Cala's is a good choice in downtown Manchester-by-the-Sea. Has a busy bar area, as well seating for dining. Menu is diverse and there is something for most everyone.

Great restaurant. The staff are friendly and everything tastes so fresh. I would recommend the lobster roll. The fried pickles are nice, too. I was visiting Manchester-by-the-sea, and I went here for lunch at about 12:30 P.M. and it wasn't too crowded. The singing beach is close by, and this restaurant seems to be close to the town center here. The train station is right across the street.

Cala’s is the Bee’s Knees! I am blown away with the quality of food and especially the service! Golden nachos COVERED in tender pulled pork and fresh cheese, chicken tenders are hand battered and well seasoned, hand cut french fries cooked to perfection. Food and service have been superb, consistent, and dependable. Definitely a regular spot for us.

The food we had on our entire trip. Never had baked haddock before this and would highly recommend 12/10 for sure. The atmosphere was perfect and the service was impressive.
Took my folks here for the old man’s birthday. Enjoyed some wonderful food, and the best part was the service! Jenna was very accommodating, and helped to make this a very nice b-day memory.

Authentic tin ceilings. Classic New England interior design. It’s everything you want in a north shore pub. It gets busy and the Waitstaff has their hands full navigating an onslaught of hungry clientele.
Had a few things worth noting - The nachos featured a surprisingly flavorful pulled pork and pickled jalapeños. Baked crispy. Nicely done.
Fried clams and onions rings - Awesome.
Yucca fries - surprisingly yummy.
Fish (haddock) tacos - awesome.
It’s all good and everyone was very happy with their food and the whole experience.
