Dropped in looking for Irish music bc it was the Saturday of St. Paddy's weekend.... and were surprised that it was a karaoke night. With nobody singing any Irish songs. And only about 2 people who could carry a tune. But that's ok. Who am I to judge and I didn't have the guts to get up there, so there's that. Cool Pub with Bah Pizza Red Rose is a legendary spot in Springfield for a reason. 50+ years. This place looks like an old school Italian place so I had my expectations up high and it did not disappoint. The bread was fantastic and the salad and salad dressing was delicious. I also had the chicken parm sandwich and it was a huge portion and very tasty. The key to food is consistency. All these years its been done least 98 percent. That very good. Went for the first time last night. Really reminded me of the Pubs I frequented while in Ireland. (Served a proper pour of Guinness, not usual for most bars in the area. ). Service was friendly and fast. Food is good, well cooked, and very reasonably priced. We were there on a Wednesday for Open Mic Night and very much enjoyed the music.
