Staying in Manchester by the Sea for a couple of days, and made dinner reservations at 35 Beach. It did not disappoint. The food and service was phenomenal. Great ambiance, and even got a visit from the owner, Matthew Cain.

Really cute, good food (had beet salad, the scallops and the haddock. So yum) and good drink options. Wait staff very nice. Went here after singing beach for a photoshoot

Very cute restaurant with fresh, delicious food. Kind service, nice interior and surprisingly good sorbet!

We arrived at 6:15 pm and were seated at an intimate table by the window in the corner, (only 2 other tables that were seated when we arrived)within 15 minutes the place was packed & waited 15 minutes just to get our drinks... the intimate setting turned very loud quickly. We were boxed in & our server had to pass our meals and drinks between 2 other tables to serve us. The Japanese BBQ chicken and Asian salad were both excellent!
We stopped for an early meal which was delightful. The mussels and side salad were perfect. The fish and chips were tender and delicious. It would be interesting to have a full entree as our selections were pretty good. I didn’t like sitting at a table so close to another table but there were other options.

Lovely place with tasty food and a couple unusual things on the menu. Server was a really nice guy. They were attentive and timed the courses for us. We made reservations for an early dinner on a Wednesday night - and I was glad we did because we were dining utterly alone in the restaurant for at least 90 minutes. Great spot in the middle of town with lots to see from the windows, like the commuter rail dropping people off or picking people up from the beach that no one is allowed to park at.
Parking: Don't try to park near the restaurant. Take the first parking spaces you can and then walk to the middle of town.

We found this place online and came for a Sunday night dinner. We absolutely loved everything about it - from a clean modern decore to an amazing food. Burrata Caprese was our favorite, but everything we ordered was freshly made and delicious, and the staff was very attentive, friendly and efficient. Will definitely come back, it’s worth a drive to the North Shore!

Food is well prepared. The actual menu and the website is a bit different. Understandable but annoying. Brunch menu is somewhat limited compared to others. It's more of a lunch menu with some breakfast items. We had the corner table right by the window which is amazing. I'd recommend requesting it if possible. Haven't tried dinner. But seeing the lunch prep. My instinct is that it will be great.
I’m gonna put it simply, restaurants like 35 Beach make our lives better. This place is an oasis among all the mediocre and expensive food option along the North Shore. An immaculate restaurant, with delicious food and welcoming staff. It never disappoints, thank you!

Will definitely return. Friendly staff and service all around - hostess, bar tender and waiter. Delicious specialty drinks, appetizers and main course: mussels, seafood soup special, surf and turf and bolognese (add a burrata ball!)
We have dined at 35 Beach several times, and it just gets better and better. The service is outstanding and the food extremely good. Everything is freshly prepared. The cocktails are well done too. Highly recommend.
Early dinner. Ordered fish and chips and mussels to share for 2. Poor quality pre frozen fish and French fries. Mussels were in white sauce, some were not clean and there wasn't enough sauce. Grilled bread was odd, and the coke slaw was purple cabbage, but bland. Few beer choices. Kitchen/bar noise was significant.
35 Beach is worth a visit! In the old Beach Street location in Manchester-by-the-Sea. New owners completely remodeled inside, and it is fresh and welcoming. Food and service are excellent! I had not realized they served breakfast too, until yesterday when we stopped in - was excellent and happy to have such a nice breakfast spot back on Cape Ann...

We loved our time at 35 Beach. We were greeted and seated by the owner, and had a table on the porch which is really nice. We had great crab cakes to start and each had a different meal. All enjoyed ours, and the person who ordered the salmon said it was fantastic. I had the pasta and bolognese, tasty. My husband had the chicken Milanese and said it was delicious. The last person also enjoyed their steak frites special. We had dessert but it was just ok- kind of dry. Al's in all a great dinner and evening.
