such as the pork belly with polenta and the octopus dish with a unique crunchiness, are similarly portioned with sides included. Desserts, including the recommended sonhos (fried dough balls), are a highlight. The restaurant also features a lively atmosphere with an attractive space and dark interior design. The food is innovative, with dishes like roast cauliflower and spicy eggplant offering new flavors. Prices are lower than expected, making for a fun dinner experience. The staff, including friendly servers and welcoming management, make guests feel special. Baleia is a unique dining spot worth trying, whether for a special occasion or a night out with friends.
