Food is pretty solid. There are better Mexican spots nearby but the people are great and the food is pretty good. The Al Pastor Tacos were really tasty.
I will start by saying this is based on my first and only visit so far. Missing authentic Mex after having lived over a decade in the southwest I was excited to try this place out. Unfortunately it didn't live up to my expectations. I had fair tamales, mediocre house margaritas and the best part of my meal was the Mexican rice and refried beans. Arriving at 4pm on a Friday the restaurant was not busy. The service frequency was acceptable however the attitude of the server left a bit to be desired. The cost of my meal with tip was about $35. I would pick another Mex place over this one next time I go out.
Great service and food. The most perfect Carne Asada!
Best Mexican food I've had in years! Friendly staff. Great service. I can't wait to go back!
Ordered takeout burrito bowls advertised as your standard rice, beans, meat, sour cream, guacamole. Fantastic! How do you mess this up? Well 1/3 of each $24 bowl is filles with broccoli, carrots, cauliflower, and PICKLES. The pickle juice especially oozed and seeped into the rice and beans and the entire bowl tasted gross. Couldn't eat more than a few bites. Avoid this place.
quite literally the worst restaurant experience i’ve had in my life. server forgot about us and it took 40 minutes to order
Updating this from 5 stars to 2... over a year later this place has taken a turn for the worse. I used to go here for lunch on occasion and buy a la carte tacos that were tremendous. Soft corn shells, well seasoned ingredients, fresh cilantro, onion and a lime to squeeze. A couple of these and a draft beer would cost $13 before tip. The lunch menu has transformed into 20+ dollar entrees... for the most part all tex mex style, everything covered in cheese and sauce. The a la carte tacos gone. I can, however, buy 3 tacos for 20+ dollars, all covered in sauces and cheese. If you're looking for expensive tex mex I guess this is the place to go. If you're looking for affordable mexican cuisine I'd consider looking elsewhere.
I just don’t want to feel cheated, I have friends in the industry that are waiters, and most of the time they have automatic gratuity when it’s a large party, and it’s usually 18%
Now I feel like 4 people is not considered a large party, and from what the waiter at this restaurant basically told us, is that if the plates are expensive then automatic tips get added, and it wasn’t no 18%…. it was more. Food was great don’t get me wrong, but when a tip is forced on you like this, it just makes me not want to come back.
I was at Wemmys in Marlborough last week, and no automatic gratuity was added for a party of 4, and that’s with a more expensive food selection.
Food is good, service is a bit slow. Slow cooked meat are pretty dry and bland. Grilled meat is good.

In the small town of Marlboro, west of Boston, you'll find Don Patron—a delightful Mexican restaurant that stands out for all the right reasons. Unlike big city establishments filled with pretentious patrons, this place is frequented by friendly neighborhood folks who appreciate authentic Mexican cuisine.
The stylish bar might be generally empty, but the dining area is always full, which speaks volumes about the excellent food quality. Unlike some high-end French restaurants where you might leave disappointed, Don Patron delivers exactly what you expect, if not more. The food is consistently top-notch, and the service is impeccable.
Every visit is a pleasure with excellent food, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere. And let's not forget their damn good lemonade—it's a must-try! Don Patron truly has mastered the art of providing a perfect dining experience every time.

The food is okay. Edited. We just went back this time to go. The guy sounded irritated and wanted us to combine the 2 checks and demanded we combine the checks saying one was only $16 which it actually was higher. I asked him to keep the checks split. He then left out the tortillas on the higher of the 2 checks. Went back again and the same thing happened with the tortillas this time they took them out of the bag when we asked for our missing items. The service is poor here. Also, we were overcharged when we went here for lunch and asked to order from the lunch menu on mother visit they charged us for dinner. They nickel and dime you to death
