just went in there for a coffee and some treats for my kids. I ended up eating all the treats, so I'll have to go back later today.

Unfortunately we stopped in on Saturday and purchased an eclair, cream puff, carrot cake and assorted cookies. Eclair and cream puff were stale. Ended up throwing them away. Very disappointed as my wife and her family have been going here for years.

Been going here since childhood. The single best pastry I've had...the whipped cream/custard eclair! Great whipped cream, the eclair shell is perfect. Their strawberry whipped cream bday cake is light and fantastic. Yup sometimes the older ladies behind the counter are not full of sunshine...they are no-nonsense....who cares....I'm not going there for riveting conversation...want to get home to eat the eclair!

I go here twice a week and always enjoy the ladies working there. The food is good. Clean place and fast service. The staff has good candor and professionalism. I'm thankful to have the Lexington location and enjoying ordering pies and pastries for my friends too.

We ordered this cake for my son's 5th birthday! I let him decide the flavors of the cake and frosting, and the woman behind the counter was so patient and made his wishes come true! It was also sooo delicious and reasonably priced! We will definitely go back again!

I go to the Royal Pastry all the time for any occasion. Their cakes and pastries are decadently delicious and their cookies are too good to eat just one. Their strawberry square is my absolute favorite. The prices are exceptionally good, and the staff is always helpful and friendly.

We've gotten many Italian Rum cakes from Royal Bakery. They're always so moist and fresh and delicious. Would never go anywhere else for one

Pastry was good but there was a young girl there that was helping she was soooooooo RUDE. I wouldn't go back here because no need to give business where people working there have no social skills

Grouchy woman at pickup for a $40.00 rum cake ( the smallest size) didn't offer a look at it before sealing it with twine as they always did in past, order was wrong, and the cake layers inside were not even, making the overall taste. Won't be ordering again.

If it's not broke don't fix it. Who in the world thought it was a good idea to put a pastry bottom on cheesecake versus graham cracker? I don't want dough on the bottom of my cheesecake. Take a biscuit, open it, and stuff it with cheesecake filling. Not good. It does not mesh in my mouth either. If it was good, I wouldn't complain... But it wasn't. Feta pastry could have used a bit more flavor, but it wasn't bad. Lemon cake... Was ok. Young ladies at the front counter were great. On to the next bakery...

Excellent place to stop in for a wide variety of Italian pastries without having to travel into the city. This time I ordered an Italian, rum-soaked birthday cake. It was delicious. I called on a Tuesday for a Friday noon pickup. It was ready on time and was exactly like I remembered from my youth-- rum soaked yellow sponge with two layers of custard, a layer of strawberries, and frosted with real whipped cream. For $44, I think it was well priced. I found the service very pleasant. I do wish they'd beef up their digital/online presence-- I'm not even sure they have a working website. Would be nice to be able to order online and I'd hate to see this place go out of business because they didn't modernize.

I went into this shop on a Thursday around 5:15. The girl working was very unfriendly. She asked, "what do you want" just like that. I asked for 2 pastries. I said could I have powdered sugar on them. She took from the back of the tray so I could not see if the sugar was on there. So, I asked, is there powdered sugar on them. She answered, if you asked for powdered sugar, you got powdered sugar. Then she put them in a bag. I asked could you put them in a small box? She angrily grabbed a box and proceeded to put the bag into the box. She was the rudest I have seen. The older brunette is super rude also. I will not tell the owner this, as I have complained before about stale pastries, and she denies that they are stale. Years ago, it was a good place, not anymore.

I have been a faithful patron of Royal Pastry shop since its location in Belmont center. I have referred countless friends and family to this staple institution in the area. Today I am sad to say was my last time in the the Lexington location as the customer service was a total turn off. the hours are clearly listed with a closing time of 6pm. I arrived from work at approximately 530 and the older brunette woman working behind the counter was less than pleasant stating "you know you should have called in advance!, people want to go home". she proceeded to take my order and attend to it and the. 2 more patrons walked in, she angrily stated "could one of you lock the door, I cannot help any more customers" now keeping in mind still before 6pm. She then finished with my order and I said thank you very much, she had the audacity to say "if you really want to thank me you can give a tip", which I already had done, tips should not be asked for eapecially for a negative experience. I paid for my order and left but very disappointed as much as the pastry is amazing the poor customer service is not worth revisiting this institution.
