“We were traveling out of Logan so stayed at the Marriott in Quincy so we made a reservation for 7:00. We sat at the bar and the bartenders were superb! Very friendly and attentive. I had a burger and my husband had the chicken sandwich. Both were outstanding! The fries were amazing!!! It is costly because it is located in a hotel so we expected to pay more than a pub elsewhere.“

“Loved the atmosphere and food. Very cozy and friendly. We got the fish & chips and shepherd's pie and both were excellent. Loved that the fish didn't have a greasy, heavy batter but just enough to compliment and flavor the dish. Great, accommodating waiter even though he was extremely busy. The live music, for us, was disappointing as this was one of the reasons we purposely chose to come here. You could barely hear them even though the background noise wasn't excessive. As musicians who grew up on Irish music, it felt sterile and lifeless. They seemed to be technically good musicians but maybe tired? Probably nit picky on our part but music is powerful and getting to be a musician a privilege and a gift. Missed this joy in the group and their delivery.“

“Bangers and mash were fabulous at this, new to me, lovely, Irish pub!“
“Contrary to some of the reviews, I will say that this is not a dive bar. I love dive bars, but this is not one. It is a very cool, very casual, neighborhood Irish pub. I will also say that they definitively have, by far, the best pint of Guinness in Boston (or the state of Massachusetts) that I've had.“

“First time at Olde Magoun's Saloon. Beyond amazing food and service. Our waiter ( didn't catch him name) tall gentleman with a beard was phenomenal! Friendly and efficient!!! The food was savory and fresh. We enjoyed the Irish Chicken Curry and the Besto Pesto sandwich!! First time to Boston and by far our favorite meal here.“

“The Cottage Bar is hands down the best meal I have ever gotten in New England! The Irish breakfast is spot on, the dinners are, absolutely breathtaking! the food is hot, each layer is as hot as the one before. I am amazed every time how the entire meal stays hot! The atmosphere is welcoming and kind. I always go with my husband and my toddler, they have never treated us differently. I honestly can’t wait till next visit. I 100% can say I won’t pay for a meal at another restaurant (except one pizza place in marshfield) and we live over an hour away!“

“New to town so tried out “The Banner”. Good ol fashioned Irish Pub! Usually you walk into a pub and you get looked at your first time by everyone for being the new guy, but felt very welcomed! Guinness was ice cold, and properly poured just how I like it! Barkeep was personable and attentive! Music was perfect volume and classic! Love this place!“

“Great check in with host. Seated, and a server came by fairly quickly to take our drink orders. The server was very overworked - and attempting to serve the entire dining room with just one other server. Drinks were great, beer was cold and food was on point. We would definitely return.“

“We arrived for our reservation and told our host we were able to stay for 1 hr and if that was enough time for food prep and eat time. Host checked with kitchen and we were seated, waited on, received our lunch which was SO good and checked out. Appreciated how our waitress took care of us-party of 6 from a tour bus! We had fish and chips and lobster rolls. Everything was hot and tasty. We enjoyed our time there!“

“We wish Solas lease was renewed. We hope to get in one more time before they cease to exist. Hoping the Lenox Hotel doesn't totally do away with the Irish Pub concept and great staff, that we have enjoyed for many years! Very sad to see Solas go!“
