There was a charm and authenticity to this place that made it a nice experience for me, depsite the construction going on. I walked in and the cashier was conversing with 3 regulars in Italian, who then proceeded to gather around a table to sip their espresso and watch the soccer game on the big screen TV at the back. Gelato was good. I had the strawberry gelato, and it was sweet and delicious. However, I recommend you get the espresso Gelato. It was by far the best one.They do offer samples, but you are limited to just one.

**Cash Only place hard to find these in Boston totally worth going I always get the cannoli's which are amazing. It's a subway style pick the shell the frosting and the toppings and the are priced reasonable. A must stop place while in the North End.
