Honestly don’t know how this place has good reviews. Went with a couple friends after hearing about it from food critics raving about the pizza but was severely disappointed. The pizza tasted the same as the ones you get frozen from the store….we got the Monte’s special pie which consisted of “salami” which was basically canned ham cubes. That same night all of us got sick and started feeling nauseous, I ended up throwing up at 1am. Never again omg

A classic. Super unique crust and flavor. The sweet cherry pepper is the secret best topping. Cheese pizza can be a little plain so get a topping or add a lot of parm and red pepper

This was cash only and the pizza was okay ($11 for a small pizza). It seemed like it was made in a pan based on the indent on the bottom and there wasn't much char. Overall I'd say the pizza was okay not great and the place was also mostly empty when going there. It's not a bad place however I don't think that it is the best pizza I have ever had before.

Came to try the pizza that a friend recommended & braggs on. Not a big establishment, I love pizza so why not try something different while visiting. For starters the salad was basic nothing spcial. It looked like it came straight out the bag and one plum tomato and couple rings of onion. The homemade dressing was flavorless & wattered down. Tried the moscow mule, it was not good at all! Tried the captain morgan with diet coke tasted better than the first drink. For food I ordered a pepperoni and cheese pizza with extra pizza sauce. I wanted to add mushrooms but they use canned vs fresh. My friend ordered the veal parmasean with spaghetti noodles. When the pizza arrived, the crust was near burnt. The sauce didn't really have a flavor. The ingredients didn't taste fresh, more on the cheap side. Therefore, it tasted really cheap. Overall, it was edible not the best pizza. I've had way better at other establishments in Boston. This would not be my first choice in the future. Save your money and time. The waitress barely checked on us once. She was stand-offish, it wasn't busy at all so there's no excuse.

Favorite thin crust bar pizza! Prices are unbelievable. Staff is always attentive. Parking lot which is a plus but we always park on the street because it does get tight in there when they get busy. Extra cheese pizza cooked well done and side salad with the house dressing with a little black pepper is a game changer. Mozzarella sticks are good too.

Lynn, Lynn the city of sin, also home to the most mediocre pizza I’ve ever had. I went to Monte’s for pickup where you have to pay with cash. They also added extra fees, that’s a sin of its own (Hebrews 13:5). After one slice I felt bad for recommending this restaurant. Also, Lynn on its own is a very dirty city what my dad calls it a s***hole. It had a terrible aftertaste that I’m still tasting today and it’s been almost two days, and I’m sick. The pizza tasted nothing even sensing a 10 more of a zero. Just terrible, it was so terrible that I apologized to my dad for coming here. So, if you think about coming because of Dave Portnoy’s 10/10 pizza review, it’s a lie which is a sin. #RerankItPortnoy
Made an order from Montes and had it delivered by DoorDash. Montes sent the wrong pizza. We called and they said they would make the correct pizza but we’d have to come pick it up or pay DoorDash a second time to deliver the correct pizza. So they make an error (it happens) but I must either go out in the rain for 45 minutes (which is why I paid for delivery in the first place) or pay a second time to correct their mistake. I asked the server if that was their policy and she said “oh it’s not a policy it’s just how we do it.” Sounds like policy to me. So we called and said we’d drive in to get the correct pizza, they hadn’t even started it by the time I arrived. This is a horrible policy that could easily have been corrected but instead makes me not want to go there ever again.

Had to come & try out the home of 10/10 pizza. Good service, good server & no complaints. Parking was adequate, 12 & change for bar pizza & a soda.

Dave P was definitely trolling us, or he has shared interest in this establishment, considering his hometown is just a stone's throw away. The pizza was decent, but definitely nothing above an 8. The house dressing and service were incredible. I would have given it a 5-star rating if Mr. Portnoy Pizaa didn't set the bar at an unrealistic level.

It was busy, so the service was a little slow. Totally understandable! The maranaria that is homemade......... I wanted to bottle that stuff and bring it home. I had to be kid friendly there because it was so good.
