“Cala’s is the Bee’s Knees! I am blown away with the quality of food and especially the service! Golden nachos COVERED in tender pulled pork and fresh cheese, chicken tenders are hand battered and well seasoned, hand cut french fries cooked to perfection. Food and service have been superb, consistent, and dependable. Definitely a regular spot for us.”

“Laughing Gull Cafe is truly one of the best spots around. The sandwiches and salads are incredible, with super fresh ingredients, and I love that you can watch everything being made right in front of you. They also take allergies seriously and put a lot of care into making sure everyone feels comfortable ordering.

The coffee is Atomic and always excellent. The owner is basically a coffee science wizard, and you can tell the baristas are really well trained and know what they’re doing.

The cafe itself is beautiful inside and out, always spotless and welcoming. Even when they’re busy, they go above and beyond — if there’s a wait, they’ll bring your food right outside to you.

What really stands out, though, is the people. The owners are always there and clearly put so much care into the place. You also see the same staff year after year, which says a lot about how they treat their team. It genuinely feels like a little family.

“Just this morning I placed a mobile order at the Walnut location in South Hamilton because I frequently order from there, but I was actually in Manchester by the Sea at the time and accidentally did not switch the order to the correct store. Ooops 😬 This has never happened to me before, and I realized the mistake only when I arrived at the Manchester location.

The Manchester team was incredibly kind and immediately helped by comping my order (cappuccino and donut) by direction from management, which I didn’t expect and really truly appreciated.

The management team here is spectacular. We have known them for years and they go above and beyond: they keep the Dunkin store in Manchester-by-the-Sea running very smoothly even on the most crowded days and they are very customer focused. Of all the Dunkin’ Donuts I’ve ever been to this is really the nicest one in terms of freshness, quality, friendliness, location, management, and customer service. 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟”

“An Ipswich staple, they have the best sandwiches and roast beef. Always good for grabbing a cheesesteak, roast beef, or chicken salad to name a few of my favorites!”

“The chicken cutlet was fabulous my friends had the Italian Club and chicken alfredo the Porsches was so large and the food was delicious anyone misses going there if they're in the area are really missing a great meal”

“We had a very delicious dinner here when we were visiting and staying in Salem. The atmosphere was great and I have to give a big shout out to our waitress Rachel, who was a total sweetheart and very accommodating, as well as Tori, who took over as our waitress when Rachel's shift was over. “My husband and I sat outside and had a lovely snack in the sun, away from most of the hustle & bustle that October brings to Salem. We thoroughly enjoyed the butternut squash hummus, falafel, and cauliflower & quinoa tabouleh but the real highlight for us was the apple cider! Holy. It was the best we had on our trip around New England. Not too sweet, served nice & hot, lightly spiced and so, so good! The service was wonderful as well! “We hosted my son's high school graduation party in the Bramble room + the upstairs lounge. From start to finish, the staff made the process easy and well organized. While we wanted to host a nice party, we also wanted to keep the costs reasonable. The team was creative with their suggestions and helpful in accommodating our requests. Not hosting this event at home, allowed us to really enjoy our guests and to leave the planning up to the experts. “I am a huge fan of key lime pie and have sampled it at pretty much every opportunity. Each time, I find something that isn’t an A+. The crust is too grainy or crumbly, the bakery has added meringue (which I like on lemon but not lime), or—and this is the most common offender—there is entirely too much lime in the recipe. But the key lime pie I had at Caramel was exceptional in every possible way, especially in its balance of lime flavor. I didn’t try anything else there, so I can’t vouch for the macarons or other goodies, but if you love key lime pie, RUN to this bakery!”
