Kyoto Japanese Steak House & Bar

They have changed their online menu and no longer offer teriyaki bento boxes. Their sushi is good but I won't be ordering from here anymore.

BE CAREFULE, this place tries to cheat customers to get double tips. We went to Kyoto Japanese Steak House for dinner with friends, the food is ok, the problem is that the waiter (or the owner?) charged 18% tips already in the bill without telling us, there is no any other sign but a regular receipt, he was expecting customers to pay tips on top of that. This is cheating, another type of thief. I don’t recommend this restaurant, it is not an honest business.

DO NOT GO PLEASE! The guy who works there is extremely rude and I had never experienced someone so unprofessional like that in my life. Kyoto has an all-you-can-eat sushi option and since he’s the only server there ( I believe he is the owner) he gives people attitude who choose the buffet option. Last time we were there, we were told by the hostess that we could pay the full price but we would me limited to ONLY 25 pieces of sashimi/sushi, EVEN THOUGH, it was an all-you-can-eat option, WE WERE THE ONLY ONES that she told us this because he complained to a friend of mine (whom he saw with us one time) that we eat a lot! Of course he was even ruder to us and the next day, me and my husband started feeling sick because I strongly believe that he served us spoiled food! NEVER AGAIN we’ll step foot at this place, I’m telling you, you can see for yourself if you want but be prepared for an unpleasant service, rude staff, discrimination attitude and spoiled food.

I’ve been coming here every once in a while for about 6 years (when I moved to Mansfield). I have been served by the same very nice man every time and the food has always been delicious. The reason why they get a low score in the atmosphere department is that it needs some serious maintenance and upgrading. Bathrooms are bad and the rest of the place needs upgrades. I advise they do this while they still have happy customers.

Ordered off of Doordash so I'm not sure how the sit-in experience would be. Delicious food received! Spicy maki combo, miso soup, and pork gyoza. I will definitely be back, whether it's another splurge doordash or actually check them out inside!

Had birthday celebration 🎂 here..went for drinks and duck spring roll appetitizers..very yummy 😋 made my birthday special as well

Got the sushi lunch- rice was falling apart, they used super fatty & fibrous salmon and the spicy tuna roll was complete mush. Super disappointing.

Best Asian food around town! Great sushi, ramen, and hibachi lunches too!

My husband and I came here after shopping at the outlet and the food was amazing. We ordered the shrimp and vegetables tempura for an app, chicken udon for the husband and monster roll for myself. Everything was phenomenal! The tempura was crunchy and hot but not oily, the udon had a wonderful flavor and fresh veggies plus a soy sauce soaked egg that I could have eaten a dozen of, and my sushi was perfect. If we lived closer we would order from here all the time. I guess we will start a new tradition of coming here after we go shopping at the outlets.

Mediocre food and mediocre customer service. The hostess gives me attitude Everytime I come in like she doesn't like me or something, sometimes giving me dirty looks and screaming at me like I did something wrong. And not to mention, she even fat shames customers right in front of their faces.
