“Exploring the old neighborhood after years away and popped into Shirley on at Saturday morning. Got the disco breakfast sandwich and couldn’t resist taking a blueberry pastry and focaccia for later. Just remarkable. Perfectly balanced. Katherine was so hospitable! Came back on Sunday and got the mozzarella salami sandwich. No misses on the menu!“

“This was my Daughter's birthday weekend and we wanted to Take her to one of the places that Guy Fieri Visited for DDD...making memories. What we got was so much more. Truthfully the Best dining experience we have EVER experienced. The hostess was super friendly and immediately made accommodations due to the fact that I am currently in a wheelchair. The atmosphere was astonishing!!! The food...we truly cannot say enough good things about an are planning when to take the trip from Vermont again to get more. We were blown away . However the highlight of our evening hands down was our Server Kevin!!! He made my Daughter's night ...focused on making her smile and gave her a piece of cheesecake to celebrate. We will remember this forever and simply cannot thank you enough“

“First time at Olde Magoun's Saloon. Beyond amazing food and service. Our waiter ( didn't catch him name) tall gentleman with a beard was phenomenal! Friendly and efficient!!! The food was savory and fresh. We enjoyed the Irish Chicken Curry and the Besto Pesto sandwich!! First time to Boston and by far our favorite meal here.“

Tall Order: The same drink as the shop's name, a very beautiful one, like a crystal-clear sprite in the dark. It has the clean and mild sweetness of a three-star Presson rum, the bright acidity of a ten-year Madeira, and the crispness of pineapple peel and lime—overall very refreshing. It also has clarified coconut milk added, but the effect is rather subtle.“

( can’t wait to try them for lunch ) They girl that waited on us was very friendly and you could just tell the day after Christmas that she loved her job The place was very clean , and didn’t smell like old steal oil .. “Small neighborhood greasy spoon diner with generous portions and an excellent breakfast menu. Numerous daily specials including omelets, stuffed French toast and benedicts. I had the William Wallace omelet with fresh apples inside for a sweet savory and my girlfriend had one with avocado, broccoli and spinach. Service was polite and self service coffee was available. Not necessarily a destination for brunch but a nice place if you live in the neighborhood.“
