Great Road Kitchen is a trendy place with a classy ambiance. They offer a nice selection of fresh oysters, with delicious Canadian ones on the shell, though some visits they are milder than expected. The cod with panko crust was nicely prepared and presented, a real treat, and the halibut special was excellent. The Clam Chowder was tasty but could have used more clams for the price. The salad and cod dishes were delicious, and the cheesecake was out of this world. The mushroom arancini as a special appetizer were superb. However, the chicken pot pie was a major letdown, with hardly any chicken and an excess of potatoes. Despite this disappointing dish, the overall experience was good. The service can be slow at times, and seating near the bar area may not be ideal, but the restaurant seems to attract a trendy crowd. The menu is limited, but the specials often shine.
