Every time I come to Coffee and Cotton I get more and more let down. The lack of both consistency and comprehensive training across their staff is very apparent, it brings down the vibe while driving up wait times. Especially given the wild cost ($8 for a single latte) I would enjoy to have higher quality and service. I have such a strong connection to this place, having come since I was a teenager and being a Lowell native. I hope to see them make a turnaround sometime soon, and to really invest in such a great space.

Really want to like this place, the coffee is good. Love supporting an independent coffee shop but have given them many tries and have never really had a good experience. The atmosphere is really nice but the service and food are just not that good. One time my girlfriend and I stood there waiting for a few minutes while the guy at the counter actively ignored us, we checked the time and they weren’t close to closing or anything. The whole interaction was pretty awkward and he ended getting our order wrong which we didn’t say anything because we just wanted to leave at that point. Every time I go there I make sure to ask for the food to go, they always give it to me on a plate. Have been given a weird attitude a few times when asking for a box. In summary, I don’t really ever leave reviews let alone bad ones, but I don’t think I would recommend this place if someone asked about it.

The barista was very rude to my partner and he even started making fun of her order in a non playful way. The whole time he was condescending. The drink he made for her was watered down. He definitely ruined our day.

This cafe in Mill No. 5 is awesome, I went there for the first time a week ago. The girl that was working the register was super nice, I ordered a BLT which came out so quick. Simple sandwich, but it was absolutely delicious! They use some aioli instead of mayo and it was divine. There’s big tables you can sit at and even a small back room, I noticed a lot of people were on their laptops doing work. There’s a small bookshelf in the back of the cafe, and I really liked the overall vibe in there!

Stopped in and got a beer and my partner got a honey lavender latte. Both were delicious!

A true community coffee shop with excellent food, drink, service, and ambiance. Looking forward to our next visit, whether day or night

Has a large seating area, coffees, sandwiches, pasteries, ect

Vegetarian options: Some options for vegetarians but meat-free food is not the focus

Kid-friendliness: There are some board games in one of the rooms connected to the cafe to keep kids entertained

I am giving a one star review only because I can't give a zero. I am in all for independent coffee shops but they took twenty minutes two lemonades and two cinnamon buns - not heated. They ran out of the flavor of lemonade we ordered, then they ran out of lemonade all together. Then the server threw US attitude for being frustrated with the wait and the mess up. I do not recommend.

Cafe has a large area, good for working in but gets loud at times. Also good for meeting up with people.Really good sandwiches, and a wide drink selection of coffee, tea, kombucha, and pastries!
