I really don’t want to complaint’s since we’re Asian and wanted to give them couple chances! I agree the food is good when I’ve eaten in. Then when I started ordering out the same foods it’s not the same!! Over and over again!! The gross flavors is the banana chips which used in generations oils! Disgusting!! You want to save money! But I’m paying for disgusting flavor! No more support from me!!

The food was really good. I could use a little less salt but besides that, it was amazing. I am not even sure if I tried laos food or Thai but it was so tasty. I can't want to go back again.

Truly an authentic place for Southeast asian food. Ive been to southeast asia and had dishes here that are better than over there. Maybe even going as far as saying dishes in their home countries can be outdone elsewhere.

I got the Thai Boat Noodle and let me say it 100% is my favorite noodle dish. First time I got it I was hooked from the first sip of the broth. Probably got it 5 or 6 times since discovering this place a couple weeks ago. Spicy, aromatic, rich and savery. A seriously perfect balance of everything. If you can handle your heat this should be your go to. The wings I also got were both juicy and crispy. Moderately breaded and packed full of flavor. Not too greasy either.

I can't recommend this place enough. Probably one of the best restaurants in lowell. I know I'll continue to be coming here regularly.

I usually come here a lot with my family, we always have a good time, but today was different. I was served by a lady that I’ve never been served before, I wish I got her name because I don’t want to make the restaurant look bad. But I still wanted to call out the service of this particular staff member. I came in to order my usual, which was a spring roll, and right there and then she gave me attitude because I wasn’t specific. Then my mom wanted to order food and a drink, and she said she would be back, but instead went to go have a conversation with her friend and never came back for our order. We had to take the food to go instead for my mom, basically ignored us the whole time, but I still have a good tip nonetheless.

Service can be slow when it’s a hole in the wall authentic restaurant.

I’ve been to this place many times and the service is never great, although the food is good and authentic. This time the service was horrible and the owners were just plain rude!

This is the last time for me and I would not suggest going here unless you want to be sitting around for a long time to order and our food was skipped over because the owners friends showed. My son didn’t get his food and they didn’t make 2 dishes because they were busy tending to their friends. While the owners friend’s food came shortly after some of our dishes arrived.

I could understand if they didn’t get it in, but we cancelled a dish and was still charged for it. I had to ask them to remove it.

Don’t go here unless you have a lot of time to wait and be skipped over!

I don’t write reviews but this visit warrants one.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this Lao–Thai restaurant! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm smile and an inviting aroma that instantly makes you feel at home. The atmosphere is cozy yet vibrant, perfect for a casual lunch or a relaxed dinner with friends and family.

The food is nothing short of amazing — bursting with authentic flavors and made with so much care. The Lao specialties are a delightful surprise, rich in herbs and spices, and perfectly balanced in taste. The Thai dishes are equally impressive, from the fresh and tangy papaya salad to the comforting, fragrant curries. Every bite tastes fresh, homemade, and full of love.

Service is top-notch! The staff is friendly, attentive, and always ready to recommend their personal favorites. You can tell they genuinely care about your experience. The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the quality is exceptional.

If you’re craving bold flavors, fresh ingredients, and a truly authentic Lao–Thai dining experience, this place is a must-visit. It’s the kind of restaurant you’ll want to return to again and again — and bring all your friends along!

I really wanted to like this place, but it was a big letdown. The first visit, they served raw chicken which is a serious health hazard. Gave them a second chance, and this time the chicken was completely burnt.

Quick look at their past reviews shows this isn’t the first time people have had issues with undercooked or overcooked food. Definitely not the best Asian restaurant around. Disappointed and won’t be returning.

Laos Thai Kitchen in downtown Lowell is an outstanding choice for the tastiest and spiciest of southeastern Asian cuisine you can handle; or not- you can have it anyway you wish. I just know that my face was melting, and it was awesome. Heat is typically measured here on a scale of 1 - 6, and I ordered my Boat Noodle Soup (which would still have been tasty delicious without) at level 4. They’ll go higher if you want, but you would probably need Lao blood in your system to deal with that. I also very much enjoyed the Sai Oua, aka Thai Sausage. Service is very friendly, and everything came to me in a timely manner. Very much recommended.

Authentic Thai & Lao Gem in Lowell

While visiting family in Lowell, we stumbled upon this hidden gem, family run spot serving up authentic Thai and Lao cuisine. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed. Lana, our server, was incredibly friendly and attentive, offering great recommendations from the menu and sharing some local favorites.

The food came out quickly and every dish was packed with flavor, vibrant, and clearly made with care. We enjoyed it so much, we ended up coming back again before the end of our trip just to try more of what we missed the first time.

If you're looking for traditional Southeast Asian flavors in a warm, down to earth setting, this place is a must visit.

They added $5.00 tip without my permission to my takeout order. When she printed my receipt to sign, it ran out of paper. So I had to hand write my total and name on a post-it. Since I was in a rush, and there was no tip field (being a random bit of paper) I did not approve a tip. My transaction pended for the correct amount, and then posted at exactly a $5.00 increase. The food is good, but I will NEVER be back. I would have paid it forward the next time I was there, but to take money from someone’s account without permission is awful, and THEFT. People should be worried about their cc transactions and data. That is NOT ok.

I stumbled upon this restaurant a few weeks ago and I am glad I did! Food was delicious! Their food is so flavorful and authentic. The beef larb was by far the best I have had ever since I started eating ThƔi food(maybe 20 years ago)! The decor is very much typical of a moms and pops restaurant; nothing fancy. I had the larb and tom yum soup. Yesterday I was going to bring my whole family there but time didn't permit. Hoping to go this weekend.

I've been a loyal customer of Laos Thai Kitchen for a while and have always enjoyed their food. Unfortunately, my recent experience was disappointing. I ordered the Sai Oua (Thai sausage) to-go, and when I opened it, I found that it was uncooked and not safe to eat. This is completely unacceptable, especially after so many positive experiences. I hope this issue is addressed because I’ve always enjoyed their food but this kind of oversight can’t happen again.
