Nice classic Greek restaurant. Went for lunch and got the gyro & egg soup. Comforting, filling, and delish!
Wonderful! The band was great too. Ooopa!
Haven’t been here for 20 years and wanted to try it again. Wonderful experience. Friendly staff and Gino our server was great. Food was excellent .Mom and I each had the lamb garnish -highly recommend. Definitely coming back.
I grew up in a Greek neighborhood. I love Greek food. This was so disappointing. If you have been to Greece or love Greek food this is not for you. Old decor. The Avgolemono was salty. The Moussaka and Pastitsio were flooded in same heavy sauce and tasted the same. The baklava was soggy. And the Greek coffee was weak. Tragic
Great restaurant for greek food and even better with Jasmine serving us! She helped us to get the best dish for the night and was checking up on us throughout the service. Hope to see you again Jasmine, thanks for making the night better!
I had this yesterday and I wish I can get a refunded my Entree, it was a bit cold , really salty I got so sick I think I have food poisoning 🤢🤮 if I had it my way I would put zero stars
The salad dressing was good, but the salad was UNinspired and largely light green iceberg lettuce. My husband's cup of soup had little taste, took 1/2 hour to arrive, and was warm (not hot); moreover we were charged $7.00 instead of $3.00 (since it came as an extra side to his entree). My mom and I ordered moussaka -- which wasn't very flavorful, AND while the eggplant and chopped meat were somewhat warm, the potato topping which was the biggest part of the dish was cold. The lima beans and rice were room temp at best. The spinach pie was lacking in amount of both filling and flavor, and the phyllo was soggy; and nothing was hot -- all despite how long it took to arrive. My husband had the pastitio, which he finished because he was hungry -- but his dish was also not served hot and he didn't particularly like it. We were however given a break in the price. Sadly, the waitress brought our food, asked it we wanted something else, but then never returned until we waited and waited for the check.
Inedible gyros—dried out, cold, and tough. So disappointing, particularly given the 4 star average. The app of tzatziki and warm pita was delicious.
This restaurant has fantastic traditional Greek food and a very welcoming atmosphere. The only question we had as we left was why had it been so long between visits!?

Being in Lowell for 38 years now I don't often get homesick for New York. But every trip to the Athenian Corner brings me back to the Greek restaurant in my childhood neighborhood with the best Moussaka, Spinach Pie, Greek salads...the music, the people, the belly dancing! So authentic and so good!

We recently had the pleasure of hosting a memorial dinner for our mother at Athenian Corner, and the experience was truly exceptional. The staff were attentive and courteous, and the food was of the highest quality. The haddock, broiled potatoes, rice, and green beans were all cooked to perfection and served hot. We appreciate the effort put into making this event memorable. Highly recommended!

Have had different types of lamb here, all delicious. All staff is friendly and attentive, even if they are not your immediate server. Decor is enjoyable to look at especially the portraits of Greece. Bathroom is upstairs, not handicap accessible.

The Athenian Corner is an excellent Greek lunchtime restaurant near several history museums in downtown Lowell. I had the luncheon special with lentil soup, chicken souvlaki (very tender), & chocolate cake. All were delicious; and service was prompt on a slow weekday. A good choice if you like Greek cuisine.
