About JūNi Modern Japanese Cuisine

JūNi Modern Japanese Cuisine is a fantastic spot in Quincy Center, offering great omakase in a cozy atmosphere. The seafood is fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor, with quality ingredients and balanced flavors in every bite. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the service is exceptional and inviting.

The omakase concept works very well, and it is very exciting to try each piece presented on a single dish. The “toro toro toro” special, the salmon with grape and lemon, the egg, the wagyu, and the toro additions are all phenomenal. Fans especially enjoy the branzino, naruto, nitamago, salmon, and the avocado crab ball that comes with the prawn. The mushroom dashi is a great amuse bouche to start with. The $69 option includes the 12 piece with rice and seaweed, with add ons available.

The space is small, with two 2x2 tables plus the sushi bar, so there will most likely be a wait. Currently they are doing a soft opening, so the drink menu is limited, but liquor will be available at a later date.

Excellent experience and food. Very attentive.
Such a fantastic spot! So happy to have great omakase in Quincy. The seafood is fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. A good omakase is all about quality ingredients, balanced flavors, and attention to detail in every bite, and this spot delivers! The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the cozy atmosphere makes the experience even better. We celebrated my partner’s birthday here, which happened to also be one of the chefs’ birthdays! They graciously...read full review
A great experience! We stopped in after work and had the omakase along with the “toro toro toro” special. The salmon with grape and lemon was a great bite, as was the egg. There isn’t a liquor license yet (coming soon) but the mushroom dashi was a great amuse bouche to start with. It’s a small spot (two 2x2 tables plus the sushi bar) and they only had the omakase (no a la carte) when we visited, but the food was extremely fresh and very good. It also arrived very quickly....read full review
