Abysmal service, meh food. We arrived around 1:45 on Sunday afternoon. When the hostess acknowledged us, she said the restaurant was fully booked and suggested that we sit in the Tavern. There were no seats, but after a few minutes a party left, and a server cleared the dishes off of the table and said she'd be right back to wipe it down. Another patron brought us a menu when she want to grab one for herself. After about 10 minutes a person I assume was the manager (not dressed in black) asked if anyone was helping us, and when we said no, took our orders (and asked the server clearing the next table to wipe ours off). We waited probably another 10 minutes before the bartender stopped by to say they were out of the ingredients to make a Phony Negroni, and took a replacement order. We waited a good 10 minutes after that for our drinks. We finally got our food at 2:35, and it was lukewarm. My partner's steak was undercooked for medium. The hash was super weird - like deli sliced corned beef instead of cubed, and not many potatoes - but tasty enough. We finished our food and had to hunt down staff to pay our bill so we could get to our event. There seemed to be 3-4 servers wandering in and out, but often there would be nobody in the Tavern area for an extended period of time. Also, when I walked by the dining room on my way to the restroom, it was mostly empty. I really can't fathom why service was so ridiculously slow with so many apparent staff. We've been before and had good experiences, but we won't be back. Pity, as the location is super convenient for events at the Tsongas Center.

Good food. I consider fish'n'chips to be a test if a restaurant's capabilites. It was good fish, tasty, but it should have been in the deep fryer, just a but longer - the breading was still doughy on the underside, not great, but avoidable one you knew it.The server was quickly responsive to one member of our party of 7. But once she'd taken care of that (minor) complaint, she simply turned away from the table, where two other people had other equally minor needs. TIP: ALWAYS look at the rest of the table to check if everything is okay.If we are in Lowell again, which is probable, I would happily return, as the atmosphere, >noise level<, and other attention was more up to expectations.Dietary restrictions: One member of our party has allergies, which were satisfactorily handled.

I took my granddaughter to Cobblestones for lunch on a Sat. She had the children’s Mac and cheese. It was such a disappointment for a Mac and cheese lover. There was very little grated cheese. The waiter brought us more upon request but the macaroni was so dry it was not edible. My burger was disappointing. There was one small pickle slice and I couldn’t find the onion. A pleasant atmosphere but a disappointing lunch.

I came here with my boyfriend for the first time and the food was amazing. The buffalo chicken tenders were moist yet crispy and the sauce was absolutely delicious. The haddock was the best haddock I ever had and the pudding cake was to die for! An amazing dessert to top off an amazing dinner. The atmosphere was warm, cozy and so relaxing. One of the best, enjoyable dinner outings I had in a while. My boyfriend can attest that I could not stop talking about the food for hours. It made my night LOL. I couldn't believe I never tried this gem of a place sooner. Highly recommend! I will FOR SURE come back!? ? ? ? ?

Went for Sunday Brunch. Food was excellent. Really crowded. Too long of a wait in the dining room ended up sitting in the Bar area. Service was slow. Once we got our food it disappeared.

Got an early rez for Valentine’s Day before the PWHL Game, primarily because it’s close to Tsongas. What a great decision! The historic building is very cool, and done well — keeping the old time feel but not too cramped or stuffy. Cocktails were on point, service was first class (shoutout to Courtney and thanks for the spot on recommendations!), and the food well-exceeded expectations. I was skeptical about the “World’s best” Buffalo tenders appetizer (married an Upstate girl… we have high Buffalo-thing standards) but they were as advertised… inexplicably good. Somehow light and almost airy but just crispy enough, with just the right amount of Buffalo sauce, which was authentic Frank’s Red Hot and butter… no unnecessary messing around trying to improve on the classic. They were perfect. Fried cauliflower was also great but the star was a bacon-wrapped meatloaf special that might be one of the best dishes I’ve ever had, anywhere. If there’s any potential for improvement I’d say the wine list was a tad underwhelming. There were some interesting choices but the cocktails were so good we opted for another round rather than wine anyway so I can’t really knock it since we didn’t try any wines. Great dinner. Five stars all around.

35 teachers and I had dinner at cobblestones before a recent comedy show at the auditorium. I worked with the manager Robin to secure a private room for us, and to pre-order all of our dinners. Robin was so responsive to any, and all questions I had. The waitstaff was amazing and we all had a great night.
