Decent option for large portion lunch specials.
Been in Lowell quite a bit lately and stopped by twice to try their lunch specials. Both times, I was the only person dining in, though there were a few takeout orders going out. The owner was super friendly and while the restaurant seemed like a single man operation, everything came out quick.
The food. The portions for most dishes were easily double what I’d expected from a typical appetizer/ lunch specials. Unfortunately, the overall quality was subpar. Some small plates, like the spare ribs, were clearly reheated in the microwave, and the excess moisture from the thawing process was clearly visible on the bottom of the plate. General Tso’s chicken had thick and soggy breading and very little meat, which made it a carb-heavy bite. Since it had been fried and frozen beforehand, it tasted almost identical to one of those frozen Chinese chicken plates from grocery stores. Thankfully, the pork belly dishes held better even after freezing. Both the garlic chili pork belly and the double cooked pork belly were genuinely enjoyable.
Overall, better than food-court Chinese, but not quite on par with average Boston Chinese restaurants. Lowell’s Chinese food scene is pretty underwhelming, so it might be worth a stop if you’re looking for an inexpensive yet filling meal.

Don't understand the great reviews of this place. Chicken fingers and crab rangoon were cooked to death. Inedible to say the least. Pork belly dish was disgusting. Like eating little pieces of leather. Dan Dan noodles were just OK. The only dish I liked was the chicken wings.

Best Chinese food I’ve had in a long time. Will be bringing my parents back here in a week!
Family style authentic Chinese dishes. Great value. The deep-fried whole fish with sweet-and-sour source was really good. Also ordered the pork knuckle.
This place is one of the best authentic Chinese food places in Lowell. They have a variety of food options, the owner works very hard and is very kind. 10/10 will be back.
Amazing food, we got the double cooked pork belly which I could eat every day and not get sick of. The beef noodle soup with handmade noodles was also very very good. Will definitely be back!
my favorite chinese food in lowell easily, super friendly owner, always very quiet and lowkey environment, and a fantastic and option rich menu! our personal favorites were the Mapo Tofu, the bamboo shoot salad and the spicy pork pancake but there are so many more delicious entrees its hard to choose.

FABULOUS soups! Owner is very friendly and the tea was super smooth and tasty--his own personal blend, he said!
We tried the Beef noodle soup (amazing) and the spicy shredded pork soup (delicious!). Generous portions, quick service, and really, REALLY good food! We'll be back!
Great restaurant with plenty of seating and delicious food/service. Great price, good portions, excellent experience.
Spicy minced pork noodle soup - flat noodles in a dark broth with spicy minced pork; delicious, savory, and a good portion. I wish it could've had more heat.
Spicy dry fish filet - Crispy, spicy, and plenty. I'm used to the Xiang La fish from other restaurants but this dish (for the price) takes the cake.
Chicken wings - Crispy and good, just basic fried wings (not breaded).
Dan dan noodles - thick noodles in a spicy sauce with minced pork(?); tasty, spicy and the peppercorns usually leave a lingering aftertaste but this dish fortunately did not!
We will be returning to this restaurant. The owner is very kind and engaging, which is nice to see nowadays.
Free parking lot in the back and it is located in a rough part of Lowell, so you know it's legit.
Tasty really good beyond what I thought a neighbor Chinese restaurant would offer!
Hands down the best Szechuan food outside of Boston, throughout New England. The portion sizes are excellent, very authentic, shareable dishes, inviting atmosphere, very prompt and helpful service!
I had a simple meal if hot & sour soup with Crab Rangoons. The Rangoon were very delightful & crispy & not oily at all! The soup was also delicious, could use a little more spice.
