Well when I found a parking space directly in front of restaurant at 6:00PM on a Friday night, I should have been suspicious. I label this as another "Restaurant Wanna Be" . they think they are a good restaurant and certainly charge like it. the only issue is when you charge as good restaurants do, you must deliver and they do not. Bread (which was decent) served on a plate with a square cutout and MAYBE 1/8" of olive oil in it. We were a party of 4. It reminded me of the Seinfeld episode when George double dipped the chips. After 2 people dipped their bread there was no more oil. Very awkward presentation. Ordered Chix parm ($28) and learned no pasta served. Ordered a side and was nicely charged $7. So for $35 I was served the worst Chix parm I have every eaten and I have eatnen many Chix parms. I can guarantee this chicken was cooked earlier in the day and heated. It was cold, dry and the ends were very thin and dried up from being fried, not sauteed. Embarrassing. My wife had a Frutti Di Mare (another $35 dish) and only has shrimp and mussels in it. NEWSFLASH almost every other Italian restaurant has more seafood such as calamari, scallops, clams in it. And a total of 4 shrimp to top it off. Ordered Cannolis for dessert and I have no idea what they were filled with. I had to send back because flavor was so strange or possibly bad. i asked for 2 of their lemon cookies to replace the cannnoli's and they were delivered to adjoining table rather to me. By the time I got them my coffee was cold, so another disappointment. Now the icing on the cake they add a 4% "kitchen appreciation fee" to the check. Possibly if kitchen staff was paid appropriately you could serve better food and forgo having to ask customers to chip in.

I’ve been to this restaurant twice. Both times everyone in the group felt that the food was mediocre and overpriced.

Delicious food and great atmosphere and outstanding service. We were a party of four on a Sunday evening . Everything was good and we will return no doubt. Try the artichoke appetizer and eggplant parm.

This was a pretty disappointing experience. I had looked at the menu beforehand and everything sounded great, however I did notice that the prices were higher than most Boston area restaurants, including the North End. I had high expectations for the quality of food. Fast forward to receiving our food - I could tell just by the looks that most of it had been sitting out and would not be hot. At our table of 6, only one dish was hot. They took them back and reheated them (they didn't re-make, which was ok considering we had already waited a while. However given the price point, I'd maaaybe expect them to re-fire or to take a dish or two off the bill)I ordered the Spaghetti ai Frutti di Marre. On the Instagram it looked like a brothy safron-y yellow sauce, though when I got it, it was a red tomato-based sauce. This was also one of the menu items on the online menu without an image. I think that Instagram picture was from 2022, so not super recent, but given the modern times we are in, I'd expect the restaurant to update their photos if a menu item changes.I likely will not return given that I can find a better meal elsewhere for a more reasonable price with and better ambiance too, though I hope the restaurant takes this feedback to heart.

We went for dinner a few weeks ago on a Saturday night. Normally we would eat at the one in Belmont, but they didn't have availability. My family loves that one so we were really surprised at how terrible the Lexington outpost was. Most of us ordered pasta (flavorless and overpriced). One person in our party ordered the chicken and upon cutting into it, saw that it was raw. Worse, the restaurant compounded that serious mistake - which could have caused really bad food poisoning or worse - by making no gesture of goodwill. They could have comped the replacement dish, brought out wine, dessert, etc. It was late and we needed to leave, but also didn't see that it was on us to bring it up, and left. We'll be contacting management directly if they don't respond to this review.

I feel bad giving a poor review to a local restaurant but I concur with a lot of the other people: food is not up to par with prices (the worst in my opinion is the $18 calamari appetizer that contained at least 1/4 of fried lemon peels, yes, you read that right, you bite on a piece of "calamari" only to find out it's actually a lemon peel), service is slow (had to remind the waiter about the drinks order as we saw the drink poured and sitting on the bar), the atmosphere is nice enough, but overall we felt the prices were too steep for what we got.
