“In Boston during FB season and searched for a Packer Bar - BansheeBar kept showing up and when asking around they were the #1 recommended place. “Couldn’t have had a better first experience last Saturday night! Our 7pm reservation was early! We arrived at 6:45pm knowing we were early and we were seated by 6:50pm. Kelly was a phenomenal server; attentive, knowledgeable, offered amazing recommendations, was genuinely kind and personable, and never let a crumb touch the table. The food was incredible! Everything was timed perfectly, giving us ample time to eat and enjoy before the next course arrived. Fresh ingredients, hot entrees, and well seasoned bites - everything from the oysters to the sticky toffee carrot cake was a delight. This was the best restaurant experience my husband and I have had in years. Truly. Two very minor notes: - the restroom was sprinkled with paper towels on the floors. A little extra attention would make a huge difference. -it was LOUD. It was a Saturday night and we were next to a large group, so we didn’t complain. It happens. But wow, it was LOUD. 10/10. Really. We can’t wait to come back and we’ll be asking for Kelly!!“

“I haven’t bn for ages although I know it’s the same owner who knows who’s who, I had great times in there with my father n his friends and many a nights with my friends , The IV is a Brighton treasure never any trouble and great ppl have always worked there . You cannot go wrong anytime of day or night . You won’t get a bad Guinness in there well I nvr did. I miss the Village I’ll have to stop by for a pint! NC 5 Starr“

“Fantastic selection of food and drinks. The menu has plenty of variety and makes it easy to find something for everyone. We especially enjoyed the excellent selection of local beers, which paired perfectly with the meal. The food was delicious, fresh, and full of flavour. The staff were wonderful—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Overall, it was a great experience and exactly what you want from a good local pub. We will definitely be back.

“Went for lunch, last Friday. I have to say it was awesome. Our Waitress was so friendly, she checked on us a few times to make sure we had, or needed anything. My sister, and I am telling everyone to go over to McGonagle's Pub in Dorchester, and give it a try. We will be back there soon. 💚“

“We got a table near the live music at the front of the pub on a Wednesday at 7. We used OpenTable to make reservations, but didn't need them.
We enjoyed the mocktails, sampler platter, Guinness Beef Stew,
Steak tips and Bangers & Mash. The beef stew was particularly rich and delicious.“

“This is the ideal atmosphere if you are looking for and old Irish bar feel, excellent drinks, music and friendly people. We went on a Sunday and Monday evening and at in the bar area both times as that is what we prefer. We only had to stand around for about 10 minutes on Sunday before a couple had left and we were able to take their seats. The bar tenders went out of their way to help us with our orders as the place was extremely busy. You can’t go wrong by going to The Black Rose! Slainte!“

“First time at Olde Magoun's Saloon. Beyond amazing food and service. Our waiter ( didn't catch him name) tall gentleman with a beard was phenomenal! Friendly and efficient!!! The food was savory and fresh. We enjoyed the Irish Chicken Curry and the Besto Pesto sandwich!! First time to Boston and by far our favorite meal here.“
