Stopped in for a quick dinner with a friend. Everything was fine(menu, food,service, atmosphere) nothing was impressive. I'm not sorry I went, but not sure I would return.

The Independent offers a lively atmosphere for social gatherings and romantic evenings alike. Their menu features a range of delicious options, including spicy wings, poutine fries, French onion soup, burgers, and the buttermilk chicken sandwich. The bar serves an impressive selection of draught beers and inventive cocktails, such as the Irish Old Fashioned. Bartenders are patient and attentive, and the snacks, like artichoke dip, are highly recommended. The food was great, and the place is roomy. Everyone from the greeter to the bartenders and even the runner were just the most inviting and hospitable people. They had mussels which were correctly prepared in an authentic European broth and Mac&Cheese. Great atmosphere, awesome food, an amazing selection of drinks & phenomenal hospitality from the entire staff. Amazing food and cocktails at such a reasonable price for the area. Especially loved the salmon with an incredible yogurt tahini sauce. The best part was the fries! Service was great and loved the patio-perfect for an al fresco date night dinner.
