“What can we say… There were 14 of us over from Scotland ( Ayrshire Area) for the World Cup. We were well looked after, Food excellent, Staff amazing. We can't recommend this cafe enough. It made the start to our day all the better for coming here for breakfast….everyday during our trip. A Special thanks to (the Red head girl) sorry for got your name…..you truly are a star. Also pass our sincere appreciation to Mo for buying our breakfast on our last day. If this town represents the USA you should all be very proud, well absolutely loved staying in Manchester by the sea.

“Cala’s is the Bee’s Knees! I am blown away with the quality of food and especially the service! Golden nachos COVERED in tender pulled pork and fresh cheese, chicken tenders are hand battered and well seasoned, hand cut french fries cooked to perfection. Food and service have been superb, consistent, and dependable. Definitely a regular spot for us.”

“Just this morning I placed a mobile order at the Walnut location in South Hamilton because I frequently order from there, but I was actually in Manchester by the Sea at the time and accidentally did not switch the order to the correct store. Ooops 😬 This has never happened to me before, and I realized the mistake only when I arrived at the Manchester location.

The Manchester team was incredibly kind and immediately helped by comping my order (cappuccino and donut) by direction from management, which I didn’t expect and really truly appreciated.

The management team here is spectacular. We have known them for years and they go above and beyond: they keep the Dunkin store in Manchester-by-the-Sea running very smoothly even on the most crowded days and they are very customer focused. Of all the Dunkin’ Donuts I’ve ever been to this is really the nicest one in terms of freshness, quality, friendliness, location, management, and customer service. 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟”

“We had a very delicious dinner here when we were visiting and staying in Salem. The atmosphere was great and I have to give a big shout out to our waitress Rachel, who was a total sweetheart and very accommodating, as well as Tori, who took over as our waitress when Rachel's shift was over. “My husband and I sat outside and had a lovely snack in the sun, away from most of the hustle & bustle that October brings to Salem. We thoroughly enjoyed the butternut squash hummus, falafel, and cauliflower & quinoa tabouleh but the real highlight for us was the apple cider! Holy. It was the best we had on our trip around New England. Not too sweet, served nice & hot, lightly spiced and so, so good! The service was wonderful as well! “We hosted my son's high school graduation party in the Bramble room + the upstairs lounge. From start to finish, the staff made the process easy and well organized. While we wanted to host a nice party, we also wanted to keep the costs reasonable. The team was creative with their suggestions and helpful in accommodating our requests. Not hosting this event at home, allowed us to really enjoy our guests and to leave the planning up to the experts. Everyone loved the food and the service staff went out of their way to make this a memorable night! Thanks again!”

“It’s a lovely setting right by the water, so a fantastic place to go on a sunny day.

Beer-wise I tried three. One of the pilsners was excellent, another was decent, then I tried a NEIPA which I thought was actually pretty poor. So overall a little disappointed in the beers given the reputation this place has, but maybe it was just bad luck. I’d stick to lagers on any future visit.

We also had a pretzel and cheese sauce as a snack and that was very tasty.”

“Stopped in this past Saturday, on a trip up from Florida. Watched the dog training class for a bit and their welcome inside, and sampled a couple of the "offerings". Great brews! As a former home brewer, brought back a couple memories (Porter and IPA). And the bartender was GREAT!! 🙂”

“I am a huge fan of key lime pie and have sampled it at pretty much every opportunity. Each time, I find something that isn’t an A+. The crust is too grainy or crumbly, the bakery has added meringue (which I like on lemon but not lime), or—and this is the most common offender—there is entirely too much lime in the recipe. But the key lime pie I had at Caramel was exceptional in every possible way, especially in its balance of lime flavor. I didn’t try anything else there, so I can’t vouch for the macarons or other goodies, but if you love key lime pie, RUN to this bakery!”
