Evan’s New York Style Deli is amazing!!!!!!! I recommend their sandwich The Mixed Marriage, The Champion, and Evan’s Choice. I f you are visiting the area or live here, GO HERE! Some of their amenities include: nice & friendly staff, freshly cooked food, and great decoration.

Was driving by at just past 10 am with a hungry belly, figured "Why not, it's Friday". 2 very nice ladies were behind the counter, and a few folks in line. I was asked if I was ready to order, and was let known breakfast or lunch is not a problem. I went with the Mixed Marriage sandwich. This beauty had the meats, brisket, bacon, ham, and some veggies with a horseradish sauce on an onion roll. Sandwich was a thing of beauty, well made, not too messy, and quality ingredients in proper proportions. The only critique I have is the pickle was a bit lack luster. I wish I took a picture, but I wasn't expecting a sandwich with brisket to be that good at 10am. I plan to stop and try more specialty sandwiches if I am in the area again, and recommend anyone reading this review do the same. Evan's Deli has the meats!

This was definitely not what I expected. While I didn’t anticipate it to be as vibrant nor photogenic as the photo on Uber, I did expect it to more closely resemble what was advertised on the app with actual slices of salmon (and not bits). This felt visually misleading, and I’m not sure whether to blame the restaurant, Uber or even myself for ordering. Either way, I won’t be ordering this sandwich again. I’ll probably try a different sandwich next time.
Giving 2 stars since I’m sure the staff was excellent and the food did come quickly, however product was not as expected given no description besides Uber photo reference.

We went here because they were close to our new home, and we were not disappointed. They gave us some great sandwiches and great knishes. The owner was also friendly and welcoming. If you haven't tried Evan's, I would recommend giving them a shot. Because it's definitely a local landmark!

I have passed this building for years and never paid attention to what was inside. I won't make that mistake again! What this deli lacks in genteel atmosphere, it more than makes up for in friendly service and terrific food! Don't miss the chopped liver!!!

Place was dead and I felt pressured to order quickly. 2 sandwiches for almost $40? food wasn't that great and got one of two sandwiches incorrect. and again it was dead. Sheesh
Side note: give the cucumbers (pickles) to the gulls

Very much a “meh” experience. The place is kind of minimal to no decor though there are a few tables. They have an Evan’s wifi but they don’t let customers use it! Why not name the wifi something else so as not to cause dissatisfaction? Reuben was ok, but just a 3 stars. I’ve had far better reuben’s.

Oh … my …. Goodness!!! We treated ourselves to a morning delivery of bagels and knishes and it was amazingly good!!! If you haven’t tried their (or anyone’s) knishes, you really should treat yourselves. I had the pastrami knish and the brisket knish. Both are delicious fistfuls of classic NY Deli meats in a light pastry - basically it’s handheld beef bbq without the sauce. Such a luxury! Evans is now our go to for delicious deli on the North Shore! Also a big shout out to Salem 104.9 FM for broadcasting from Evans NY Deli over the holidays - that how I learned about this great deli just a few blocks from the MHD historic district
