Authentic Italian food. Great atmosphere and service.
It’s a little on the expensive side, but in my view, worth it for the food, the drinks, the overall decor and atmosphere. Friendly staff.
It’s the same menu as Il Casale Belmont. The DeMagistris brothers know how to run a restaurant.
Went to Lexington location for my birthday dinner. Server was awful. First took a long time to get our drink orders and then even longer to actually bring them to the table, then forgot what two people ordered to drink and asked us again. We ordered three appetizers that never came to table, they showed up with our meals and we were confused. We asked where were the apps and he said oh you didn’t get them? But then asked what did you order?! Then said oh do you want me to take it off the bill? Like why would we pay for food we didnt actually get? And how did he not know we did not get them??!!! Our food was delicious but he never asked if we wanted refills on drinks or if we needed anything. Then after forgetting our appetizers, he didn’t send manager over or take anything off the bill. No apologies at all. Server seemed completely not engaged and we won’t be back. Terrible experience which is too bad bc food was good.
Our order got lost in the kitchen and was cold by the time it arrived over an hour after we ordered. Two cocktails, an appetizer, and two entrees ended up being very expensive for the quality received.
First time coming here during the parade in Lexington. Service was amazing super attentive and helpful. Sat right away since it wasn’t that busy. The bread and oil were amazing to start with. Food took a bit but once it came out it flew off the table as well. Plates stood no chance, the pasta tasted fresh and the cutlets for the kids were made to perfection. Would definitely need to come back if we’re ever in Lexington.
Met a friend who recommended this place since it was equidistant. She had been here before and thought it was good. Our experience was totally ruined because there were mice scurrying on the floor underneath the seats! My friend saw something run by and kept looking at the floor, which made me nervous as wr thrn both picked up our purses off the floors. Then we tried to give it the benefit of the doubt that it was not a mouse. But then after we finished our meal, she saw it run by again and pointed it out to us. Our raised voices caught the attention of the 2 men at the close by table who said that they had been seeing the mice as well. When we told the waiter, he minimized it and said someone had already told him and he had informed the owner who was going to call pest control the next day. He apologized for the experience but offered nothing, which was very poor customer service for such an awful experience. I will not be coming back and hope this will forward folks who might be wary of mice in a restaurant.
Regarsing the food, we shared the calamari, which was fine. Batter was too heavy for my preference and marina was bland. The battered zucchini was different and interesting although I would have preferred to get more calamari than filler fried veggies. I got the short rib ravioli which was tasty although I'm grossed out now about where it was prepared and whether the mice are running rampant in the kitchen. We skipped dessert since we were eager to leave after seeing the mice. Not really sure if this incident was a one off like the waiter said but there are plenty of places to eat so I will not return, especially given how the staf and ownerf seemed to take it so lightly.

Don’t get the octopus, it was very bad. The restaurant was out of bread and many other essential items on the menu. The table we were sitting at was dirty and service was polite but awkward. Would not go back. For the price we paid, the experience should’ve been 5x better.

This place used to be great, worth the cost. Went back recently and food was bland and just not good. Not worth the money. Love the atmosphere and drinks were fine but very disappointed that we won't be going back to a restaurant we used to enjoy.

We grew up in Lexington and this was our family go to restaurant. Not any more. The service was good but the food was terrible. The artichokes were over fried. The veal was tough the prosciutto thick and even tougher. The sole was had too many capers and the veal was over seasoned with sage. Even with all the extra spices the food was bland. At more than $60 pp with one glass of wine this was an extremely disappointing experience.

Did not have a chance to taste the food. Entered the place just after six on a Monday. Was seated, but nobody came to take an order for 15 min. The place was almost empty. Got up and left..
Food was good. If I’m going to have a nice night out I’d rather have my waitperson pay attention to us rather than his phones. We probably would have spent another $100 on drinks and dessert if he wasn’t so focused on his phone. Have gone here for years but won’t be going back any time soon.

We had made a reservation a day before. We selected patio. Big mistake. They have no plan for rain. We were told that it wasn't expect to rain when seated. Service (waiter, food runners) were great dealing with us as we were the only ones outside. However by the time we ordered it was drizzling and when our food came it was raining. We were told we couldn't be accommodated inside, so we finished our dinner in the rain. Homemade spaghetti was good but portions were small and baby corn added nothing to the vegetarian dish.
