Yummy Asian cuisine
Hands down one of the best restaurants in Mass. It has been a staple restaurant in my family for +15 years. I would consider this a must try for anybody.
This food is so amazing. My wife ordered a plate of the Beef Lok Lak and I immediately ordered another right after her. You really just have to try it, pictures don’t do justice. I also ordered the spicy wings they were amazing. Good portion, great quality and fresh! I would have shared photos, but I ate through everything already. 😂
I was excited to try out this place after I read that this restaurant was a James Beard semi-finalist. I'm just shocked that a restaurant outside of Boston (and nearby towns) actually got some recognition. And I mean this in a nice way - I hate that everything is only in Boston!
I was in town for a Showcase Cinemas showing, and it felt like a perfect opportunity to finally come here. This restaurant was easily accessible off of Exit 89B on in I-495, and then Exit 5B shortly after. Parking feels a little limited with only about 13 spots shared between the several businesses here. I manage to grab one just as someone was leaving.
The restaurant interior felt like a typical hole-in-the-wall Chinese place (okay, I know it's Cambodian). Nothing to write home about. There was plenty of seating available I arrived, and I was sat at a double-booth table.
The menu is large and fairly overwhelming, but there are enough pictures for you to point at something that looks good. I was already prepared before arriving here and I knew I had to try the Beef Loc Lac. These seem like steak tips. Small chunks of beef, with a sweet glaze. Delicious. It came with the ubiquitous bowl of rice, and a dipping sauce I was not a fan of. It was very sour which felt like an odd pairing, but that might just be my unfamiliarity with the cuisine's flavor profiles.
I mistakenly ordered the fried chicken wings thinking I would be hungry to eat two different dishes. When they arrived, I was already full from the Beef Loc Lac. Oh boy, these wings were deeply crunchy! I didn't detect any notable seasoning, but they were very good plain wings.
Overall, I enjoyed my food and hope to come back here again to try out more stuff.
Prices are up and portions are way smaller than the past. Seems like low quality ingredients used given the taste of the broths and execution. Sadly, this place is a Lowell staple that has gone way down the drain.
VERY tasty at reasonable prices, at least the coconut soup if. Just be ready if you come that service might be a little slow :).
This place is wonderful. It is the most authentic Cambodian food I’ve found in the U.S. As someone who regularly travels to Cambodia, I love Khmer food and culture. And this place is exactly that, authentic Khmer food and culture. The food is delicious and there is so much variety. I highly highly recommend the beef loc lac, so delicious (maybe even a little more than the ones I’ve had in Phnom Penh). I love Cambodia town and I would say Red Rose is the heart of it. Thank you for the great meal and service.

This place does not have the same flavor as it did ten years ago. These are different owners and apparently a change in chef as well. All my favorites (fried rice, beef loc lac, pad thai..) are not the same anymore. Completely different recipe. They tried, but they cannot/did not duplicate the original Red Rose flavors that I've loved in the past. The name stayed the same but this is not the same Red Rose, sadly..

The atmosphere was a bit dated and run down but that's ok.
The service was friendly, and the food was decent but sanitation or hygiene of the place is questionable. There was an insect in a drink and there were flies. I think I may try a couple other places but this place isn't bad.

Restaurantji Recommends
Wanted to try for the first time after many recommendations. Went in, took 10 minutes to get menus. Waited another 20 to give our order. No one ever came to take order, so we left. They weren't busy at all either. Made no sense, but oh well. Too many other good places close by to put up with this service.

While I living in Lowell I was irregular at this restaurant. Prices were fair. Everything has always been delicious and the service is good. This year I recently visited while visiting family and a few things went wrong. There’s a warning on the menu letting you know that the prices you see may not be what it is, but it’s the waiters duty to let you know of the prices that have changed on the menu we were looking at today. Everything was delicious, but being guided by the prices that I seen after reading that label thinking those were the correct ones I comfortably ordered. 10+ years coming here and I felt robbed. Felt like Boston due to the price of the fried squid, not fried calamari but fried squid. $28 in case you are wondering. Long story short be very careful when ordering at this restaurant because the prices you see regardless of the warning and the waiter knowing of the price difference and not informing you of it, you will end up losing up to triple of what you might predict. The food is phenomenal, but be ready to spend three dollar signs or more in this place if you’re not careful

My uncle took us here for breakfast before our flight back home to long beach. Long Beach had the highest population of cambodians outside of cambodian. Lowell being the 2nd highest. We have so many good cambodian restaurants in long Beach. I was skeptical on how good this place would be but it was very delicious. I ordered the special mee katang or special chow fun. My youngest brother got the special lowt cha. My other brother got the phnom Penh noodle soup for him and his son to share. You can see how good it was from my nephews reaction. He wasn't eating well but really enjoyed the noodles. My mee katang was good but not the best I had. I highly recommend this place if you are craving cambodian food.
