Order at the kitchen and find a seat. On the Lexington Commons and statue. Good food and reasonable.

Been going here for years for breakfast- it’s reliably good, fast, and reasonably priced for breakfast. They are great for dinner as well

A fun local restaurant/café in the heart of Lexington, offering ample parking options (both street and municipal lot) and plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. The service is fantastic—friendly and welcoming. It's a great spot for coffee business meetings or casual get-togethers with friends. Highly recommend!

The food at this restaurant is tasty, but unfortunately, the overall experience was entirely overshadowed by the unfriendly service my group received.

From the moment we walked in for breakfast, we felt rushed and unwelcome, almost as if we were an inconvenience to the two staff members working just for being there. There was no greeting or response to the "good morning" we offered.

We mentioned that it was our first time visiting and took a minute to look over the menu before ordering—something we didn’t think would be an issue, given that there were no other customers waiting in line at the time. Despite this, we were met with impatience and irritation.

In contrast, we noticed that the group in business attire who arrived after us received a much warmer reception, which left us feeling confused and disappointed.

While the food was served quickly and tasted good, the selectively unfriendly service left such a sour taste that it makes it an impossibility we’ll be coming back for another meal.

Via Lago is my favorite place in Lexington to eat breakfast , lunch and dinner. My husband and I eat breakfast or just sit for coffee on a daily basis. Not only does it have the best breakfast in town but we enjoy the friendly exchange with the morning staff.

Lunch and dinner provides the same feeling of great food and service. The dinner menu always has specials that we have enjoyed trying.

I highly recommend Via Lago to anyone who wants to experience inside or outside dining with a great menu, good pricing, and the friendliest staff who caters to all your needs whether you come for breakfast , lunch or dinner.

Amazing selection of food for all meals. Hard to tell when service is from the cafe or at table if you haven't been before, but always friendly !!

I ordered a cod dish and it was terrible. It was so tough I couldn’t pull it apart. All I got was an I’m sorry after picking it up to show my waitress that I couldn’t pull it apart. Not ever going back

Living in Lexington we naturally have tried most surrounding restaurants. We LOVE Via Lago. It is not noisy. The food tastes very delicious similar to restaurants in New York City. Honestly…The atmosphere is calm, beautiful, with many seating areas. Prices are below other local restaurants. We are going again next week..I can hardly wait.

Parking: Big lot 1 minute off side door.

Wheelchair accessibility: YES… MY HUSBAND HAS TO BRING HIS WALKER.

Kitchen forgot my order after 40 minutes. Owner didn’t want to take it off the bill (which she can only do). They made small talk with several tables around me, but stayed clear of me. Too many choices that care about their patrons.

Walked in with three adults and three children. They said our party was too big to be sat. Not because it was busy or anything, it was empty. We were told that there were only two servers and they couldn’t overwhelm them. I used to be a restaurant manager and I’ve never heard such a thing in my life lmao. If you’re from out of town, I wouldn’t recommend this amateur spot

Nice menu, food was good. We went on a night before a show at Cary Hall, so the restaurant was quite busy, but they made sure everyone was served in time for the show. We'd definitely go back next time we're going to a show there.
