Try to be open when you say you are
Rude, impatient staff.
How does a donut shop have almost no donuts at 9 a.m. on a weekday!$
I have reached donut heaven. I have had donuts in all 50 states and never have any of them been on par with a Honey Dew Donut. The staff was very friendly. "Rick" the sales representative at the counter let me sample some of the donuts by licking the icing and then putting them back on the shelf for sale. Nice guy.
Don’t get me wrong, Honey Dew iced coffee is really good (and what saved from me only rating 1 star), however, this was the first time in my life that I had a Honey Dew employee treat me like garbage (and I know Honey Dew, growing up in Rhode Island and Massachusetts). She wouldn’t even look at me while taking my order and mumbled away from me. After a couple of mumbles, the clerk gave me an entitled attitude about me being “all set” (which is a New England way of someone saying that they’re good) and I said that I wanted a large, black iced coffee. I reiterated (because the clerk asked for me to clarify) and I said that I wanted iced (instead of hot) coffee. Then, the clerk gave me a hot coffee and I said that I wanted iced coffee. Then, the clerk gave me even more (and to a greater degree) of attitude; saying that she heard that I wanted hot coffee. A few minutes went by (and I was the only customer ordering/waiting for an order at this moment; which I must add) and I finally got my iced coffee as the clerk moved like a snail behind the counter.I know about the employee shortage so; Honey Dew (and most other restaurants) are “behind the 8 ball” here with finding workers but if things change, Honey Dew might want to consider how to handle this employee; who has an “I don’t care” attitude behind the counter because this employee definitely gives a coffee company a bad name that I have nothing but great things to say about them.
Honeydew Donuts always has an air of mediocrity about it and this isn't an exception, but I specifically want to say that the lady running the counter was polite and made a perfectly acceptable ice coffee for me in the early morning. Just what I wanted from a rest stop.
I've been to plenty of Honey Dew's before and ordered a S'mores iced coffee. It's always come out to be a brown color because the s'mores flavor is supposed to be chocolate with marshmallow flavor. I went out of my way from my usual routine to get a s'mores iced coffee here and it was made completely wrong. I asked the older lady who was running the counter if she had s'mores flavor and she said yes. So I asked for a large iced s'mores extra cream no sugar. Of course the coffee was made wrong. Completely wrong color and didn't even taste like s'mores. I went back in to ask her to remake it because it was clearly wrong and she was like "well, that's the s'mores we have so you'll have to deal". Like huh? Clearly it's not regular s'mores, and she should've specified that before I ordered. Now I paid $4 for a coffee that I don't even want and tastes disgusting. Poor customer service. If they didn't have normal s'mores, I would've said ok and left. No reason for her to lie and then make me feel bad when I tell her she made my coffee wrong. Definitely not coming here again. Maybe work on better customer service and order accuracy because it's really not working here.

Terrible service with a bad attitude! my husband went in to get iced coffee and an iced tea. The server was rude ignorant and lazy. She refused to make hot tea on a cup of ice. she did not even offer a cup of ice on the side so I could make my own. She had a terrible attitude.
