I have not been to Blue Ox in maybe 7-8 years? I hosted a small, intimate event there today. The food was amazing as I remember it 8 years ago. The staff was very accommodating, patient, and professional. Joe, the general manager was FANTASTIC. He made sure every detail was taken care of and was at the event to make sure everything went smoothly.
The venue is clean, modern, and can match any decor style.
I would recommend Blue Ox over and over and over again for your event needs as well as your dining needs.

Tried this place on a whim. Just awesome. The food was really really good. The chowder is off the charts and the rest of the dishes we got were very well made and delicious. Place was clean and had a good vibe. Waitress was great and the people that sat us and bused the tables were attentive and did a great job. If I had one negative it would be that the tables for 2 are really small. Like hard to fit your drink and plate on the table at the same time small.. but I get it and it’s a small place so you work with what you have. We would definitely go back!

This place is awesome. Great vibes and great food. Our server Nate was wonderful; very engaging. He said it was his first day but he was on point with everything. The food was amazing. We left so full and I still couldn't wait to eat my leftovers. Just 10 out of 10 all around.

Delicious dinner celebrating our anniversary last night! Food and service was wonderful - shout out to Marjorie our server!! We use to eat here regularly until it sold several years ago and heard it wasn’t as good! So happy we gave it a try - best cosmopolitan I’ve had in a very long time! I had the crispy chicken and my husband had the shrimp scampi - both delicious! Maple butter served with the warm bread simply yummy ? There was a filet special that looked amazing! We will be back!! Already planning what i will try next time - sticky toffee pudding is on my list!!

I frequent this restaurant with several groups of friends and family members. The food is consistently great, even though the menu rarely changes but for a few seasonal items. The thing is, they do everything really well. My favorites are the clam chowder, wings, mezze platter, mussels, Caesar salad, rigatoni Bolognese, sin burger, hanger steak, and I always get the sticky toffee pudding. My bestie swears by the tartare app and the pork chop.
I don’t want to tell you about 5 under 5 at Blue Ox Sunday through Thursday from 4to5 because I don’t want it to get more popular.

I want to specifically commend that staff that was working on June 30 as it was especially busy due to nearby concert. Everyone seemed slammed, yet they were all extremely pleasant, professional, and calm within the chaos. Excellent communication on timing and expected delays. Food was delicious and we look forward to coming back again and sampling more food in less of a rush.
