Blue Canoe is a great spot to check out, I would highly recommend it to anyone. I've gone here a number of times and it's always a great experience. They make great coffee and always have homemade pastries and other breakfast food.
Cute little cafe, nice atmosphere. Got a blueberry muffin, which was very good, and a large, extremely hot Earl grey tea. Sat for a couple hours with a friend and chatted and didn't feel rushed out at all.
Love ❤️ this place for quick service and fresh food. This place needs a matcha latte machine tho. You should get on that. I highly recommend. Shane
Friendly service, diverse menu w/healthy ingredients. Enjoyed sitting outside on the portico of the "little theater", relaxing.

Super cute little cafe. There are many items on the menu. The ornamented theme of this place creates such a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Great service, great food!

I got a hot chocolate and a mini gingerbread. Can’t go wrong with hot chocolate but the mini gingerbread was so cute! A tiny treat for the morning, perfect!
Great service, fair prices, good atmosphere. First time visit. Will be returning for sure. Owner was very hospitable and friendly.

Came here for coffee and a breakfast sandwich as I wanted to support a local business, but neither were good. The cappuccino tasted burnt and the milk wasn't frothed properly, which means it tasted just like a regular coffee with milk. The breakfast sandwich was also very mediocre. The sandwich cost around $6, and the cappuccino another $6. I will not be returning here.

My two favorite foods sound boring to some, but I can't help it -- I'm a savory food kind of person. I love nachos and I love BLTs, and it's amazing how many places have managed to not do these two things well. I have never been able to find a place that can make a good BLT, until now!I needed a quick lunch today and went here on a whim because it was close by. I saw they were closing soon, but there were people inside so I headed in. Sometimes small, local coffee shops can feel drafty or unkempt or just lifeless. As soon as I walked in, I felt like I'd want to sit there for hours. The temperature was just right, and the ambiance felt friendly and warm.I acknowledged that they were closing soon and asked if I could still order a sandwich. They replied in a way that felt welcoming, and not like I was imposing on them (which some places, 15 minutes prior to closing, would have). I ordered the BLT and used the restroom while I waited. Even the restroom was pleasant!I sat in one of the two window bays on a comfortable stool (again, perfect! sometimes they're way too high for a 4'10" to get up on, or off), with a complimentary cup of water (I love when cafes have serve yourself water). One of the servers brought my sandwich over and even on first glance I could tell it was going to be good. No wilted lettuce, no weird bread, perfect amount of mayo and bacon. It was the best BLT I've had at a restaurant, even better than I make at home. So, 5 stars for great ambiance, friendly, unrushed service, and a great BLT! I have no doubt that their other food is just as good.

Marblehead is full of the most wonderful diners and coffee shops! The Blue Canoe Cafe is a must, however. The decor is fitting for a coastal town that is very proud of their maritime history. The staff are very pleasant and polite. The food and coffee were wonderful- particularly their yogurt bowls, absolutely to die for!

I'm ashamed that I've lived in marblehead a few years now and never tried this place. I highly recommend a simple coffee or latte so you can taste how simply delicious it is. It's also kid friendly (etch-a-sketches a great way to keep them sitting) and my son found a favorite gluten free option in the breakfast sandwich wrap.
