Old school place. Worth the time. Good service and food

The prices are amazing, exactly what I would expect to pay at a small diner. The wait staff is fast moving and professional.

Place is seriously amazing

If you want a $31 omelette with a $18 watery mimosa, skip this place. If you want a delicious breakfast that has a huge portion, is well made in a diner atmosphere with friendly locals…here you go. We had a wonderful breakfast, and the thirty or so seats were filled with mix of tourists, locals and college kids. The food is terrific, two huge breakfasts for $30…no pretense. Shaved truffle eggs have their place, but pancakes or some home fries are breakfast!

Four of us enjoyed a delicious breakfast at Driftwood on Saturday morning. We got there a little before 9 AM and got a table without waiting. Staff was very friendly and attentive and the food came in probably 20 minutes or so. The blueberry pancakes and the blueberry/banana pancakes were delicious! Veggie omelette was also very good, with all the ingredients properly cooked. The diner-style coffee was okay as expected. There aren't many tables, but there is bar seating.

No website, Google says “open, closes at 2pm”. Drive 45 minutes, closed for vacation. These places should not be on social media if they’re too lazy to keep up to date.

cash only, throwback to when America met neighbors at phenomenal breakfast spots, & people could afford things for their families, HIGHLY recommend

Gas station grade coffee, absolutely horrible, but it's ultimate David Lynch diner experience. So 1+5/2=3.

We recently returned to the UK from wonderful Marblehead. We went to The driftwood for breakfast several times as we loved the atmosphere. It is a very simple place but very authentic and the breakfasts are great. Unfortunately the last time we went we were greeted by a younger waitress who turned out to be the only unfriendly person I met in this great town, actually the first unfriendly person I have met in New England. She refused to let me order anything for my wife until she arrived three minutes later then shouted at me because presumably struggled with my English accent. We did stay and had our breakfasts. Perhaps she was having a bad day but certainly ruined mine.

The Driftwood Restaurant is an absolute standout for both food and atmosphere. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm, relaxed vibe that makes it perfect for everything from a casual lunch to a special dinner out.

The menu offers a great variety—fresh seafood, hearty burgers, and creative daily specials. I had the walleye sandwich and it was perfectly cooked: crispy on the outside, flaky on the inside, and loaded with flavor. The side of seasoned fries was a great touch, and the portion size was generous.

Service was fast and friendly, and the staff really went the extra mile to make sure everything was just right. The lakefront views (if you’re near water) or cozy indoor seating add to the experience, depending on the season.
