Old school place. Worth the time. Good service and food

The prices are amazing, exactly what I would expect to pay at a small diner. The wait staff is fast moving and professional.

Place is seriously amazing

Four of us enjoyed a delicious breakfast at Driftwood on Saturday morning. We got there a little before 9 AM and got a table without waiting. Staff was very friendly and attentive and the food came in probably 20 minutes or so. The blueberry pancakes and the blueberry/banana pancakes were delicious! Veggie omelette was also very good, with all the ingredients properly cooked. The diner-style coffee was okay as expected. There aren't many tables, but there is bar seating.

Gas station grade coffee, absolutely horrible, but it's ultimate David Lynch diner experience. So 1+5/2=3.

The Driftwood Restaurant is an absolute standout for both food and atmosphere. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm, relaxed vibe that makes it perfect for everything from a casual lunch to a special dinner out.

The menu offers a great variety—fresh seafood, hearty burgers, and creative daily specials. I had the walleye sandwich and it was perfectly cooked: crispy on the outside, flaky on the inside, and loaded with flavor. The side of seasoned fries was a great touch, and the portion size was generous.

Service was fast and friendly, and the staff really went the extra mile to make sure everything was just right. The lakefront views (if you’re near water) or cozy indoor seating add to the experience, depending on the season.

The Driftwood – A Timeless Gem in Marblehead

Nestled along the scenic waterfront of Marblehead, The Driftwood stands as a cherished institution, offering a quintessential New England breakfast experience. Since its inception in the early 1960s, this humble diner has been a haven for locals and visitors alike, drawn by its hearty fare and warm, familial atmosphere.

The interior exudes a nostalgic charm, with its classic counter seating and red-topped tables, reminiscent of a bygone era. Longtime waitress Jan Frost, who has been a fixture since 1970, embodies the establishment’s enduring spirit, greeting patrons with genuine warmth and familiarity.

Culinary offerings are both comforting and indulgent. Signature dishes like the Pancake Sundae McDrift, adorned with bananas, blueberries, strawberries, and whipped cream, delight the senses, while savory staples such as corned beef hash with eggs and toast showcase the kitchen’s commitment to traditional flavors.

This diner is a true gem. Highly recommend the cheeseburger club.
